Thomas ends Series 1 in style, looking at the broadcaster Greg James and how he made it into the world of radio from his beginning as a host on student radio to his worldwide recognition as the host of the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show!
He also delves into the rich history of BBC Radio 2 from its beginning in 1967 on the 30th of September, to today, and looks at the big milestones they have reached as well as examining some of the ups and downs over the last 57 years.
And today, to round off the series, he brought back the funny and entertaining live faults or glitches. He looks at two from BBC Radio 2, one from Vernon Kay and one from Tony Blackburn, as well as examining when the fire alarm went off live on BBC Radio 5 Live in 2017! This week, Thomas has a 40-minute special where he looks at the broadcasting legend Steve Wright, who sadly passed away on the 12th of February 2024 at the age of 69.
Thomas pays tribute to Steve by playing some of Steve's best moments on BBC Radio 1 and 2, as well as hearing what Steve's friends at Radio 2 said about him.
