  • Welcome to a new episode of Panel of Minds!

Every week I bring together the greatest minds in the world on a panel to dig into a topic I'm curious to learn about. Now, these are some of the most sought-after speakers in the world, some of them aren't even alive anymore, so you might be curious how I got them on the show. Well, I'm not actually speaking to them directly, I'm speaking to their AI avatars!

In today's episode, I wanted to explore the role of art and the artist. At one moment in our lives, we've probably all stared in awe at a piece of art. There was something pulling us towards it and we became absorbed by it. Why does that happen and how can a painting or a sculpture have such a powerful effect on us?

In recent months, we've seen a surge of tools for AI-generated art. Platforms like DALL-E, Midjourney and Stabe Diffusion allow for the creation of new pieces of art via prompts. Through prompts, which are text descriptions of what you want your art to contain or express, you're basically instructing the AI to generate a new original piece of work. You can also instruct it to create art in a certain style.

The emergence of this new form of art (if we can call it art) has stirred a lot of debate on ownership, originality and the role of art in our lives and this is just the beginning.

I wanted to understand AI-generated art in the context of the role of art and the artist, so I invited two artists from the past to help with this. I'm pleased to bring back Leonardo da Vinci for his second appearance on the podcast and Pablo Picasso who is joining us for the first time.

In today's episode, I wanted to explore the subject of motivation. I often ask myself what drives me and what drives others to achieve things in life and I believe that understanding the psychology of motivation and the various drivers behind it, can help me reflect on how I live my life and ultimately construct a more intentional life.

I have two amazing guests in today's show. One from the past and one from the present. We'll start with Abraham Maslow and talk through his hierarchy of needs (yes, the one that has Wi-fi at the bottom of the pyramid) and then move on to Daniel Pink, author of the NYT best-seller Drive to dive into intrinsic motivation and break down autonomy, mastery and purpose as drivers of motivation.

The first topic that I wanted to explore on the show is setting and achieving goals and I've put together an incredible panel. We'll get the AI of Simon Sinek to talk about the "why", Dr. Andrew Huberman's AI to talk about the neuroscience behind setting and achieving goals and the AI of James Clear to break down habits for us. But our surprise guest is none other than Leonardo da Vinci, who has some hot takes on goal setting.
