  • How do we shield our self-worth from rejections? Can girls ask guys out? Is attraction subjective? How do we stop taking things personally?

"Just shoot your shot!" they say, but we know it's never just that easy — you need a mindset of steel to chase romantic pursuits without shame. In this episode, let's talk about that mindset.

Alison is the QUEEN of unshakeable confidence in "shooting her shot" and radiating authenticity in every interaction. Tune in for big sister advice on asking people out, the nuances of attraction, reframing rejection, the value of communication and honesty, and finally, how to DATE with confidence so you don't live at the crutch of "what if"s.

This is a conversation I know I NEEDED. I hope it gives you that extra boost to take the romantic risk, for it just might change your life.

  • Did you know that the single most IMPORTANT indicator of lasting health and happiness in a given person's life is the quality of their connections? In other words, even in the midst of our busy adult lives, do NOT de-prioritize your pals!

Since my previous friendships episode in Dec 2021 (ep 51), I've experienced two more years of new friendship lessons, some being harsher truths — specifically, SIX key lessons on the topics of growing apart, setting boundaries, making friends, lasting connections, and my personal tips to resist the loneliness epidemic.

If you find it tough to make friends, keep friends, communicate boundaries, get triggered easily, or feel a general sense of confusion about friendships as an ADULT, this episode's for you. It's tough love style (as my solo talks always are), and I hope it brings a morsel of epiphanies, reflection, and the final nudge to check in on a friend today. :)

  • How does one TRULY embody their authentic selves and love themselves from the inside-out?! Surprise, it's the opposite of fluffy sunshines and rainbows — let's talk body dysmorphia, eating disorders, breakups, haters, and calorie obsessions, just a few of several culprits that dragged Alison and I through the pits of low self-worth to come out stronger on the other side.

When did we start deciding we no longer liked ourselves, and how did that perception shape the things we eat, people we date, what we post, and who we see in the mirror? But most importantly, what are the mindsets and beliefs that brought us to where we are now — living in alignment with who we truly are? Tune in for a raw, lowkey spiritual convo that'll leave you with more epiphanies than one.

  • Take a walk with me! Toronto TOTALLY shifted my identity, and here, I share it ALL — full-blown adulting, living the downtown pace, embracing all the unknowns, and building unshakeable confidence. Putting your "avatar" someplace new is *bound* to unlock more of your potential, and what better time to do this than your twenties?! Lifechanging is an understatement, and four months wasn't nearly enough — so for the while I'm here back home, these are the Toronto takeaways I'm committed to embodying for the rest of 2023 and into the new year! To cap our summer in Toronto, my roommate Andrew and I went on an adventure, high (in case you missed it), and ended the night with a nonsensical yet oddly deep conversation. Tune in for a nugget of our vibes: from debating the English language, to reflecting on the passage of time, to describing the average Asian, to our sixth sense, to exposure therapy, to the richness of food, to... you get the idea. Tis the perfect mix of laughter, shower thoughts, and yes — motivation, 'cuz it's in our blood! ENJOY!

  • From the pursuit of a Ferrari to the pursuit of peace. Debunking confirmation bias and escaping delusion. Pain and suffering — why one is inevitable but the other is optional. These are a few life lessons we discuss with a dose of philosophy that are very applicable; learn about Carlo's career journey from aspiring engineer to now self-employed piano teacher and piano consultant. Let's talk about the dangers of blind faith in aphorisms, how a psychedelic trip snapped Carlo's career 180 degrees, and a ten-day meditation retreat that teaches the value of awareness and peace of mind like no book or seminar could ever match.

This episode features Carlo Santos, full-time piano teacher and 2020 National Gold Medal recipient from the Royal Conservatory of Music. You can find out more about Carlo and his studio at www.carlosantos.ca and connect with him on IG @santos.pianoguy.

  • You can rewire your brain to break free from old narratives. You can heal and be liberated from your trauma. You can show up as your most authentic self to your relationships and the world, without projecting your wounds onto your experience of reality. Spirituality meets science in this healing conversation with Jemarc, radical spiritual guide and transformational life coach, where we get uncomfortably real about reframing trauma, true spiritual wellbeing, and why saving yourself is the first step to showing up for others — all made sense through neuroplasticity, neurolinguistic programming, and the power of mindset and presence.

This episode features Jemarc Axinto, Spiritual Guide and Transformational Life Coach.
