Τριάντα οκτώ θέσεις χειρότερα από το 2021 και τελευταία στην κατάταξη των χωρών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης: η ελευθερία του Τύπου στην Ελλάδα βρίσκεται σε ελεύθερη πτώση. Σύμφωνα με την ετήσια έκθεση των Ρεπόρτερ Χωρίς Σύνορα (RSF) για το 2022, σε συνολικά 180 χώρες, η χώρα που αναφέρεται διεθνώς ως η γενέτειρα της δημοκρατίας έπεσε κατακόρυφα μέσα σε έναν μόλις χρόνο από την 70η στην 108η θέση.
Στα έξι επεισόδια που ακολουθούν, οι δημοσιογράφοι Τζένη Τσιροπούλου και Κωνσταντίνος Πουλής θα ερευνήσουν την ανεξιχνίαστη δολοφονία ενός δημοσιογράφου μέρα-μεσημέρι κάτω από το σπίτι του, θα μας μεταφέρουν μέσα στα newsroom ώστε να δούμε τις εργασιακές συνθήκες, τη λογοκρισία και την αυτολογοκρισία στα ΜΜΕ, θα μιλήσουν με δημοσιογράφους-θύματα καταχρηστικών αγωγών SLAPP αλλά και δημοσιογράφους-θύματα τηλεφωνικών υποκλοπών. Θα μας μιλήσουν ακόμα για μία απολύτως αδιαφανή διαδικασία κρατικής χρηματοδότησης στα ΜΜΕ προκειμένου τελικά να καταλάβουμε τι σημαίνει στην πράξη το να βρίσκεσαι στην 108η θέση.
