  • Once again, I answer a question from you guys! 

     

    I have gotten this question time and time again from women doing the 30-Day Reboot 

     

    The question usually goes along the lines of “I started the 30-Day Reboot, and I binged, does this mean I have to start from day 1, what do I do?” 

     

    This is a very loaded and subjective question. 

     

    From the nature of the question, you can tell it’s specific for women currently doing the 30DR, but if you feel like you’ve been struggling with feelings of inadequacy then I suggest giving this one a listen!

     

    Everyone is different, and a huge part of food freedom is listening and getting back in touch with what your body needs. I will tell you my take on this. This journey is so personal; if what I say doesn’t sit right with you, then I suggest you do what feels right for you and your body!

    I start off the first podcast of 2023 with a few updates on where I am in terms of my relationship with my food and body, just so you can have an insight on what it can be like for you in the future when you put in the work!

     

    It’s always helpful to hear different perspectives since most of the stories you’ve been hearing so far are from people who are IN the process or just came out of it.

     

    Just a sneak peek: Christmas has not been triggering for me food-wise for the past 5 years! It wasn’t stressful at all, nor was it emotionally damaging! In terms of cravings, I am still finding what works for me, still finding what works in different seasons of my life. I also give an update on what happened after a month of no desserts!

     

    In this podcast I tackle the following questions that I have gotten from you guys time and time again:

    1. What is overeating?

    2. What are the common reasons for overeating?

    3. How can I stop overeating so often?

    4. Is the 30-Day Reboot helpful for overeaters?

  • This episode is gonna be a little bit different! 

     

    As you may know, I have been on this food and body journey for almost half a decade, but it is not without its difficulties. In this episode, I talk about the progression of my food and body journey, what it might look like for you, and the obstacles that I still face, and yet still move through. 

     

    Instead of answering one of your questions as I usually do, in this pod I have the following for you:

(Hint: it’s a sale!)  An update on where I’m at with my food and body journey (sneak peek: I lovingly went off dessert for 30 days!) Tips on how to take back your power! (This was how I lovingly went 30 days without dessert) Mantras that could be helpful to you in your food journey no matter where you are in it!

     

    This year, I noticed I was doing a lot of boredom eating. I also noticed desserts had become a big part of my diet which in my opinion is a non-necessity food item. It felt like the dessert had control over me. So, I lovingly went 30 days without desserts. If this is something you’re interested in doing, I drop a few tips on how I went 30 days without desserts!

    **Please note that I don’t advise you to do this if you’re still struggling with food freedom**

     

    My personal hopes for next year:

     More regular exercise  Morning walks Normalize getting more veggies in my meals Less refined sugar Regular healthier periods More varied home-cooked meals  Work on sleep quality and quantity More body positivity (also: itty bitty titty committee) mantras

  • In this week’s episode, I answer another question I got from one of you guys! I answer the question “should I stop calorie counting even if I get a lot of peace of mind from it?”

     

    Some people find calorie counting easy and some people find it’s not at all easy. Let’s discuss this.

     

    Firstly, I start off by defining what calorie counting even is. 



     

    Calorie counting is measuring and finding out how many calories you’re eating while tracking it down mentally or on an app. Calorie counting is keeping track of how many calories you’re expelling when you work out or move around.

     

    Basically, I define calorie counting as a hyperawareness of how many calories are coming in and out of your body. 


    Then, I mention the pros and cons of calorie counting and I answer these questions and more: 

    Why do people calorie count?How to decide whether or not calorie counting is good for you and if you should stop doing itHow can you stop if it is something you should be stopping?

    I leave you with quick little pointers on stopping calorie counting.

     

    Hopefully, this episode gives you clarity on whether calorie counting is for you!

    In this episode we are going to dive into everything to do with overeating, bingeing on healthy foods, the reason behind bingeing on healthy foods, is it possible to gain weight from bingeing on healthy food, whether it even counts as binge eating, and so much more!

  • Hey Fam!

    I wanted to make today’s episode to reassure those of you who are undoubtedly fearing that binge eating will always be a factor in your life. I completely understand the feeling. Throughout my 20s I believed that binging was a part of my personality and as a result I really did think that binge urges would always plague me and I would be in a constant battle with food. 

    Well, I am here to assure you that is so far from the truth. I now have the healthiest relationship with food and my body that I can imagine. The urge to binge is entirely non-existent and I can proudly say that “I do NOT struggle with food!”.

    If you are in a place where you are doubting whether full recovery is possible, then I urge you to listen to this podcast. I know this would have been music to my ears had I heard it during the depths of my struggles.

    As the title suggests, this week's episode is all about overcoming the fear of gaining weight when practising intuitive eating. I think this is an incredibly important topic to discuss because I know the fear is real! HOWEVER, I also know that intuitive eating is 100% worth it and therefore it is important that I help dispel any concerns you may have surrounding your own journey.
