For our opening move of 2024, we're moving our new episode to T2 (Tuesday the 2nd). That's right, we're covering a game that is chess-adjacent! Capstone Games' new Match of the Century is an entry in their 2-player card-driven historical games, this time dealing with the 1972 World Championship chess match between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky. It's a story full of fascinating tidbits of real occurrences, but does it make for the inspiration of a good game? Hit play to find out!

Cheers! Andrew and Pete cover the recent hot two-player title Beer & Bread from Scott Almes and Capstone Games. Will this crop-growing, resource-storing romp show Andrew just how exciting agriculture can be in board games? Or will Andrew's eyes cross when he harvests his 4th handful of wheat? Plus, they talk everything beer with Chris Burke, an owner of Eight & Sand Beer Co., located in Woodbury, New Jersey!

This one's fairly patriotic, folks. And I mean real pride in our nation, the story of overcoming our shortcomings to become a more tolerant people. Not that "America is #1" crud. We talk about Votes For Women, the newest historical game from Fort Circle Games, which deals with the passing of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote in the United States, way too long after our nation came into existence. And we also discuss this game, this history, other historical games and more with Liz Davidson, the host of Beyond Solitaire!
