As a tech leader, I've seen firsthand how uncertainty can shake even the strongest teams. During a particularly unstable period, with lay-offs looming large, I noticed something great.
My team kept performing at a high level compared to others. When I asked why, the answer was clear: they didn't sense the same tension or pressure.
Despite the external shaky events, they felt a sense of belonging, calm and focus within our team dynamic. This experience taught me the profound impact of a resilient leader, not just on their own well-being, but on the entire team's ability to weather any storm.

I can tell you that the search for balance is important for me. More specifically since I've realised my tendency to overdo it at work until being close to burning myself out. Twice.
Has this happened to you already?
The notion of work-life balance is, in my opinion, pretty blurry and still, it always seems to be the holy grail to achieve.
But how are you supposed to find balance in a constantly evolving and changing world? With the overwhelming list of never-ending to-dos? With kids crying in the background? With performance pressure? With conflicts within the team?
I used to find the perfect balance when I was on holidays, sipping a fresh coconut on the beach. Was it really balance though? On holidays, there is no more work (normally) so It’s not truly balancing work-life : do you see what I mean?
