Paramount Global axed 800 staff, today, among which was Cathering Herridge from the Washington Desk of CBS News. Her career has been excellent and I hope this is a new beginning for her. With traditional driveby media collapsing, it is the golden age for a trusted individual to go it alone.

The ten minute recording between Kari Lake & Jeff DeWit was an emotional listen, for me. How easily we sell betrayal.
Thank you, Kari, for being the person I thought you were and pushing back. He tried appealing to pride and vanity. Fail. He tried subtly to threaten. Fail. He tried to bribe you out of running. Fail. He was probably also recording, attempting to get you to name a number. Bigly fail.
Jeff's bribery attempts are a Rosetta Stone for understanding Washington DC and why our country is on the brink. If Jeff was a character in a movie he would be Alien's Carter Burke scolding Ripley for not taking the money and keeping silent. "I thought you were smarter than this," says Burke.
Jeff DeWit claims "very powerful people" from "back East" sent him. "Forget the who." He attempts to bribe Kari Lake multiple times in ten minutes out of a run for the US Senate.
"Is there a number?" -Jeff.
"...fill your coffers." -Jeff
"Give me a counter-offer." -Jeff
