Mirror judgments have come up on the podcast before, but Iâm diving deeper in todayâs episode. A mirror judgment is a judgment that you have about another person that you also have of yourself. So, you judge a person for something and then subconsciously, youâre judging yourself for it at the same time.

When youâre making a decision, youâre confronted with the options available to you. You make a choice, and as time unfolds, you see the consequences of your decisions. However, what I often see people doing is picking apart their decisions before they make them, looking for all the potential issues that could arise from their choice. In doing this, they create an alternate reality where the option that they didnât choose would have led to better outcomes. This is the Sliding Doors Fallacy at work.
