Found in Translation’ opens a window into how organization and management theory is used in practice. In these episodes, we talk to a broad range of stakeholders – including managers, consultants, journalists, and scholars – about the way that organization and management theory affects (their) practice. We dig into what theory means when used in an organizational context. We aim to help our listeners gain a better understanding of how organization and management theory achieves impact and how academia and practice interact. Found in Translation is developed, hosted and moderated by Ph.D. Fellow Malia Carvalho with guidance from Eva Boxenbaum, Renate Meyer, and Pedro Monteiro. The podcast is produced by CBS Teaching & Learning for the TITAN research project: Turning Theory into Action. TITAN is funded by the Velux Foundation and hosted at the Department of Organization - also called IOA - at Copenhagen Business School.

Diversity, Equality, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging… these are all words we hear at work and in public debates. Let’s call this ‘D.E.I’ for short.
Workplaces need advice to do better in this domain, and this demand is answered by people inside organizations, but also by associations and companies who offer expertise and advice about it. We could even say that today there is a ‘market for DEI’.
But: What does it mean if values and morals around DEI are, in a way, ‘for sale’? What do you do when what you believe in clashes with what the customer wants?
What is it like to do a job in which you are facing resistance to your purpose and values or morals both on and off the clock? Who are the DEI consultants in Denmark? And what’s the future of this market and of DEI in the workplace?
In each episode, you will meet interesting guests who will shed a different light on the research together with the researcher in the studio.
About the research
The researchers have been investigating the market for DEI consultants in Denmark. This research project has generated valuable insights into the Danish market and the practices of DEI consultants. The researchers have been exploring the market's particularities, as many providers of expertise in this area are driven by strong values and a personal commitment to tackling the grand challenges of inequality and discrimination. The findings have culminated in a project report and this podcast series.
The researchers are: Associate Professor Florence Villesèche
Postdoc Caroline Demeyère PhD Fellow Flora Antoniazzi
This podcast has been produced with Copenhagen Business School and supported by the Carlsberg Foundation.
Research project: “Denmark's DEI Consulting Landscape: Where Ethical Values Meet Market Realities.”
The editorial staff consisted of producer and host Trine Askholm and co-producer Britta Ravn.

Danish culture can be pretty confusing, especially if you are not from Denmark.
This podcast is on a mission to resolve cultural confusion in the country, and help anyone understand how people in this unique country think and behave.
Co-hosts Sam Floy (British podcaster, "The Outsider") and Josefine Volqvartz (Danish TV journalist, "The Insider") speak to experts and members of the public to understand and explain why something so normal in Danish culture is confusing to outsiders.
Rather than simply point fun, or say something like "Danes have an ironic sense of humour" we go deep, by speaking to experts to explain why.
Importantly, this show is as much for Danes as it is non-Danes.
What The Denmark is an educational, entertaining and inclusive show where we take a curious look at things that seem normal in Denmark, and get to the bottom of why.
The show is aimed at everyone with a connection to Denmark, and people around the world looking to learn more about the happiest country in the world.
If you've ever felt that you want to understand more about Denmark and Danish culture, then this is the podcast for you!
