TEAMCPNZ Quick Connect EP 4 – 'Stay informed and stay connected'
CP Athlete Nat Gallant is an Adventurer/Physiotherapist based in Blenheim who has a love of running and all things backcountry. She recently completed the longest day Coast to Coast which she nailed but in the grand scheme of her summer it was just another mission on her jam packed calender adventures.
So while the rest of us have been in recovery mode over the last 5 weekend, Nat has…
- Climbed Manakau a 2880m peak in the Kaikoura ranges, - Jogged around Wharariki which is just south of Farewell Spit in Golden Bay
- Had a crack at climbing Mt Aspiring Wanaka
- Danced lots at Electric Avenue in Hagley Park
- Jogged up and down the Pinnacle a 1400 metre peak Richmond Ranges…
We look forward to talking to Nat about her summer of adventures, her physio practice and future adventures she has on the cards.

Season 5 Episode 4 of the Kathmandu Coast to Coast Podcast, powered by Team CP
Episode 4 of this season is all about managing your expectations.
First up we are joined by Paula Rule from The Mental Edge. A big source of nerves in the lead-up to the Coast to Coast and standing on the start line comes from the expectations of others. For those at the top of the field, it could be through media and sponsors but for most of us, there is a perceived expectation from friends and family. These may be to win, to achieve a good result in your category or to complete the event. Paula will offer some advice for athletes on how to manage these expectations.
Ben Jordan is also on the show. While most events these days can be done solo where there is one transition and an athlete can turn up with their gear and go for it. The Kathmandu Coast to Coast is different as there are some tricky logistics spread across over 200kms of windy New Zealand Roads. Ben was one of Team CP's supported athletes in 2023, so we are going to have a chat with him about his experience and what tips he has for others.
We also chat with Alice Mullins, who is lining up with the elites this year in the Longest Day. Alice will give us an insight into her strategies around how to manage personal expectations.
Stay tuned for an action-packed season!
