How do we do Intensive? The underlying format of the Intensive is kind of less important. Most of the time, people are often curious about the curriculum because they are comparing it with what others offer.
With an informational experience, the common question is, do you already know this or not? And if you don't already know this, then there is something you can learn. That is very different from transformational experience.
The transformational container is not about learning something new, it is about unlocking access to a new way of being for you.
What we do is support you to have the experience you want to have regardless of particular circumstances. If we can support and help you create a breakthrough regardless of particular circumstances, that breakthrough becomes available everywhere in life. That is the power of a transformational container.
Listen as we discuss more about how the Intensive works its magic. Enjoy the show!

Seeing the path versus seeing a path is one of the more fundamental traps we fall into when we are engaging in the process of developing someone's leadership, coaching someone, and supporting someone.
It often happens in friendships, family relationships, romantic relationships, and parent-child relationships. It is a product of a desire to help someone along their path.
You are watching them walk their path, and then what you want to do is you want to give them some advice, tell them what to do, and make suggestions.
This desire comes from a good place. Usually, it is because you genuinely want to support people and make a difference to people.
The impact of this in the short term is that people might feel better. It will also make us feel good and put us on the leader pedestal.
But at some level, what you are doing when you do this is that you are creating the energy of not trusting someone along their path. It is not trusting that the path someone is walking is the exact path that they need to be walking.
Listen as you will learn more about the distinction between seeing a path versus seeing the path for someone, the reasons we do it, and the impact of it. Enjoy the show!

We are now on the last part of Adam Quiney's series, 'Anatomy of a Retreat.' He talks about completion.
In most events, webinars, sessions, or ceremonies, people end with a small celebration or an afterglow. There's not a lot of care put into the notion of completion.
When we talk about the notion of being complete, it is sort of having no leftover energy. No open loops of energy around something. At a retreat, their commitment is that people not leave incomplete.
Listen and know more about the idea of completion and what we mean by it. Enjoy the show!

With an educational retreat, the curriculum is the utmost priority. Without that, there is not much happening. That is how most of the webinars, workshops, and retreats operate.
In a retreat where the priority is transformation, the curriculum is secondary to that. They are using tools and techniques, new concepts, and exercises that people went through.
For Adam Quiney, whatever is going on in the moment, that is their curriculum. It doesn't matter how fast you think you should go. Move at a tempo.
Listen to the 3rd part of this 4-part series about the Anatomy of a Retreat about Curriculum. Enjoy the show!

Adolf Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician who rose to power as the leader of the Nazi Party. Hitler did horrible things and ultimately was a horrible person.
Adam's challenge question for this episode is, "How would you coach Hitler?"
The starting point for working with anyone is to see the light in the face of whatever is currently showing up at the moment.
In this episode, Adam set an example of coaching Hitler before he started the Holocaust. Listen as he covered different topics in this question like survival mechanism, magnetism, and presence. Enjoy the show!

In the second episode of the Anatomy of a Retreat by Adam Quiney, he discussed the topic 'Finalizing with the Leadership Team.' He talks about what happens during the retreat proper and the nature of the transformational container.
The nature of a transformational container is that it almost doesn't matter what conversation you are having. If you are holding a container transformationally, you are doing your work with your coach to clear where you stand.
Our work with the leadership team is about something other than the content. It is about creating containers such that people feel like they can be vulnerable, and they can take responsibility.

Adam Quiney covered two topics in this episode of The Transformational Leader. These two topics have a lot of commonalities. The questions that, "When do I no longer need coaching?" and a feeling that some people have that "Coaching is a cult."
No one needs coaching. Not a single person needs a coach. As soon as you impose this idea upon them that they need a coach, it's going to be harder for them to open themselves up to the idea that they can benefit from one.
When do you no longer need a coach? Right now. You don't need a coach. Listen as we tackle more about these topics! Enjoy the show!

The trait of narcissism. It is what people are referring to when they say, "Oh, he was a narcissist."
Typically, one of the ways that this trait shows up is when someone always talks about themselves or someone who is always trying to give recognition to themselves. In addition, these are the people who steal the spotlight or just hold the spotlight and don't give anyone else any space.
As you rise in leadership, you are naturally going to see these kinds of traits.
Listen and know the options you can do to address this kind of trait and how to understand narcissism. Enjoy the show!

How you relate to life is just like an event that has happened, and there's nothing you can do about that event. It's either good or bad.
You are not aware of what's going on below the surface of our immediacy and emotionality. Because you don't have access below that, you end up being a victim of that fact. Anything that you can't have any control over, you are a victim of it.
The truth is, the events that happen in your life are attached to your relationship to what has happened. Therefore, everything is your relationship to it.

Whether they like it or not, most leaders operate over top of what is already there. While seemingly harmless, this can actually get in the way of their leadership. For instance, when there is negativity in the space, rather than getting clear and addressing what’s there, some leaders tend to just adopt solutions on top of what is present. When this happens, they’ll have a leadership that’s dictated by the past as opposed to one that’s operating in pure possibility. So how should leaders address this kind of scenario accordingly? What impact will this have on their leadership? I’ll discuss the answers to those questions and more in today’s episode so don’t forget to join me!
