Unresolved trauma and self-righteousnessâŠdoes it lead to spiritual awakening? Or spiral out into vivid hallucinations and self-destruction? On this weekâs episode, The Babes pray at the altar of the 2019 horror-drama St. Maude. We confess our thoughts on the intersections of faith, isolation, repression and mental health. Wow. This one left us a little heartbroken for our title character, Carrie (1976). The Babes explore the response to puberty, spiritual abuse within the home and the consequences of somewhat well-intentioned faculty intervention. We analyze the way society dealt with certain issues in the 1970âs and the ways that would NOT fly in 2023 and Carrie White deserved better. The glowy hue combined with high school rage made us feel uneasy and sad for these characters.
People fear what they donât know and they definitely misunderstood Carrie.

Grab your broom sticks, your red cloaks, and your fangirl art for Black Phillip - We want to LIVE DELICIOUSLY and venture into the woods of The VVitch.
