All because much like Cinderella. They just needed a fairy runmother and a “pair of shoes” to show them they had all the magic inside to make their wishes come true.

Today we are going to talk about her career change, how she found her mission in life and how a pair of running shoes can change your life.

She went through a major transformation at the age of 45, switching her 25-year career in hospitality to follow her passion and purpose to help others become the best version of themselves.

Today, we are going to talk about her career change and what we need to do to be the best version of ourselves.

Find your inspiration in three quotes:

Career Change My identity was so wrapped up in my corporate facade and being in hospitality and events. It's what I built on for 20 years, 25 years of my life. A big challenge for me was identity and switching that corporate mindset.
I had a lot of imposter syndrome. Can I do this? Will people respect me? Do I know enough about what they're asking me about?Becoming the Best Version of Ourselves We've all got room for improvement. None of us are at the very top of our game. Less than 1 percent of us are. Becoming the best version of yourself means celebrating who you are by growing into who you're meant to be.Finding Your Life Purpose/Getting clarity A fun thing to do is to ask your friends what are the top three things that they think when they think of you, what comes to mind. That can be so enlightening.
I actually did that about a year ago as part of a marketing exercise when I was going through a rebrand. And the things that people said back to me, some of them, I understood. And some of them, I was just like, wow, I'm really blown away by how people see me. So that's a really fun way to get that outside perspective.

"There wasn't a framework for the kind of medicine that I wanted to practice. So I had to create the framework myself, and it took a lot of failures and a lot of bumps in the road and a lot of obstacles, but I sort of discovered and created what worked for me in my career"."Remapping our minds is simply a process of empowering ourselves by taking our old programming, the programming that we inherited, the things that we do, the things we walk around saying to ourselves in our head.""When we begin to look at what are the source of our unconscious thoughts and beliefs..then we can begin to dissolve them, and get rid of them. We have the power to form new beliefs consciously that then can go into the unconscious and help us to perform better".

  • Our guest is Ryan Gonsalves, former professional footballer, turned global banker, and now CEO & entrepreneur. Together we are going to discuss the challenges faced by sports people at the end of their careers, and how to overcome them to make a successful career transition.

    Find inspiration in three quotes:

When I was about 13 years old, I stopped playing with my older brother's team and moved to my own age group, and at that time. Suddenly I became faster, stronger and I found I was really good at it, and so it was probably from around that age that I started to find the love for the game of football and want to become a professional player. I could say that my transition was wonderful and seamless, from sport and to coaching and studying through into the corporate world and to where I am today. But instead it was full of challenges and still, to this day, there are challenges. For me, probably the biggest ones that really came through was this sort of a lack of confidence or sense of really imposter syndrome, so feeling like, hey, I don't know if I really belong here, I don't know if I've got the skills to actually do that. To my younger self I would probably say be brave enough to find a mentor who sees the world bigger than you do, who sees it, who knows what the opportunities are out there, who perhaps knows some of the pitfalls are, and who is still enabling you to experience and learn.
