This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Jacob and Esau. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 25:19-34, 26:34-28:10, 32-33. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible animation is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

This is Jacob, who was later called Israel. Jacob was the father of 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Israel. Jacob had a twin brother named Esau. Even when Jacob and Esau were in their mother’s belly, they fought. As the boys grew up, Esau liked to be outside and to hunt while Jacob was quiet and liked to stay home. Their father, Isaac, loved Esau because he liked eating what Esau hunted but Rebekah, their mother loved Jacob.

Esau had a birthright which means he would get special things and privileges because he was the first born. One day Jacob was making a stew and Esau came home so hungry and asked for some. Jacob said he would trade Esau some stew for his birthright. Esau agreed and Jacob was given Esau’s birthright.

Later on, Isaac their father was getting very old and he wanted to bless his son Esau. Isaac’s blessing was very important and Rebekah wanted Jacob to have the blessing instead of Esau. So, Rebekah told Jacob to pretend to be Esau and go to his father for the blessing. Isaac was turning blind so he believed that Jacob was Esau and blessed him. Esau came to his father to get his blessing, but Isaac had already given it to Jacob. All of this made Esau hate his brother Jacob. Esau made plans to kill his brother. Rebekah heard of this and had Isaac send Jacob away to live with her family.

For many years, Jacob lived with his uncle and worked in the field taking care of his flock. He started a family and gained many servants, cattle, donkeys, sheep, and goats. God told Jacob to leave his uncle’s land and go back to the land of his father.

So, Jacob took his family and everything he owned and traveled back home. Jacob knew that his brother would be there though, so he sent messengers ahead and heard that Esau had an army of 400 men with him! Jacob prayed to God and asked for him to rescue him from Esau. Then he sent gifts ahead of him for his brother. That night Jacob was alone in his camp, for he had sent his family and everything he had ahead of him.

A man came and wrestled with him until dawn. The man saw that he wouldn’t win so he touched Jacob’s hip and said, “Let me go!” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me!”

Then the man gave Jacob a new name. He said, “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and men and have won.” The man blessed Jacob. Jacob left that place but he had a limp because of the injury to his hip. Then Jacob looked up and saw his brother Esau coming with his 400 men. Jacob went ahead of his family and bowed to his brother. Esau ran to meet Jacob and hugged him. They both wept. Jacob introduced Esau to his family and gave him a gift even though Esau said he had enough. After everything Jacob and Esau had been through, the brothers made peace with each other. And Jacob went on to be the father of the great nation of Israel.

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of God’s Promise for Abraham. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 13:14-18; 15; 17; 21:1-6. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

    Genesis 13:14-18; 15; 17; 21:1-6

This is Abram. Who will later be known as Abraham. When Abram was in the land called Canaan, God told him to look over the land as far as his eyes could see. God promised that the land would be blessed and that Abram would have many children.

Many years passed and Abram and Sarai were very old and still had no children. God appeared to Abram and said, “Do not be afraid! I am your shield. A son is coming. Look at the heavens and count the stars. Someday you will have as many children as there are stars in the sky.”

Years later, Abram and Sarai still had no children. God appeared to Abram again and told Abram that his name would no longer be Abram but it would be Abraham, which means “Father of many nations.” God also told Abraham that Sarai’s name would be changed to Sarah.
God promised to bless Sarah and told Abraham that she would become pregnant and have a son.

God made a covenant with Abraham and God gave Abraham a way to show that he and his children were part of God’s covenant. Abraham and Sarah did have a son named Isaac. God’s promises came true for Abraham and Sarah. Abraham became the father of many nations and from his child came children and from their children, more children, until Abraham’s descendants were truly more numerous than the stars in the sky, just as the Lord had promised.

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Noah and the Flood. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 6-9:17. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

    Genesis 6-9:17
This is Noah. Noah was a good man who tried to do the right thing. But in the time when Noah lived, he was the only man on earth who was doing the right thing. All the other people on earth were doing evil things and hurting each other. This made God very sad. So God said that he was going to send a flood to the earth that would destroy every living thing on earth because he was sorry he ever made them. But God decided to save Noah and his family!

God told Noah to build a boat and fill it with two of every kind of animal and bird. Noah did just that, and then Noah and his whole family boarded the boat and waited for the flood to come. The rain fell hard for forty days and forty nights! Water covered the whole earth, and the boat floated safely on the surface. Water covered even the highest mountains on earth, but Noah and his family were saved.

God remembered Noah and all the animals on the boat. God sent a wind to blow across the earth and the flood began to go away. After 5 months, the boat came to rest on a mountain top. A few months later, the other mountains could be seen. Forty days later, Noah opened a window and released a raven. The bird flew back and forth until the flood had dried up. He also sent a dove out to see if it could find dry ground. But the dove couldn’t find a place to land because there was still water on the ground. So, the dove returned to the boat. After another 7 days, Noah sent the dove out again. This time it came back with an olive leaf, so Noah knew that the floodwaters were almost gone. A week later, he sent the dove out again and it didn’t come back.

