  • Welcome back to an early release of our latest Podcast, Episode 47!

This week we went big and bought in one of our most favourite guests of all time so far, Chelsea TV presenter Zac Djellab for his first (and not last) appearance on the show.

As you can imagine, Zac was full of excellent insights, inside Chelsea stories, and great opinions on our beloved club.

    We covered…

    - The beginning - How Zac got involved in content creation and how he worked his way up to a role working for Chelsea!

    - Who Zac has interviewed and who are his favourites - Including Lukaku, Gilmour, Guehi, Jorginho, Mount, and many more!

    - The inside story about those Champions League after party celebrations.

    - Zac’s favourite moments and favourite players as a Chelsea fan.

    - His views on the current Chelsea team, Thomas Tuchel and what he is like, and current club affairs including reviewing Manchester City and Juventus defeats.

Thanks for tuning in guys, hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did.

PLEASE NOTE - As explained here, we are going to paid subs from tomorrow late morning, so this Podcast will go behind a paywall going forward. • The duo was back this week as Si rejoined Dan on the Podcast after Dan bought in Joe Tweedie and Jai Mcintosh in Si’s absence last week.

This week we had two games and more importantly two wins to chat about and dissect, as well as some pressing issues on form and futures of a number of players.

We hone in on some great form and positives from a handful of players over the last few games, but we also bring up some negatives as well and question some futures of a couple of players.

We also discuss the puzzle that is Thomas Tuchel’s formations in the last couple of days and whether he will stick to the new shape.

We look ahead to a MASSIVE game against Manchester City this Saturday.

Some great debate here in this one, and we also finish up on some contract chatter and some transfer news as well.

Thanks for tuning in guys, we really appreciate it! Please subscribe if you haven’t already!

And for those who prefer to watch as well as listen, we have the video version available here.

  • Welcome back to another episode of The Si & Dan Talk Chelsea Podcast!

A different type of episode this week, with our main man Simon on his well deserved honeymoon! (Congratulations again to Mr and Mrs Phillips) we drafted in SADTC’s newest recruit for a chat, the one and only Jai Mcintosh, alongside a special guest this week, none other than Mr Joe Tweedie!

Dan joined by Jai and Joe took time to catch up and hit numerous elaborative talking points, below are some of the topics we covered:

    * J Tweeds - A popular man; good with the facts and figures, shines a light on his background and affiliation with Chelsea

    * Transfer round up. The signing of Saul, thoughts after his debut? The failed signing of Kounde?

    * The engine room - Kovacic; What a start to the season, is he the first name on team sheet now…

    * The future - Rice, Bellingham, Saul permanent?

    * We seemingly look less secure at the back thus far, with Edou Mendy registering the most saves in the PL this year. Is this part of the new look Chelsea?

    * Contract station - Rudiger, Christensen, Silva, Azpilicueta and talk of his resurgence

    * Romelu Lukaku - Is he now the complete forward? Four goals in as many games, can he continue this form? Clinical is the word to sum him up thus far, should we be worried about the lack of chances up to this point though…

    * Fan Q&A - Focus on Timo Werner’s future at Chelsea

    * THE Famous Quickfire!

Thanks for joining us guys! Simon will be back with us next week, with Jai making another appearance in the near future. As always, please subscribe for our latest updates in your inbox!

  • Sorry guys I didn’t mean to email out the video version earlier, but anyways you’ve got both now!!….

The transfer window is over, so now it was time to reflect, look back on every single deal, and review it all!

To do this, we needed the help of a guest - The Don Claudio D from Twitter, who is a very positive guy on socials growing massively in popularity and deservedly so.

The three lads take us through the summer transfer window and rate it out of 10.

Hope you enjoy this one, it was certainly fun to record!

*Apologies for Simon’s sound ducking out a couple of times, we have no idea why this happens but have a few things to try moving forward now the transfer window has closed and things are quieter.

    Follow Claudio on Twitter here!

  • Welcome back guys to another episode of The Si & Dan Talk Chelsea Podcast!

Si was riding solo this week, due to Dan ‘having a sore throat’ (please all send your sympathy and support). Personally I think we just worked him too hard last week - He had to write one whole article guys, so I think he just needed to rest, bless him.

Anyways, luckily we had a guest so you didn’t just have to listen to me drone on for 45 minutes!!

Former Sky Sports reporter Pete O’Rourke joined me for a transfer show to speak about all the latest noise coming out of Chelsea as we tried to piece together any potential movements this summer.

So, here are the time stamps!

First 12 mins - What Pete does, how he got where he is now, how he sources news, and his time at Sky Sports.

12.01 - Striker pursuit - Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, and Robert Lewandowski.

19.00 - Chelsea working on a number of strikers at the same time. Do they need to sell more (Tammy Abraham for example) before bidding for a striker?

31.10 - Centre back situation - Will Chelsea look to bring in another centre back? What names are being looked at?

33.25 - Mass exodus of Chelsea youth players, will that worry Chelsea?

36.30 - Pete reassures fans on Chelsea’s lack of transfer activity so far.

38.13 - Will Chelsea definitely sign a striker regardless?

  • Welcome back to another episode of The Si & Dan Talk Chelsea Podcast, and this week we bought in a very special guest, Sunday World reporter Kevin Palmer.

Kevin is full of great stories and insights, coming off the back of a long career reporting on football, tennis, and many other sports.

He started writing match day programs for the FA Cup final, he’s sat in on many early Jose Mourinho press conferences, and he’s good friends with Ricky Gervias!

