Inspired by the cult classic film How to Get Ahead in Advertising, that episode of The Office where Dwight kills Angela’s cat, and several camp skits we once wrote, this podcast presents a ludicrous and deeply incorrect view of the branded podcasting industry. From naming your aviation podcast “Bombs on a Plane,” to receiving a cease and desist notification for stalking Samuel L. Jackson, to underscoring sad breakup interviews with sped-up circus music – THE JAR AUDIO EXPERIENCE ™ team is bound to steer you completely wrong as they brainstorm their way ineptly through endless pointless meetings. Think of their guidance as lessons in “what not to do” at each stage of the branded podcasting process. Stick with each episode to the end and you will also hear some apparently sincere advice from the @RealJARAudio team, on everything from choosing a podcast name, to finding guests, to picking out music, marketing your show, and more. Don’t forget to like and follow us wherever you get your podcasts. But don’t follow us anywhere else. That’s creepy.

Talking Tactics gets you results! Tell me if this happens to you…any time you read an article, sign up for a webinar, or attend a conference, what you learn is inspiring. Yet, the strategies and results we hear about are often so thorough and resource-intensive, we have no idea how we could possibly do the same thing at our own institution.
Here’s the thing… true success in enrollment is a combination of consistent, focused, manageable efforts. And that is what this podcast is all about: Talking Tactics! We’ll devote episodes to a single tactic that moved the needle on any enrollment metric: inquiries, booth visitors, apps completed, deposits, reach, engagement, registrations, views, you name it. The catch? The tactic had to be done with limited resources: either by a single person, a small-but-mighty team, limited time, or without a lot of money. And because this podcast focuses on single tactics from idea to results, what you hear will feel like something you can immediately go try yourself. Listen and subscribe to Talking Tactics to learn from and celebrate your most creative and resourceful peers reaching enrollment success — one tactic at a time. Talking Tactics is hosted by Dayana Kibilds and is a proud member of the Enrollify Podcast Network. -

But everyone has a podcast! I’m not a techy person! I don’t like the sound of my voice! If this sounds like you then you’re in the right place. Despite all of these excuses, podcasting remains one of the best ways to build a brand, create an authentic community, grow a business, and most importantly, share your unique voice with the world. In this podcast, (yep, it’s pretty meta) host, Lauren Popish, is going to show you how to do just that. Lauren started podcasting after a public speaking event gone wrong sparked a phobia of public speaking that almost ended her corporate career. Now, she helps women use podcasting to share their ideas, grow their businesses, start movements, and leave their unique marks on the world. Her company, The Wave, produces shows for some of the most influential women in health, business, spirituality, and beauty. In this show, she’s taking all of the strategies she’s used to help her clients top the podcast charts and bringing them directly to you. If you are hoping to start, grow, and monetize a podcast but don’t know where to begin, then you better hit that subscribe button right now. Join us every week on Podcast Like a Girl.

My name is Jenn Swanson and this is my NEWLY re-branded show called Careers by Jenn (formerly The Communication Diva Podcast.)
I started podcasting as a hobby in 2012 on the broad topic of communication. At the time, I was teaching Human Relation Skills to college students in the healthcare field, and realized that what used to be "common sense" is not really all that common anymore, because communication skills are not intentionally taught much anymore. I didn't have enough class time to cover very much in depth, and so decided I needed a platform on which to expand what I wanted to share with people. So, Communication Diva was born.
My early episodes are quite general, and then once I got to Episode 100 and beyond, I began to focus mainly on career, workplace, job search and self-improvement topics that help you to succeed in the workplace (and in life!) through great and more effective communication.
Then, right after (and before and around) episode 150, I re-branded the name and that is why you will see Careers by Jenn title and artwork from 151 onward!
It's been a journey and a progression.
This show is sometimes just me, waxing eloquent...(haha!) and more often, I interview fascinating guests from all around the globe who offer tips and actionable ways you can get the job, love your work and advance your career. Sometimes we focus on self-growth and personal improvement, and other times we give you step-by-step advice to get something particular done. In any case, thanks for reading this very long description! I hope you find something that resonates here and invite you to join the conversation. (Come join our private Facebook group too, it's called The Careers by Jenn Community.) -
