A few years ago, I was suddenly thrown into a whole new world of uncertainty when I met Adam. First came a year-long deployment, then came my first permanent change-of-station (PCS) move. I wanted to contribute to the family income, but soon realized sacrifices to being a military spouse extended well beyond the loneliness of a deployment. By not working, I felt this huge loss of independence and like many military spouses, I turned to e-commerce. I came up with an idea to make 'releasable' baby headbands because all the baby headbands we found were one piece of fabric and inevitable fell down around our baby's neck. I searched for a āreleasableā or ābreakawayā headbands but could not find anything, so I thought āIāll make the āreleasableā headbands myselfā and thought I was solving a problem and on my way to a small entrepreneurial success.
However, opportunity turned into frustration at how over-saturated other marketplaces had become. Adam saw my disappointment and said, āItās too bad you canāt highlight the fact that you are a military spouse, I bet people would want to buy from you.ā That was it. That was our āEurekaā moment. We felt compelled to create a dedicated marketplace for the military community to sell their products to the public.
The best part of POMP USA is the ability to build it in our vision. Though we never pursued the āreleasableā headband, the journey that began with one idea has opened up so many additional opportunities. SEAL 1, LLCās managing director, Dwight Settle served 20 years as a Navy Seal working in the most extreme environments. As the (AW-automatic weapons) M-60 gunner in his platoon the only way to truly clean the weapon was using dry cleaning solvent. This became no longer available due to how toxic it was to the user and the environment. He remembers his fingers and hands being dry and cracked after every cleaning. The switch was made to Break Free CLP but it just wasn'tā as effective.
For the M-60 and any of the weapons the SEALS carried to perform properly there needed to be a liberal amount of lube on the rails. This created a situation where they had to be very cognizant of how they carried their weapons. It was critical that great care was taken in protecting their weapons from dirt and sand; otherwise the weapons could jam and become useless.
The SEAL 1, LLC development team came together to bring a high end green engineered gun cleaning and gun care line to the military, law enforcement and shooting industry that would all but alleviate corrosion and jams in weapons and make cleaning more effective and much quicker.

From the start of our business we have engineered C.P. Tactical around the education aspect of the firearm industry. In 2015 Chris and Chet Perfetto had a vision of starting a shooting range as a retirement endeavor for Chris after he left the Army. Chet, being a Naval Officer, wanted to bring an all inclusive range to the area that encompassed the best of both the veteran, police and civilian communities. This was the start of Tactical Solutions. As the planning continued, the range was expanded to be a firearms shop and a training facility that houses a state of the art 25 yard from firing line to back-stop shooting range that is unlike any other on the East Coast. Our ventilation system has a unique HEPA filtration system and the range is made to be used for military and police tactical training as well as civilian shooting and competition shoots.
