Today Greg helps his mainly female client base overcome the same challenges he had in life by inspiring them by helping them learn that how you do something is how you do everything
are you ready?

What if the cards are stacked against you?
because life is challenging
and more often than not the odds are against us
So when it does get tough how do you manage those tricky times?
Back when I played there would be times that I would thrive against adveristy
and other times when I would find it difficult
the biggest difference in these scenarios was that internal belief
Which is something I have dug deep on since i've finished playing
come and join me today as I share a story from a memorable game later on in my career
and lets take you internally to help you thrive when the cards are stacked against you

Inside the mind of the one that goes inside the athlete’s mind
I used to think sports psychology was woowoo
I tried it once for a minute and wrote it off
Yet there is a reason why many professional sports now have their own highly skilled staff looking after their players mental well being
Because without it then you will never see a peak physical performance
And on today’s episode of Always Another Game Podcast I have the pleasure of talking to Manchester Storm Ice Hockey Club’s Well Being Consultant Liz Stewart
I broke a few of my own rules here today because Liz didn’t grow up with a sporting story
Yet she is involved in one of my core values of this podcast and that is supporting and looking after the well being on not just Ice Hockey Players but athletes
We discuss today the importance of the players having someone they trust they can talk to
And how priceless it is for a coach and organisation to have a person involved in your team getting the best out of your players
If you have every been interested in how your mental performance hugely affects your physical
Then you’re going to want to glide on over to hear what Liz has to say

Who is in your corner?
Do you know?
You know those people that would go to war for you and expect nothing in return
And their belief in you drives you forward into things you once though was impossible
Because on today’s Shaun Short episode we discuss the influence that certain people have in our lives
As many times an athlete has mentioned a Coach or Sensi that has made an incredible impact on their career and life
And I felt it would be great to dig a little deeper into this topic
Because sometimes you may not even know you had someone until you lost them
Don’t panic I’m not going to take up too much of your time with the Shaun Short episodes so you can fit one in today
I can’t wait to see you over there

“Injuries have shaped how I approach my career today”
These are the exact words of England Hockey Strength and Conditioning Coach and former Professional Ice Hockey player Rupert Quiney
From being inspired by his dad to play
Rupert has to over come all odds to make it pro
Growing up around a club that at the time was not playing at the highest level would seem too far fetched for a young athlete to stand out
Yet this didn’t deter Rupert
But due to a series of serious injuries he was forced to re think about what direction his career was going in
And now he gets to help young athletes avoid going through the pain and struggle he did
Which you can feel the passion he has for doing this in the episode today
Lets glide on over with me to listen to this one

I’ve never been a numbers guy…
The thought of any pressurised maths sends me into a bigger freeze state than Walt Disney
And many will argue and say that I need to get a handle on this
But in a team sport it doesn't matter if one player has scored 5 goals if you lose 8-5
You need the players who block shots, support you when you're down and bring the energy for the whole team just by how they show up
You see there are so many other ways to thrive away from numbers
Whether that is in your parenting
Personal Development
And
Business
And I share my thoughts on this powerful Shaun Short episode on the Always Another Game Podcast today
Short and Sweet just like me…

Run BROOKE Run…
What an entry back into the podcasting world getting to interview the real life Australian Forest Gump

Then turning to drink at 13 years old as it was her only form of control
All the way to a life changing truck crash
And that isn’t even half of what this episode goes into
Because now Brooke is seeking out a much larger challenge
Which she will be doing in 2025

NEW NEW NEW
New Intro Tune
New Guest Episode
New Energy
Because due to circumstances out of my control I needed to switch up my podcast tune
And safe to say Michael Coltham has done an incredible job
And I’d love to hear your thoughts…
Not only that I get to debut the track with my latest athlete all the way from Colorado Lida Johnson
Lida is a seasoned athlete who wants to show the world that ‘I can’t’ doesn’t exist
And that age is just an excuse holding you back from truly living
Because she took on her first Ironman Challenge at the tender age of 40
And she didn’t stop there
Lets tune in to learn more about her journey and work while the iron is hot

