It's not Christmas without "Last Christmas", released by English pop duo WHAM! 40 long years ago. I'm in disbelief that I've been spinning that tune for as long as I have.
George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley - as WHAM! - set out to conquer the music world in 1982. They were still teenagers! And it was in 1986 they performed together as WHAM! for the last time after successfully completing their mission. Hit after hit - "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", "Freedom," "I’m Your Man", and of course, "Last Christmas", made their time in the spotlight white-hot. The lifelong friends became one of the most globally successful pop acts of the 1980s, selling more than thirty million records worldwide!
Join Andrew Ridgeley and me as we talk of the old days, of his friend, George Michael, of the Netflix's feature documentary, "WHAM!", the BBC1 production, "WHAM!: Last Christmas Unwrapped", and so much more. We've saved it for someone special!

Need a laugh? Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, my podcast guest, is one of the most successful stand-up comedians today with six comedy specials streaming on various platforms and selling out theaters across the world.
She may be most well known for her hilarious Nail Salon Sketch that's become part of our everyday vernacular. Most recently she launched a Mental Health podcast called Funjelah that focuses on gratitude, because, in Anjelah's words, "When you remind yourself of what you’re grateful for and say it out loud, you’re not only speaking good into the world, but good into yourself." Funjelah offers dose after healing dose of gratitude and humor. Enjoy a few laughs on us! ~ Delilah

"Beneath the Lion's Wings" may be a work of fiction, but the love story at the heart of this beautiful novel by Marie Ohanesian Nardin is as real as it gets!
Join Marie and I as she recounts how she fell in love with a handsome gondolier her water taxi passed on a Venetian canal some 40 years ago and how it shapes her novel. The book's characters, Victoria & Alvise, face a different set of circumstance than Maria and her husband, Roberto, did, but the same spark drew them together. This podcast episode is two love stories in one. You won't want to miss either! ~ Delilah

You're used to hearing and seeing her name as it relates to star performances in movies like "Almost Famous", but today... today we'll be talking with the gorgeous, delightful, multi-talented Kate Hudson about her debut music album, "Glorious". She's not an actor turned singer-songwriter, it's just who she's always been, but she's just now revealing this side to us.
I love that at 45 Kate is still exploring, still reaching, still challenging herself and sharing the amazing results with us. I hope there's a nugget of inspiration in there for you to spend some time on something that's been percolating for a while. Show the world what you're made of! ~ Delilah

After starting out with humble beginnings singing in their father’s church in West Oakland, CA, The Pointer Sisters went on to achieve worldwide success and a place in pop music history.
The eldest sister, and only remaining member of the original group, Ruth Pointer, continues to perform the music of The Pointer Sisters all over the globe with her daughter, Issa Pointer, and granddaughter, Sadako Pointer. What an absolute thrill it was to speak to this talented trailblazer. We laughed so much, especially when she caught me out on an on-air oopsie I made yeeeaaarrrs ago, and Ruth was listening!
The Pointer Sisters will be joining The Commodores and The Spinners for a limited engagement tour this summer through the fall sharing an "unforgettable evening of classics hits." What an opportunity! ~ Delilah

Daryl Hall and I have something in common... We "Can't Say No To You"! That's the title of his new single, written and recorded with his good friend, Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. The single, out now, precedes his new album, "D" releasing June 21.
I've been playing Daryl's music for almost as long as he's been creating it, (he has a few years on me) and we had a lot of reminiscing to do! It was so good to get caught up with this musical legend. Drop in for a listen--Oh c'mon, you can't say no to me either! ~ Delilah

Leanne Morgan may be just getting started... but I think this conversation that we had back in September, deserves an encore!
Since we chatted, Leanne has become an even hotter commodity! She's wrapped up a movie with Reese Witherspoon and Will Farrell, called, "You're Cordially Invited", has landed a sitcom with legendary writer-producer Chuck Lorre, and she's written a book entitled, "What In The World", that will be my monthly book club pick very shortly.
It seems Leanne is everywhere these days, and I just wanted to throw back to a few months ago when she was right here with us. Enjoy! ~ Delilah

This charming half of the musical duo, for KING & COUNTRY is sharing some inside info on the movie, UNSUNG HERO, out now, about his musical family and their decision to move from Australia to the US on little more than a wing and a prayer.

Luke co-produces and brother, Joel, who makes up the other half of for KING + COUNTRY, portrays their father in the film. All family members have cameos including another famous sister, Rebecca St. James! Get comfy and join us for a lovely chat. (And if you haven't already, go see UNSUNG HERO!)

Sir Nicholas 'Nicky' Winton was a young London stockbroker who visited Prague in December of 1938 where he discovers a large population of refugees fleeing the Nazis - and he knew he must do something, at least for the children.
Back in London, Nick spent months arranging for foster families, passports, and documentation that would usher hundreds of children to safety... 669 children! 50 years later his story came to light in a remarkable way. Nick Winton lived his 106 years humbly, with the idea that service to others isn't a calling, it's simply what one does.
Today, his son, Nick Winton, Jr., a soft-spoken, compassionate, storyteller joins us to talk about his dad and the film "One Life", starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, that is in theaters now. You'll be so moved! ~ DelilahSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Join us for this sweet, intimate conversation where we speak of the dark times that inspire such powerful messages, and the light that's able to illuminate the chords and the lyrics. You may know him (like I did) from the popular "Reacher" series, but it turns out there's even more to Alan Ritchson than his ability to portray a swoony character with formidable strength and investigative prowess.
He stars, alongside Hilary Swank, in the heartwarming movie, Ordinary Angels, in theaters February 23. Based on a true story, Alan portrays a recently widowed husband and father with a critically ill child, determined but struggling. And he does so brilliantly.
Pull up a chair and join us as we talk about the movie and so much more! You'll learn some fascinating things about this real-life hunky but humble husband and dad that just might inspire you be a better version of yourself. And if you don't already, you'll realize there are "ordinary angels" walking among us. ~ Delilah

"Wounded Tiger" is The inspiring true story of the pilot who led the attack on Pearl Harbor whose life was changed by an American POW and by a girl he never met... Though it is a work of NONfiction, Wounded Tiger reads like a novel because it is a dramatic character-driven story. It has three main plot lines and each story begins separately, but they slowly come together in an unpredictable and captivating way.
Author, T. Martin Bennett joins us today to share HIS story, and talk about how, in the darkest of times, LOVE WINS. There's no better note, or guest, to end Season 5 of LOVE SOMEONE one. Join us! ~ Delilah