So many months after the flood began, Noah opened the covering of the boat and saw that the ground was drying. He waited two more months and at last, the earth was dry!

Then God said to Noah, “Leave the boat, all of you. Release the animals so they can be fruitful and multiply throughout the earth.” So Noah, his family, and all the animals finally left the boat!

Noah built an altar to the Lord to make a sacrifice to God. God was pleased with Noah’s offering and said to himself that he would never again destroy every living thing on earth. God blessed Noah and his sons and promised them that he would never send another flood. He gave them the rainbow in the sky as a sign of this promise to Noah, his family, and all mankind.

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Noah Builds a Boat. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 6-7:9. This is Noah. Noah was a good man who tried to do the right thing. But in the time when Noah lived, he was the only man on earth who was doing the right thing. So God said that he was going to send a flood to the earth that would destroy every living thing on earth because he was sorry he ever made them. But God decided to save Noah and his family!

God told Noah to build a large boat and told him exactly how to build the boat. Then God told Noah that he would cover the earth with a flood, but that Noah and his family would be safe. God told Noah to fill the boat with a pair of every kind of animal and bird and to bring enough food for his family and the animals.

So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. He filled the boat with a pair of every animal, bird, and small animal that scurries along the ground. Then Noah, his family, and all the animals went into the boat and then they waited for the flood to come.

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Cain and Abel’s Offering. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 4:1-5. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

This is Adam and this is Eve. They were the first man and woman that God created. Adam and Eve had two sons. Their first son was named Cain and their second son was Abel.

When Cain and Abel grew up, Abel became a shepherd while Cain became a farmer. When it was time for the harvest, Cain and Abel both brought gifts to God.

Cain gathered some of the fruit of the ground and gave it to God. God wasn’t pleased with Cain and his gift and this made Cain upset. God asked, “Why are you so angry? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?” God warned Cain about sin. God told Cain to be careful to not let sin control him, but instead to take control of sin.

Abel also gave a gift to God. Abel gave God the best of part of his first-born sheep from his flock. God was very pleased with Abel and his gift because he had given the best of what he had.

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Adam and Eve Sin. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 3. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

This is Adam and this is Eve who were the first people on earth. They lived in the garden of Eden which was a beautiful place that had everything they needed. Adam and Eve took care of the animals and could eat from any of the trees in the garden except for one. This was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and God told them to not eat from this tree.

There were lots of animals in the garden, but the serpent was the most clever of all the wild animals God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

Eve said that they were able to eat from all of the fruit trees except the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden. For God said, “You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.”

“You won’t die!” said the serpent. “God knows that as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to Adam and he ate it too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly realized they weren’t wearing clothes are were embarrassed. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, Adam and Eve heard God walking about in the garden. So they hid from God among the trees. Then God called to Adam, “Where are you?”

Adam said, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

“Who told you that you were naked?” God asked. “Did you eat from the tree I told you not to eat from?”

Adam said, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.”

Then God asked Eve, “What have you done?”

“The serpent tricked me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”

Then God punished the serpent by making it so he would crawl on his belly from then on. He told Eve that she would have great pain in her life. Then God said to Adam that because he listened to Eve and did not obey what God had told him to do, his life would be very difficult. He would have to work hard to get food to eat. God said, “For you were made from dust, and to dust you will return.”

Then God made them clothing from the animals. But God knew that Adam and Eve could no longer live in the garden because of their sin so he sent them away and closed up the garden.

This Bible story for kids tells the story of Adam and Eve. We referenced the following Biblical passages: Genesis 1:26-31. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible animation is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

God made the whole world and everything in it. He made the sun and the stars in the sky. He made the fish in the sea and the animals that walk on land. He made every tree and flower. God also made man. God said, “Let us make man to be like us. They will reign over all the animals and fish of the world.”

So God created man and woman. The first man was named Adam. And the first woman was called Eve. Then God blessed them and gave Adam and Eve jobs to do – they were supposed to take care of all the animals that God had created like the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground. Adam and Eve were also supposed to have children to fill the earth with more people. Then God looked over all he had made and he saw that it was very good!

This Bible story podcast for kids tells the story of Jesus feeding the 5000. We referenced the following Biblical passages: John 6:5-13. Hey-O Kids Curriculum’s primary goal with the Stories of the Bible is to tell the stories from God’s word accurately and in a way that is engaging to children of all ages.

This is Jesus. Who is the son of God and the Savior of the world. While Jesus was on earth, He taught everyone about God’s love. He did many miracles and healed people of their sickness.

A huge crowd kept following Him wherever He went because they saw His miraculous signs as He healed the sick.

A crowd started to gather around Jesus, there were 5,000 men and many more women and children. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”

You see, Jesus was testing Philip, for He already knew what He was going to do.

Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”

Then Andrew spoke up. “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”

Jesus said, “Tell everyone to sit down.”

Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and gave them to the people. Afterward He did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted. After everyone was full, Jesus told His disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.”

So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves and two fish.
