This month Scott & the Doc talk about the January Sustainability Meetup happening today.
This event is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals passionate about innovation and sustainability. Dr. Missy Stults, the Sustainability and Innovations Director for the City of Ann Arbor, will be our special guest. She will provide Ann Arbor’s Sustainable Energy Utility Update.
The meetup will be held at BrightWorks Coworking, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this chance to be part of the sustainability movement! Thanks to Dunrie Greiling and William Crane for organizing.
Sponsored by the Green Business Challenge and Ann Arbor SPARK.
BrightWorks Coworking is located at 3027 Miller RoadYou probably missed that, so maybe try Sustainability Forums: Natural Features and Me – Promoting and Protecting Nature in the City Thursday, January 30, 2025, 6 – 7:30pm
Finding ways to connect with nature in an urban landscape can be challenging. Luckily, we have many amazing individuals in the Ann Arbor community who are working to make this task much easier. Please join us at the downtown branch of the Ann Arbor District Library the first session of the 2025 Sustainability Forums series and hear directly from the people who are expanding Ann Arbor's urban tree canopy, creating beautiful rain gardens to manage storm water and reduce pollution, and establishing native plant gardens to support our local pollinators—and learn how you can be a part of these initiatives as well!

Cotton is a gorgeous little girl who is learning to gain confidence! While she’s wary of new people at first, once she comes out of her shell Cotton loves to lay on laps and purr, play with wand toys and eagerly watch everything you’re doing. Secret tip to becoming Cotton’s best friend: offer her a bowl of chunky food with gravy will! Before long she’ll come trotting over to you when you call. If you’ve got a home without other cats, and the patience to let Cotton slowly learn to be brave, she’d love to meet you!
Cotton is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email [email protected] or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Gizmo and Munchkin are searching for their adopter together!
These two are both 10.5 years old, are super affectionate, love being brushed and cuddling with you on the couch. Though they spend most of the time sleeping, Gizmo is always up for chasing a wand toy! Munchkin will occasionally bat at toys, but prefers to watch his sister play.
They’re a little shy, but so sweet with people they know. They follow their foster around the house, politely tapping with a paw when they want attention. They’re perfect about using their litter boxes and scratching pads, and rarely meow. They’d be perfect for someone looking for quiet, snuggly companions, without young children around!
