District 2 had the pleasure of speaking with the Bridgewater College Eagles Head Men's basketball coach, Mike Maczko. Coach Maczko is the 16th HC in Bridgewater College history. We were able to discuss Coach Maczko's career as a player and assistant coach before his head coaching gigs. Coach Maczko's father is name of recognition in the Baltimore area and instilled a passion for ball his son.

Coach Veshi discusses his career and stops along his way to being the PG head coach, what Post grad basketball is like, and the ever changing landscape in basketball.

District 2 Sports talks some region basketball play with 4 local coaches. The guys start with Salem Spartans HC, Kevin Garst, who has been at Salem for 19yrs. Salem had a solid year at 20-4 and open region play at GW-Danville. District 2 is then joined by PH-Glade Spring HC, Frederick Selfe, in his 6th year. The Rebels finished at 22-3 and claimed their 1st Hogoheegee tournament championship and 2nd district title ever. The Rebels are awaiting the winner of Twin Valley and Twin Springs. 1st year HC of the LCA Bulldogs, Matthew Klein, had a great year at 18-5 and have already gotten a taste of region play after a huge win over Rocktown. They are playing the 4 seed Wilson Memorial. E.C. Glass basketball is the #1 seed in the south for Region 4D. DJ Best is in his 7th season as the HC and is looking to get back to VCU as he did just a couple years ago.

Adam discusses his high school career and what led him to commit and play for the Tigers, his leaps and progress over the years to become the leader and scoring threat that he is today, and finally District 2 puts Adam through the gauntlet with the rapid fire!

District 2 had the pleasure of speaking with the ODAC's leading scorer, Jordan Phillips-Mcloyd. Jordan is averaging 20.3ppg over the season and sits in first place for the ODAC. Jordan talks about his high school career at Science Hill High School and being recruited to Randolph College. Jordan provided his experience in dealing with the portal and his decision to return back to Randolph. Jordan spoke highly of Coach Kee and his freedom in the offense to go get a bucket. The guys also discussed their top 10 update.

District 2 Sports is proud to have Head Men's basketball coach of the University of Mary Washington Eagles, Coach Marcus Khan. The guys discussed the latest standings in the ODAC and the possibility of having 4-5 bids into the NCAA Tournament. Coach Khan was able to coach in a National Championship game while at Cabrini and hopes to bring the same standard to UMW.

The guys discussed their Top 10 teams around the Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Danville area. After a few upsets and live updates, the fellas provided a new Top 10 that is surely to change next week. District 2 is then joined by legendary high school basketball coach in VA, Coach Bill Pope of the Northside Vikings. The guys preview coach's career and their big game tonight against GW-Danville Eagles who are #2 in the poll.

The guys are joined by 1st year HC of the Patrick and Henry Community College Patriots Men's basketball team, Dan Milloy. Coach Millloy has vast knowledge of the game from stops at P&HCC, Ferrum, and Bethel High School. Coach has also traveled around to several schools to assist with camps and further his basketball interests. Coach talks about his Patriots in NJCAA and competing for a region title.

District 2 Sports is joined by Roanoke College football HC Bryan Stinespring (47min mark.) Coach Stinespring has been tasked with reviving a football program that has been dormant since 1942 as WWII shut down the program. Coach Stinespring is building the program from the foundation up. The Maroons played a JV schedule in 2024, but will play a full ODAC slate in 2025. The guys also discussed the CFP playoffs, UNC and Duke basketball, made some conference picks, and continue to rib one another. Like and subscribe!