So as you can imagine, we have a varied show for you today, and we also get to some transfer news with Kevin having a good reliable history of breaking a number of big transfer stories over time, including Van Dijk to Liverpool.

So here is what we covered (in this order)…

    * How Kevin started out, how he got into Journalism, and his early days interviewing Mourinho.

    * Ricky Gervais and interviewing his girlfriend Jane!

    * How does he source his transfer and general news?

    * Twitter abuse, trolls, and the obsession with transfer news!

    * What is it like reporting directly from Wimbledon and who he fancies to win it.

    * England in the Euros final - Kevin’s thoughts on the Denmark win and predictions for Sunday!

    * Chelsea transfer news - Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, and Declan Rice.

    * Are Chelsea keeping their transfer moves private, and is this normal?

    * Dan quick fire questions to Kevin!

Thanks for tuning in as always guys as always, we really appreciate it.

  • We partook in a transfer window Q&A session with you guys this week, and we managed to get through pretty much every question (25ish!).

So thank you for everyone who sent us questions, which unsurprisingly were largely based around transfer news.

We tried our best to give you guys the latest information on things that are going on to the very best of our own knowledge.

We began with a quick chat about the Euros, then went through these questions below in this order…

@CFCLex - Off topic I know Dan watches Wimbledon what did he make of Andy's win yesterday?

@RJ_Goodthings - 1) Hypothetically, if Chelsea didn't sign anyone or offload anyone, what chance would you give us of fighting for the PL title? (Knowing Tuchel has an off season to work with). 2) Out of you two, who brings more value to the table?

@seblarsen08 - 1. Big IF, but if we can’t get our top targets (like Haaland/Lukaku/Rice) do you then think we will look for cheaper/alternative options? Or do we settle with current squad? 2. Heard a rumour that Mbappe won’t renew his contract, so is he an option?

@shyamtalks - 1) Which of the returning loanees do you think has/have a good chance of making it to the senior team for the upcoming season?2) And do you guys think this is the make or break season for someone like RLC?

@BigGeezerAlert - Alright lads. 1) Whos more likely to sign this summer, Adama Traore or Tchouameni? And Declan Rice or Erling Haaland? 2. As big Willy Caballero left 1st July, any updates on back up keepers coming in?

@sarab_sahni - If you had to say the likeliest transfer to be done this summer for Chelsea out of the names mentioned for us who would it be and why?

@CarefreeKenny - how confident are you both that rudiger and Christensen will sign new deals, does that happening affect if the club try to buy a CB?

@BrandonStacey88 - If you could pick one player, other than Haaland, to join Chelsea this summer, who would it be? (Has to be realistic)

@Andressveen - Will we se more academy talent coming through next season, and who? Any loans already in motion?

@Germanskimisho - Will Chelsea sign a striker before the start of the new season?Do you think there is a chance of Ramos coming to Chelsea ?

@SouthWPaw - Jan Arge tweeted no contact between Haalands camp and Chelsea but Dan tweeted that discussions are being held. What's true?

@Yourhuman - Is it true that chelsea have had no contacts with Team Haaland as per Jan Fjortoft?

@Qudusolaitan - What is really happening on Haaland? Simple as ABC

@TheScore01 - Thoughts on Jan’s comments on Haaland, what’s really happening there?Likely signings in midfield? How soon will things be done? What’s your favourite summer dessert?

@LukeCow02396065 - Chelsea have been relatively quiet in the market so far. Are we trying to sell players before we get new players in?

@Faceman7 - Do you see Chelsea clearing out the whole list of unwanted players before the window ends?

@MauriceWao - 1.Will Tino Livertmore sign a new contract at Chelsea? 2.Do you think Armando Broja will be given a chance in the first team next season?

@Jon_DC91 - Lots of rumours about strikers coming in, but if we don't sign one, is there a chance Tammy stays or is that bridge burned?Any updates on a backup keeper if Kepa goes on loan?Does RLC still have what it takes to perform at the top level?Who's our top scorer next season?

@CentreCarvahlo6 - It’s extremely unlikely to happen but if you’re Chelsea Football Club, you see Lionel Messi is a free agent, do you offer a 2-3yr contract? Wages will be insane and will definitely break our structure but it’s Lionel Messi, arguably the best player to have ever played

@_CFC_Luke - Who is our 1st signing most likely to be?

@MitchHa79746630 - How much are Chelsea interested in Sergio Ramos?

@HimanshuSonaw14 - Will Adama Traore be our first signing for Chelsea?

Thanks for joining us guys, we will speak to you all again next week when we will have a special transfer-related guest joining us, a good transfer news reporter…. I’ll leave that with you guys to ponder!

For those who prefer to watch as well as listen, we have the video version available here.

  • We were extremely lucky to be joined by former Chelsea player who made over 100 appearances for the club and scored many hugely important goals from midfield, Gavin Peacock!

Gavin was brilliant and full of amazing insights, as expected. Such a humble guy with many great stories to tell.

Of course, we couldn’t get anywhere near all of them in our 60 minute show, but he has just released his autobiography - A Greater Glory - From pitch to pulpit. Grab yourselves a copy right here! You will not be disappointed.

Gavin took us through his Chelsea career from start to finish, look out for the John Terry as a ball boy story, and how Gavin tried to negotiate an extra £50 from Ken Bates, to no avail!

He resides in Canada now, and his journey as well as the journey of his family has been nothing short of incredible.

Personally, we want to see him back on our screens as a pundit on Match of The Day again some day… Maybe, just maybe…

Thanks for tuning in guys, please remember to subscribe, and buy Gavin’s book if you can spare the dollar - It’s very cheap!
