I am particularly excited for this week's interview, as someone with Fibromyalgia, I get to support a group and a cause I fully understand!
Therese will be letting us know more about the group, and we will be discussing what the sufferers of these conditions go through, and why it is so important to support those you know.

Then, as part of our Charity Drive for August, Grant will be telling us more about the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group, helping refugees find jobs and employers, difficulties refugees face especially because of short-term visas, and issues for Refugees in detention where he visits.

For our final show in June, Find out more about Great Community Transport from the CEO of Active Care Network, Ben Jackson. This is a service in the Blue Mountains area that provides transport assistance to people of all ages, including the frail, elderly, people with disabilities - young or old, or with special needs, including wheelchairs and their carers. As well as some short-term assistance to health-related appointments is available for people who are temporarily "transport disadvantaged".
Then, we will wrap up the show with Coralie Faye from Cancer Wellness Support! We will find out how our fundraising is going, more about Cancer Wellness Support and their Dry July event.

This week, on Giving Back - RBM 89.1 FM, Blue Mountains Creative Arts Network’s President Graham Tribe and Committee member Julie Ankers will talk about this year’s inaugural MAX21 and the purpose behind creating the arts festival. Also what locals and visitors can expect to see and experience during this 9 day visual and aural celebration of the best of the Blue Mountains.
OWNBM (Older Women’s Network Blue Mountains), a branch of OWN (NSW) was started in the Blue Mountains by Julie Ankers, Bev Plaizier and Coralie Faye in February of this year. Based on the principle of the empowerment and rights of Older Women this rapidly growing organisation advocates on issues that directly affect many older women like the availability of affordable housing, and other vital social issues. OWNBM also provides a forum for older women to meet for discussion, hear from engaging speakers, socialise and if interested join specific interest groups.
