Elise: Make the decision to fail, and fail fast
âThe other advice I would say is, that is super helpful, and it was helpful to me, to my career, is helping my teams at the time, but you can be in the team, make a decision to fail, and fail fast, and being decisive about this.â
Elise: Expect to fail, and give it a shot again
âNot expecting to fail is a little too cocky. Like, â âYeah, I'm going to be alright. I'm going to have it right the first time.â â But it's setting it into the culture that is acceptable, and that is that the recognition of the failure is almost as important as the failure itself, it's the key now, you can beat your head against the wall so many times, and not really realize it hurts you, you should feel it the first time and give it a second shot, but don't give it 10 shotsâŠâ

âWhen you really want to excel on something, the first thing is you never do it alone. I didn't become the singer that I am on my own. Yes, I was born with the gift. I didn't cultivate the gift on my own, I had to take 1000s of hours of lessons.â

Hartmut - The importance of user experience:
âI think the user experience is becoming more and more important, not just on smartphones and everything, but everybody expects it. So I think this is becoming a bigger, bigger part of developing and designing great solutions.â
Hartmut - Final thoughts for the listeners:
âIndividuals, focus on what you can do well, and where you're fun and try to build it and evolve it. So don't sit on it and wait. But go there where you're good.â

Andrew: âThat's something that we really strive for, we think is a differentiator, because when you come to our company, and you say, Hey, I've got a technical problem. We don't really care what language it is, because we think we can help almost anyone that's out there.â
Andrew: âWhen I say humility is imperative for leaders, I absolutely mean it, every leader needs to look at whatever your relative level of humility or arrogance is, you need to look at that and walk in the direction or maybe sometimes run in the direction of humility.â
Andrew: âIf you can't continue to learn and take in new information if you think you've got it all figured out, you're the one who's going to be disrupted.â

Kylie: âI've noticed with the pandemic and everyone moving to this virtual setting, even my team has benefited from having a completely remote team. So no longer are we limited to sourcing talent from the New York City area. Instead, we have the entire United States, we have all UK and Europe.â
Kylie: âI think groupthink can be sort of a dangerous thing to get into, especially in tech, because when you have teams of people working on a project and a data product together, the data product is the combination of all their minds together, right?â
Kylie: âMy like advice to any data scientist is, to determine your code of ethics and work for a company that matches those. Yeah, yeah. And do your work that aligns with that.â

Zap: âI think working at the Nashville entrepreneurs center, I managed membership and did a lot of events. Craig: âThe talent pool here is insane. I mean, every time ultimately being here for several months now, every time that we have a new hire, more often than not, they just happen to have come from Nashville.â
Zap: âI think the biggest thing is desire to learn. I think that's for any career in technology, because the industry is moving so much, so quickly. There's always new technologies. There's always something new to learn.â
