Comedy writers Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris talk to people who make comedy about something funny that they love. Guests pick something that makes them laugh. A book, a film, a tv show, a comic, a radio show, anything. Maybe we find out something about how comedy works, or we just giggle until we're finished. Both approaches are valid.

My goal right from the beginning was that I wanted it to be a podcast that, when it stopped, you didn’t feel worse,” says Cariad Lloyd, host of Griefcast, a weekly interview podcast where media personalities share stories about loved ones they've lost. “We’re all in this club that no one asked to join, and it’s really helpful when you realize there’s other people in the club. Part of grief is feeling quite isolated, so when you realize, ‘Oh, it's not just me,’ It does help.” In each episode, Lloyd makes space for natural, unhurried conversations for her guests to talk about death where, in her words, “Nobody’s going to change the subject.”
In 2016, the British actor, comedian, and writer came up with the idea of starting the show when she realized a lot of her comedian friends were doing podcasts. It coincided with her talking about her dad publicly, who passed away from pancreatic cancer when she was 15. “I’d kept it this hidden thing,” she says. "So once I started the podcast, and once people knew, people wanted to talk to me about it. It became this place where I could finally have those conversations I yearned to have.”
The multiple award-winning podcast—which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary and launched its eighth season—has evolved from Lloyd talking to her comedian friends in the UK to inviting a broader range of guests including actors, writers, and producers, allowing her to focus on more specific types of grief. This approach has been especially helpful for her listeners during the global COVID-19 pandemic, steering the show to become a salve during a time when grief has become a more prevalent topic. “I feel really glad that, when the pandemic hit, there was a bank of episodes for people to scroll through— because I feel that's been quite helpful in some ways,” she says. “When you lose someone, you often want the world to stop, and it's enraging that it doesn’t. And the world did stop. It's part of the important process of grief, that the world carries on. And that's really helpful because it reminds you that, ‘You know what? I need to carry on.’

New additions to the book with the famous words "Don't Panic" on the cover.
Smart and funny, fusing real-world observation with a writing style Douglas Adams fans have sorely missed.
With each topic, the panel of authors and performers present an essay in the style of a Hitchhiker's Guide entry, which is then discussed in a format that fans of BBC radio comedy know well, but with a 21st century twist.
Whether you've only read the first book, seen the film, or are completely new to the world of Arthur Dent and his friends, Beware of the Leopard will make you chuckle, and if you're a really cool frood, you'll love the team's attention to detail.
And if you're new our podcast, check out our previous season in which the team discussed every known thing in Douglas Adams' sprawling universe (or the Whole Sort of General Mishmash, as it's known).

Non-stuffy book chat and funny one-star reviews. We’re a book podcast for people who like reading but don't always feel qualified to talk about it. Maybe you went to state school or haven’t read any of the greats but still want to talk about books in a normal way. Every fortnight, Curtis Nice and Hajar J. Woodland read a novel and discuss it with some moderate cursing and chuckling at one-star reviews. We've taken a tiny break because the world got busy, but catch up on books you haven't read and episodes you haven't listened to and we will be back BIGGER AND BETTER by November!

Order Up! is a podcast hosted, produced, and created by Matthew Ardill, Cari Haim, Mary Kennedy, and Kelly Zemnickis – four friends who love to talk food. But as much as they love food, they do have some questions.
Each episode of the podcast will include special guests and fun questions like, "What's a dish that brings you back to childhood?" but also feature one main question per season. For the first six episodes, they will try to figure out "Is a Hamburger a Sandwich?" with future seasons investigating: "Is Cereal Soup?", "Are Hotdogs Sandwiches?", and "What's Better: Pancakes or Waffles?" -
