The elephant king backed out of the pond. He said he was sorry for upsetting the moon, and they would leave in the morning. The rabbits had their pond back! -

When the young man climbs off his horse, the old servant elbows the horse so it throws the young man off but not on the sharp glass. After he is married and in the bridal chamber, the old servant interrupts and chops the bed in half, killing all the poisonous snakes. The young man asks what is going on. The old servant explains about the story bag. -

He goes to the ax, and the ax tells him he needs a stone to sharpen the ax. The stone says he needs water to wet the stone. The water says he needs to get a deer to jump into it. The deer says he needs to get a dog to chase her. The dog says it needs some butter in its teeth. The churns says it needs milk. The cow says it needs tall grass. The grass says it needs water. The water says he needs something to hold it.
Munanchar grabs a sieve, but the water runs right through it. Just then a crow flies by and caws. The sound of the crow reminds Munanchar of caulk. He uses some mud as caulk, gets some water in the sieve, and waters the grass, feeds the grass to the cow, brings milk to the churn that churns out some butter for the dog, who chases the deer, who jumps into the water that wets the stone and sharpens the ax. He takes the ax and cuts a branch, breaks off the little branches to make a stick, and runs back. There's no one there. Menanchar has gone home. -

The rooster scratched the emperor and scolded him. He got angry and ordered that she make a partridge in seven days, and she could go home. She did: With a drop of blood, she speckled its wings, and a tear for a pearl in its mouth.
The emperor declared he had asked for a dragon. She had seven days. She made a little dragon and with a drop of blood made it a red dragon. When the emperor saw it, he said it was a snake. The dragon breathed fire on the emperor. That was the end of the emperor, and the fire burned down his palace. Sister Lace jumped on the back of the dragon and rode into the sky, never to be seen again, but her lace work is still seen every time there is a rainbow. -

The hole was right above the old couple, who had just gone to bed. The greedy neighbor called down to them, "Here's your pot of gold!" He dumped the pot, and gold coins tumbled out and covered the surprised and delighted old couple! -
