Yes, we know. We're a over a month late for Free Comic Book Day comics. Apologies for that but we're here now with lots of reviews! Big focus on DC and Marvel Comics w/ a few others thrown in the mix. A lot of great teasers leading into series or graphic novels and even a fun reprint. They welcome guests Chris Sheridan (Resident Alien showrunner) and Katilyn Fajilan (The Mask of Haliya head writer). Chris talks the recent season 3, Alan Tudyk's genius, the amazing cast, mixing comedy and drama, etc. Jimmy once again invites himself to be killed on the show when season 4 gets announced and underway. Kaitlyn discusses The Mask of Haliya comic series from Kwento Comics that she's the head writer on, how it all came together, other writing projects, advice for new writers, researching Filipino myths and more. Jimmy went up to Kingston, NY on Saturday, 4/27 for the inaugural Kingston Independent Comic Expo (KICx). A new comic book expo showcasing local Hudson Valley creators. Producer Joe, along with friends Cris and Kevin, put on an amazing show. Kudos to all involved! In this episode, you'll hear interviews with the following: KT Marrinan, a recent MICA grad, talks about her upcoming graphic novel debut Skelemancy, LARPing, transitioning from art school to being an artist, etc. Kevin Miller, comic book writer, was there representing Invader Comics and talked about his own more horror comics as well as the multiple genre titles coming out from the publisher. Kevin Michael Rowe, one of the KICx founders, is also a comic book writer and talks about his creation N.A.R.L.I., putting together KICx, love of Doctor Who and other nerdy things, etc. All super fun interviews!
