  • Hey Folks! We’re back with another fiction podcast we’d like to share with you! Don’t worry we’re hard at work making new episodes of The Subjective Truth and our new upcoming Horror Anthology Someone Just Like You. They’ll be more news on all that coming later in 2024. And potentially more episodes of Two Flat Earthers on the horizon.
But today we’re excited to bring you the pilot episode of “Ask Your Father.” It’s a new series by written by Sean Williams, the writer behind the indie darling “Almelem” and the main character in “Give Me Away”.
Feed Swaps like these are the number 1 way indie fiction podcasts are able to grow their audience. So when our friends put out a new show we like to help them. We aren’t getting paid to do this. We genuinely just want to connect good shows to good listeners like yourself.
    SERIES DESCRIPTION:
Ask Your Father asks the question: What does it mean to be a family? What does it mean to be a person in that family, even if you aren’t a human? Lem, a human, and Mikey, an A.I., are piloting the first ever faster than light speed ship when they find themselves twice as far as they meant to go, and without any fuel for a return flight. The two of them communicate with Earth using tiny faster-than-light-speed drives, which carry information for Mikey and questions for Lem from his kids. As they work together to solve the problem, they forge a friendship that could change the course of human history, all while trying to answer the question “how did this happen?” And more importantly... “Why?”
The show explores concepts of human rights, the ownership of our labor, the limits we put on morality and the fight for personhood - all in the form of a sci-fi thriller.
After you listen to the pilot of Ask Your Father be sure to subscribe to their main feed and listen to the rest of Season 1.
    IN THIS EPISODE:
Lem and Mikey begin the first Faster Than Light Speed trip in the wrong place and without enough fuel to get back. Lem's husband and sister aren't getting any answers from NASA - mostly because they have no answers themselves. Everyone begins to settle in this new strange routine, which includes tiny hard-drives filled with information and audio letters from home.

  • Feed Drop!
Today we're featuring our friends Podcube! What is PodCube?
Beta-testers have described it as "a multiverse workplace comedy" and "a weirdly grounded look into the chaos of mainstream marketing and working under capitalist restrictions"
Some reported that when operating a motorized vehicle, they have been forced to stop because they are "laughing too hard"
One user went so far as to say that PodCube "marks a meaningful improvement in the American sketch comedy scene." (NOTE: Our team believes this tester is unaware that our transmissions are in fact from real people in real places.)
