  • In this season finale episode, we dive deep into the subject of self-compassion. Why is it so hard to extend compassion to ourselves, when we so easily give it to others?

For the first time on this podcast, both Sandra and Laura have recorded a surprise story to play for one another without knowing what the other one is bringing to the table. It opens up for a vulnerable and honest conversation about the difficulty of truly embracing oneself and the continuous work of accepting our own imperfections.

Also in this episode—transformational coach Agnes Branny clarifies the difference between 'self compassion' and 'self care'. She provides a unique insight into why the general perception of self esteem can eventually lead to depression, but also how our understanding of ourselves as 'cyclical beings' can help us shift perspectives and even change our lives.

And then for the first time ever, ‘The Coming Home' song is aired. This piece of music magic is created and sung by Sandra Andreis herself, together with Caroline Ljungström and Henrik Jonzon. They made it as a reminder to us all to relax and connect with yourself when your head is spinning. Something to listen, play and dance to when you simply need to come home.

In this episode we touch upon:

-The three pillars of self compassion.

-The inner critic vs the inner friend.

-Why uncertainty in itself is not something to overcome.

    -The importance of failing.

-How to set intentions instead of tasks.

  • How do we find new ways to move forward from critical moments in our lives with peace and ease? Can we be authentic, go above the uncomfortable criticisms of people and be unflinchingly true to ourselves? And, how do we "come home" to ourselves and our loved ones? These are questions we've all pondered over. And on this new show called Coming Home, two people go on a quest to answer these questions
 and much more.

Hosts Sandra Andreis and Laura Bach are Nordic actresses who have worked all over the world, and have now embarked on a mission to create a storytelling podcast they've yearned for in their own lives. Coming Home creates a safe space for courageous and vulnerable stories, and hosts them along with scientific as well as spiritual perspectives from some of the world’s leading experts.

In the first segment of each episode, we invite a fellow actor, artist or norm breaker, who generously shares a pivotal moment from their lives, and talk about what lessons they have learned from it. In the second part—we're joined by a researcher, scientist, spiritual coach or a self-development professional who reacts to the story and provides further insight by sharing their knowledge and hands-on advice on the topic. In this show, you'll hear from the likes of Ane Brun, renowned Norwegian songwriter and vocalist; Stockholm-based Neuroscientist Per Hamid Ghatan; Vanessa Page, a life coach from South Africa; and other inspiring individuals who have a story to tell and life lessons to teach.

Coming Home is a narrative-driven experience that explores what we can learn from our stories, and how we can create a more sustainable lifestyle from the inside out. We’re all about getting inspired to break behavioural patterns that make us feel stuck, and to remind listeners that we're all in this together. Welcome, tune in and come home with us! First episode drops on March 4th 2022, with a new episode every two weeks.
