She is a guest lecturer in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Macomb Community College and frequently presents on topics involving physical therapy management of neurological diseases and disorders across the continuum of care.
Heath Stilwell is a Certified Personal Trainer, Technician Supervisor, and Wellness Coordinator at The Recovery Project, Livonia. Heath has worked at The Recovery Project since 2016 as a Rehab Technician. Since then he has become the Technician Supervisor and now Personal Trainer. He is a certified Rock Steady Boxing coach and has lead over 1,000 wellness classes since 2018. Heath loves his work, and is passionate about helping his clients succeed.
Andy Kronk was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in January of 2017 has been a client at The Recovery Project since that time. Initially Andy was a therapy client and learned how Parkinson's specific exercise can help him manage his disease along with consistently taking his medications. He has been a loyal member of the wellness programs at The Recovery Project, starting with PWR! This procedure is FDA approved to improve symptoms of major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), migraines, and to help people stop smoking when standard treatments haven't worked well. The group also discusses ongoing research on this procedure for other neurological conditions.
Dr. Nick Mischel, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience in the Department of Psychiatry at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine, which is also where he completed his undergraduate medical training. He specialized in clinical electromagnetic brain stimulation during psychiatric residency training at Duke University Hospital from 2015-2019. He currently practices psychiatry under Wayne Health and Greenbrook TMS, treating adult patients with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and other interventions for medication-resistant neurobehavioral conditions. He is a leader in the Clinical TMS Society (CTMSS), Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), a proud father, and Michigander.

Dr. Nada Metti, DrOT, OTRL is an occupational therapist at The Recovery Project. Nada is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, receiving her Masters in Occupational Science and Therapy and her post-professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Nada joined The Recovery Project in 2021 and specializes in the treatment of neurological conditions and has a specific passion for working with individuals with stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and multiple sclerosis. Outside of The Recovery Project, Nada has spent 8 years as a teaching assistant in the gross anatomy and neuroanatomy cadaver lab for Oakland University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and has been a content editor of 3 textbooks and is also a published author.
Lindsay Vos joined The Recovery Project in 2021 and is a stroke survivor, recreational therapist, marketing representative, and wellness trainer. Lindsay is a former collegiate athlete who graduated from the University of Toledo with her bachelor's degree in recreational therapy. Lindsay has always been interested in learning more about the brain and physical medicine and rehabilitation. She has a strong background working many years with individuals who sustained a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury from catastrophic accidents. Lindsay is passionate about community reintegration and animal-assisted therapy to promote non-pharmacological pain management techniques which ultimately improve an individual’s quality of life. Lindsay knows what it is like to be both a patient and a therapist, as she suffered from a massive stroke in 2017. Sonia Shah, BS, BSN, CCM, is a Certified Case Manager and Founder/Owner of Horizon Case Management.Sonia developed a commitment to serving individuals with disabilities related to auto accidents, worker's compensation, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and more. She has devoted her entire life to caring for others and has been working in the healthcare field since the age of 15. Her biggest inspiration to help others stems from her parents – a doctor and a nurse – who inspire Sonia to continue their passion for healthcare. She has over ten years of experience in pharmaceuticals, mental health, public health, public policy, home health, and nursing. Her personal experience caring for her sick mother and serving as her mother’s case manager has inspired her to start Horizon Case Management. There are many challenges with navigating our complex healthcare system. Sonia and her team strive to make the lives of their clients and loved ones easier by shifting through resources and advocating for them.
Sonia enjoys Muay Thai Boxing, hiking, acting classes, traveling, reading about changes in healthcare, donating her time to charities, going to church, and living a Christian life. She currently volunteers at her church as a catechist teacher for 7th graders and travels often, working in medical camps worldwide.

Laura Jackson experienced a C1-C2 complete spinal cord injury in 2003 at only 14 years old. Since that time, Laura has graduated from college, earned her MBA, became a peer mentor for the Christopher Reeves Foundation, and was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Michigan in 2020 and 2021! She is a dedicated advocate for disability equality and awareness, and is a source of inspiration, motivation and humor for all those who know her.
Billy Vickers became a T6 paraplegic at 22 years old after a motorcycle accident. In the years following his injury, Billy has devoted himself to maximizing his health and wellbeing, and sharing that knowledge and inspiration with others in similar circumstances. Billy works for Rehab and Mobility Systems and is a peer mentor for the Perspectives program. He lives an active life full of outdoor adventures and experiences!

She is also a Certified Oncology Rehabilitation Therapist with advanced training in physical therapy management for individuals diagnosed with cancer. Meghan also specializes in the management of Parkinson’s Disease, including receiving certifications in LSVT BIG, PWR! and Rock Steady Boxing. She has been integral in the development of various medical and wellness programs at The Recovery Project. Meghan is a guest lecturer in the physical therapy program at Wayne State University and frequent presenter on topics involving physical therapy management of neurological diseases and disorders.
