  • Mike spent 18 years in the US Army and as a government contractor for OGA (Other Government Agency). He served as a SGM (Sergeant Major) in Special Forces and deployed multiple times to combat theaters. Mike is the founder of Fieldcraft Survival, and an expert in Counter-Terrorism, security, and crisis management operations.

As promised, this is a follow-up to our previous conversation where Mike explained the legal ordeal he had just survived. After that episode aired, Mike and I received a substantial amount of feedback from those in the legal profession suggesting that the remainder of the legal process should be allowed to play itself out before discussing further. We have taken their advice.

This episode is about how you start over, how you build back, and how you find yourself if you get lost.

  • We are back again with a role reversal, turning the microphone towards the man usually behind the scenes – show producer, Michael Shelton. I never know where these conversations are going to lead, since I am turning the questions over to Michael, a man with an internet search history that has likely landed him on a variety of watchlists.

There was absolutely no structure to this episode, we covered everything from a police officer locking themselves in the backseat with a woman, Crowdstrike, The UK calling for social media posters to be extradited and charged, what part of a person Michael would eat first, and everything in between.

It is always a wild journey, I hope you enjoy it.

  • Henry Akins began training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in 1995 at the Rickson Gracie Acadamy on Pico blvd in West LA. Shortly after he started he became the secretary at the academy and was spending 70 hours a week there watching and participating in all of the classes. In Feb of 2004, because of his persistence and dedication to the fundamentals and philosophies of Jiu-Jitsu, Rickson Gracie presented Henry with a blackbelt, being only the third American at the time to receive that honor.

Mickey Schuch is the owner and an instructor at Carry Trainer, an organization designed to provide a holistic approach to self-defense and firearms training. Mickey is a firearm instructor for Pistol, Rifle, Shotguns, Personal Protection Inside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home, a Range Safety Officer, and a member of the Illinois Tactical Officers Association. Carry Trainer provides real solutions for real problems. It is incumbent upon individuals, businesses, and organizations to protect and defend innocent life.

Carry Training provides training for individuals who are looking to make themselves the best that they can be. There is much more to self-defense than obtaining a permit to carry a gun. Training in any martial skill is more than attending a class, it is a lifestyle choice and the decision to exercise the right of arming oneself for the defense of themselves and family should not be taken lightly. Bullets cannot be called back once loosed from the gun. Safety is not an inherent trait; it is learned through proper training and repetition.
