The Bible is alive, it does speak to me. As I read it and go through my day, it shapes my thoughts and actions. It challenges me to grow in every part of my life, teaches me how to be a better husband, father, and worker. It teaches me about the character of God, morality, history, how to manage money, and so much more. It reveals my shortcomings and transforms my mind.

This month we're heading to the old west with Mr. Denton on Doomsday and Showdown with Rance McGrew. Both episodes share themes about facing consequences and getting a second chances. One of the episodes hit close to home for us and had some poignant moments, while the other's comedic efforts landed more for one of us than the other.

During the second quarter of a football game last season as the crowd was raucously cheering on the home team, my friend leaned over to me and said, āCan I ask you a question?ā āSure,ā I said. āWhatās the secret to raising girls?ā Of all the questions he could have asked me in that moment, I never would have guessed that would be it.

The fact is, AI and robotics are coming. If they havenāt already started to change or disrupt some part of your life, itās only a matter of time before they do. For me, Iāve discovered ways to use AI to better my skills and provide improved services to my clients. But Iāve barely scratched the surface of how AI can be used in my industry. Itās challenging because AI is changing quickly and what AI once did in a way that was sloppy is quickly becoming quality.

As a parent, I have tried very hard to keep this principle in mind. I havenāt always been good at keeping my emotions in check so that I can assess the situation objectively, but when I have been able to check myself, my kids and myself have been better for it. We are all going to mess up and cause accidents, especially the youngest among us.

We are discussing all things bloodlines (or at least baby blood samples) this week on the podcast as we finally return to the Redverse and see the birth of Henry. We are once again joined by the great Michael London of Fringe Connections to take on this episode, and we share our somewhat differing opinions regarding how this episode holds up after the timeline ends up being overwritten.

Many depictions of the Christmas story include the wise men at the manger most likely for the sake of simplicity. That doesnāt mean the Bible is incorrect, but that depictions of the story are incorrect. What some skeptics do consider to be a contradiction is the differences in where the family lived and traveled after Jesus was born. Are these indeed contradictions that disprove the Biblical story of Jesus' birth?

This month we look at two episodes which share the common theme of time being unnaturally halted and the moral quandaries that such power presents. In "Elegy," three astronauts become stranded on an asteroid which shares characteristics similar to earth Earth. Soon they discover people frozen in time, evoking themes of time suspension and existential anxiety. Similarly, "Still Valley" follows a Confederate soldier discovering a village frozen by a mysterious spell, presenting him with moral dilemmas regarding the use of this power to assist the Confederacy.

Elephants do indeed have excellent memories. If youāre like me, you think of this fact as a good thing. That is, if someone says you have a memory like an elephant, youād take it as a compliment. Today Iām going to flip that on its head, show how it can be a negative, and hopefully help you examine your own life to see if you have a memory like an elephant.

We hope that you will stowaway with us on the Fringe train as we discuss this unique episode of Fringe - unique in that Anna Torv is not playing Olivia Dunham or an Olivia Dunham alternate but rather the man behind the curtain himself - William Bell (or Bellivia or Spolive as you prefer). We also finally get to meet the Blueverse version of Lincoln Lee (or Special Agent Hottie as you prefer), and we discuss what we like and maybe donāt like as much on rewatch.

John looked at my problem and offered up his idea of the best solution. Like C-3PO I looked at that path as too rocky. Not only was it more than I had the budget for, I knew that building the app was just the beginning. Iād have to keep a developer on retainer for bug fixes, updates, and security management. I didnāt want to be in the software development business. So I looked for a smoother path.

Growing up I always enjoyed adventure and platforming games best while my brother enjoyed sports games best. In fact, whether it was in physical sports we played in the yard or virtual sports we played via video games, I never once beat my brother. That is, until one day while spending the weekend with our grandparents we rented Joe Montana Football. That fateful day I discovered he was unable to defend the bootleg pass and I beat him something like 100-7. It was a glorious day and one that I have never let him live down. It was my one bright shining moment in a lifetime of athletic failure.

Come float with us (we all float down here!) this episode as we discuss āOsā (Fringe episode 3.16), a (mostly) stand-alone episode in which a scientist tries to cure his sonās physical disability using a combination of two rare, dense metals that, when administered together into the blood, makes people float.

We had each channeled our inner Grandpa Joe and allowed the alluring wonders of a chocolate factory to serve as our motivation for getting out of bed that day. After a quick stroll down the pier to meet up with our driver, we soon found ourselves standing at the curb of Graycliff Chocolatier. Once inside we were given protective gowns and hair nets. I first assumed these were to protect the chocolate from getting contaminated by those of us on the tour. I eventually discovered it was also to protect our clothing from all of the chocolatey goodness weād enjoy that day!

The 16mm Shrine" and "Static" are Twilight Zone episodes thematically linked by the persistent pull of nostalgia. In "The 16mm Shrine," audiences witness an actress so enchanted by her cinematic past that she chooses to inhabit it, distancing herself from the present realm. On the other hand, "Static" features a man rediscovering a vintage radio that transmits echoes of his past joys.

Whether itās your heart, brain, or gut, thereās definitely something to be said about these intuition moments. Iāve used my gut to make thousands of decisions over the course of my life, some of which I was very aware of how my gut played into the decision, and Iām sure many others where it happened so naturally that I didnāt even realize it. Iām sure youāre the same way too. Today I want to share two stories that haunt me to this day that taught me at a young age the power of being sensitive to your gut. Both of these stories happened after Iād moved off to college, but before Iād reached my 20th birthday.
