  • Welcome to episode #188 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we have concluded our time with the Black Ops 6 beta, and are back on MWIII, as season 5 draws to a close and we are in the final season of the game. We haven’t given up on the game, and intend to hit the 1250 max level to put a stamp of finality on MWIII before our end game review. With season 6, there are lots of exciting collabs to look forward to, and also some questionable map “additions” for the Halloween theme this season is based around. We cover each part of the season 6 roadmap, and compare how it stacks up to previous seasons. Finally, we end with some updates regarding the CDL, with some potential big shake ups that could happen if the rumors prove true.

Are you going to be playing season 6? If so, what do you think about the new maps that we are getting, and how do they compare to what we have gotten in previous seasons? Will you be hitting max level, or are you done with COD until Black Ops 6? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #187 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we discuss our experience with the open beta, a full week after our first impressions from the early access beta. We get to see some new additions with a new level cap with more to unlock, new maps, modes, and some tweaks made along the way. We compare from what we played during week 1, and share what we think are the biggest takeaways from it. We go over some important changes we think may impact the future of the game and potentially the CDL, as well as some parts of the game we wonder what the future will look like. We got a glimpse at the new face off and gunfight modes, and how these may be where the future of the casual fanbase will gravitate towards, as some say this is what Call of Duty is moving towards; quick games on small maps for high xp. We discuss this point and if we think COD is moving this way.

What were your thoughts on the 2nd week of the beta? If you did not play the first week, give us your first impressions on the game! What do you think of the new face off and gunfight modes/maps? What do you think about the take discussed on the future of the casual fanbase in COD? Do you think it is moving in this direction or not? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #186 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we unpack everything from the early access beta food Black Ops 6. It is finally here, and we have lots to unpack on every aspect of the game. From the maps to the modes, guns and omnimovement, we share our thoughts on each of these, and give the pros and cons to both that we have experienced so far. Lots of people have their complaints, and many have praised the game so far, but we need to understand that this is only a beta. More than likely lots will change from the early access to the open beta, and thus at launch.

What are your impressions of the game so far after a week of changes? Are there still issues you’re seeing that worry you, or do you think most will be fixed? What do you believe are the strongest points of the game so far, and the weakest? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #185 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we are getting ready for the Black Ops 6 early access beta! The anticipation for this game has been at an all time high, and in recent years, this may be the most hyped COD we have seen. We have Call of Duty Next doing a showcase as well, so we hope to see more on what is coming for that event, as well as get some insight into warzone, zombies, and campaign. We share our thoughts on what we expect from the beta. We have ideas as to what will be in this beta, and we break down each point, as well as making sure everyone understands this is only a beta! We hope it continues to get even better, but be sure to not rush to judgment!

What did you think of the beta overall? Were there things you did not expect? Does it feel like every other COD to you, or does this year feel different? What were some of your favorite and least favorite parts? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #184 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, the EWC has come to an end, and we have our first World Cup Champion in Call of Duty! We break down each day of the event, the matches, and ultimately how the event came to a conclusion. There were some big upsets amongst the top 4 teams from CDL Champs, as well as some teams that made huge improvements to their game. We discuss how these moments may impact the next CDL season, with some potential roster changes coming up. Along with this, we share the news of the Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer mod being shut down by Activision. This came as a surprise to many, but unfortunately it is not unexpected from Activision’s track history with mods to their games. We share our thoughts on this, and the possibility of any mods in the future.

What did you think of the EWC event? Is there anything the CDL should learn from this event, and what do you think EWC can improve upon? Did you plan to play the H2M mod for Mw2? Do you think Activision should change the decision or not? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

In this episode, we have lots of news to unpack regarding Black Ops 6 zombies, with major details as to what we will see at launch, including two maps, weapons, abilities, and more. We have some big changes coming to zombies for this year, and we are very excited to see how these changes impact the future of zombies. Along with this, there has been a mod created that is a full remaster of Modern Warfare 2, as well as adding loads of maps from Call of Duty 4, original killstreaks, and overall quality of life changes. We break this down as well, and share our thoughts on how we think this remaster will fare as time goes on.