“I choose to strangle people and get beaten up…”
You may assume my latest podcast guest is cold blooded killer
And you’d be wrong
You’d even be shocked if you knew her more too
Because this easy-going straight shooter is apparently not one to be messed with
Because on today’s episode of Always Another Game I had the pleasure in going inside the mind of New Zealand’s Ju Jitsu star Bailey Walters
We talk about the culture differences around sport between our two countries and what makes the Kiwi’s so successful
And how Bailey truly believes “ I wouldn’t be who I am today without sport”
If you’re feeling brave enough to miss one then that one is on you
But for the rest of you smart people lets flip those headphones on and take a listen
See you there

There is no denying that Nick Rothwell's life is like something out of the movies
Starting out with Life in Canada playing the holy grail of sport gave him the opportunity to move to the UK
Taking fake it till you make it to the next level he snapped up a role at Sky Sports News
Which came with it a celebrity lifestyle and Nick wasn't short of attention and a party to attend
And even though he agreed it was fun at the time it brought up a darker side of his childhood and found himself on the slippery slope of alcoholism
Nick sit downs with us today to share his story of how he has unlearned many parts of his life to be in a position to provide a safe place for others who are challenged with alcohol and who may be disconnected in life
Slap shot this episode on and glide on over to tune in

American Football - Being injured is a positive
Controversial hey?
Yet sometimes when we’re forced to slow down we see things a lot differently
I remember my first serious injury and on my return I was fitter and stronger than before I got hurt because I was taught to see exercise from a different angle
And my latest guest on the Always Another Game Podcast shares a similar story
Sean Williams life has travelled in many areas yet his business thrives today not only through his sporting journey but the passion he found while injured
He is taking leaps to help support athletes reach their dreams to which once felt like it was impossible and I can’t wait for you to hear his journey today
I’m throwing you a Hail Mary with this one
So lets rush on over

This isn’t about England… But watching the first two games got me thinking We have the squad to go out and win games But it feels like we’re playing not to lose And It reminded me of an Ambitious Business Leader I worked with Who thrived in Business Yet was struggling with their health and knew there was something more to be done in this area After a few weeks together I noticed something ground breaking that changed our whole perspective on the process It's also a key reason why certain sport teams are successful And this is what I’m covering in today’s Shaun Short Episode of Always Another Game We discuss different drivers in our lives whether that be Optimistic or Cautious And whether it's better to play to win or to avoid losing All of these decisions can be the difference between success and failure Lets kick off this episode by clicking to tune in See you there Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/thebehaviourchangecoach/ Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaK2B2-yhQvAN9UN6d7Ikvw Website - www.thebehaviourchangecoach.co.uk Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/abbynoise/firestorm

Major League Baseball Star and the Power of Self Belief…
That is who and what today’s episode on Always Another Game is all about
Because I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down and chatting with current Minnesota Twins Pitcher Jay Jackson
And you might be sitting there thinking ‘ah he’s so lucky’
But he didn’t take the easy route to the MLB
Through playing in the minors and stints in Japan
Jay’s resilience and belief paid off and he gets to tell you all about how he didn’t quit and was able to persevere on today’s episode
We’re about to knock this episode out of the park
It’s a real Home Run

What is it really all about?
With sport comes a huge desire to win
that many take on the 'whatever it takes approach
even at a young age
But surely there is more to it than just winning?
Sure winning is important and in my opinion it is a key element of sport
But surely their is a bigger picture of creating upstanding citizens who have used sport as a pathway to live the life they desire
rather than seeing their life finish on the day they play their last ever game
Come and sit down with me as a share what sports has meant to me and how I see it now in the eyes of an athletes parent

Suicide Prevention isn't an easy topic to bring up let alone talk about it
But for any of the regular listeners you know there are two key reasons why Always Another Game was born
One was to show you how skills can be transferred from sport into your life away from the game
The Second is why we're here today and that is we have lost too many great people in sport who have taken their own lives
My guest today is the founder and CEO of R;pple Alice Hendy MBE
She has an eye opening story and product that more people need to hear about as she bravely shares it with you today on this episode
If you care for yours or anybodies well being you will want to know about what R;pple is and how the work they're doing to save lives
Lets open our eyes and ears right now
You just never know when you'll need this information
