Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is the annual charity campaign, jointly organized by the South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong. Over the years, OSC donors have raised over HK$110 million in funds and encouraged Hongkongers to share their good fortune with the needy during the winter festive season.
Apart from the thirteen Hong Kong charities that will benefit from this year's campaign, OSC will donate part of the funds raised to assist in a reconstruction programme in Sichuan, the 'SCMP Sichuan Reconstruction Fund'.

The campaign sees to raise funds and awareness for Hong Kong charities over the winter holiday season.With the local economy still trying to shake off the effects of last year’s downturn, our support this Christmas is more important than ever. Apart from our special recording on opening and closing ceremony, you'll also hear interviews with 16 beneficiaries.