What do you think of Black Ops 6 zombies from what we have seen? Are you happy with what they have kept and what they are removing? Do you think this is a step in the right direction for zombies or not? Also, will you be playing the Modern Warfare 2 Remaster when it launches, or will you be skipping out on it? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

We have leaks every year from Call of Duty, however this one was extensive, as we got multiple maps confirmed, a first hand look at omni-movement, as well as a variety of weapons confirmed. We break down everything that we saw and give our thoughts on each main point, as well as open some discussions if the steps Treyarch is taking will change COD forever, or simply be a one-off. We share our thoughts on this discussion, as well as what we hope to see from Black Ops 6 before we get the beta which is at the end of this month. What did you think of the Black Ops 6 leaks? Did anything stand out to you? Is this a COD that old fans should make a return for, or is it going to be more of the same? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! • Welcome to episode #181 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, there is a lot to cover. Firstly, we share our initial thoughts on season 5 of MWIII, focusing on the maps and overall direction with the seasons, as we only have one more until we get Black Ops 6. With this new season, there were some issues regarding the Ricochet anti-cheat, and an influx of hackers came with it. We talk about the potential of this happening again, as well as the possibility that the Xbox Game Pass could have had something to do with it, with MWIII being free to play. Finally, we talk about the upcoming EWC, as teams have officially locked their rosters, and we have seen some interesting moves with the lower teams, wondering if they will stick with this team for the 2025 CDL season or not.

What are your thoughts on season 5 so far? Is there anything missing for it that you thought should have been in it? Have you come across hackers in Warzone or Multiplayer? If so, what do you think of our ideas for dealing with hacking in COD? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #179 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we are coming to the end of season 4, as well as the last tournament for the CDL, with COD Champs being just around the corner from the time of recording, and then we go into the off-season, and players/teams will more than likely find new homes for next year. We got announcements from the Breach regarding their roster, and questions are arising as to who will be on the team next year, and how they can work on improving from this year. Along with this, we have season 4 coming to an end in MWIII, and season 5 on the horizon. We share some leaks and announcements so far, and look forward to its release on July 24th. Finally, we share our thoughts on the cheating that occurred in the World Series of Warzone, and how no matter what happens, we continue to see hacking make its way into big tournaments.

What are your predictions for the off-season with the Breach? What’s an ideal roster you wish we could have going into Black Ops 6? Are you going to be playing season 5, or are you done after watching COD Champs? What should be the penalty for the hacker at the WSOW? • Welcome to episode #170 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we have some rumors regarding season 4 of MWIII, and some of the new additions are things we have been asking for for awhile now, and hopefully the rumors become true when we see the full roadmap released. Along with this, some news and updates have come out about the content surrounding Gulf War, and info saying that we may be playing this game sooner than we thought! We share some thoughts on the importance of getting this early access, and how we need to learn these new games and mechanics to adapt from year to year…something most players hate having to do. We end with some CDL news surrounding the Boston Breach, and our hopes for a run at Major III and what we need to do to stay in the run for champs and future wins.

What are your thoughts on some of the leaks in season 4? Is there anything that is surprising you, or were you expecting more? What do you think of the rumors surrounding Gulf War content, and do you think this will be a big change in the way COD is played, or will it be the same as MWIII? Finally, have you been following the CDL this season? If so, did you predict the correct team to win Major III? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

  • Welcome to episode #169 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we cover our thoughts on season 3 reloaded, mainly being the new map Grime that has been added, and get into how and why Sledgehammer has been successful this year when it comes to new maps and content overall. Despite this, we do get into the discussion of comparing this game to other FPS games, and a main issue for us we hope to see resolved with Gulf War: too much weapon customization. We share our thoughts on this, and why we think iit is a serious problem for casuals and serious players, and what they should do instead. We also talk about some CDL and Boston Breach news, and get into what the future is looking like for the squad.

What are your thoughts on season 3 reloaded so far? Are you a fan of the new maps, and do you agree with us on our opinion about Sledgehammer as a whole? What do you think about the topic surrounding weapon customization? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.
