How High School Basketball Players Can Have Your Best Summer Ever
Download my free gift for you - Intangibles Skills Checklist - http://www.hardsmarttogether.com/intangibles
Are You a High School Basketball player that has ever gotten to the end of the summer and thought to yourself, what happened, summer is gone, school is starting again and I donāt feel like summer was what I expected it to be. Or I had all these goals for my game improvement and I didnāt really get any better. Or I was so busy, I forgot to enjoy it! Today Iām going to share how you can have a summer without those regrets when itās over.
We are just a couple of weeks from Summer break. If you donāt have a very specific vision for your summer, someone else will come up with a vision for you. They mean well, but they will fill your summer with what they think you want, or what they think you should do. This might be a coach, a parent, a group of friends. You and you alone need to have a vision for your summer, so when itās over you wonāt say to yourself, where did it go? You have to have a vision, before you make your summer goals, action plan or your summer schedule for yourself. This exercise will give you total clarity on what you should do this summer!

How High School Basketball Players Can Change This Bad Habit
Intangibles Skills Checklist - http://www.hardsmarttogether.com/intangibles
Are You a High School Basketball player that wants more confidence in your game? Making less mistakes, caused by bad habits you may have developed and changing them to good habits will give you more and more confidence in how you play. The offseason is one of the best times to do it. Today Iām going to share one of the bad habits you have to break and give you an example of how even professional NBA players struggle with the same bad habit thatās just a turnover waiting to happen.
For those of you who have been following me for a long time, you probably know that I live in the SF Bay Area and Iām a long time GS Warriors fan. But even though Iām a fan of the NBA, I rarely use the NBA game as an example for helping you become a high IQ basketball player, because itās not the most fundamental form of basketball. Itās funny how fundamental players at all levels are typically the same basketball players that are labeled smart players. I saw an example of a GS player showing the same bad habit in the playoff series with Houston, over and over again and thought what a great teaching momentā¦

I hope all you high school basketball players had a chance to watch UConn win the womenās basketball championship on Sunday. It was Coach Geno Arriemmaās 12 Championship at UConn. While it was enjoyable to watch as a fan, on this channel we want to dive into what you can learn from their accomplishment and there are a few things that stand out, that Iām going to share today.
When I first became a girlās high school head basketball coach, I was determined to build a program that was focused on player development, both on the court and off. I was fortunate enough back then to work at Geno Auriemmaās UConn camps during the summer. The way I looked at it, was if you want to be the best at something, you should surround yourself with the best, learn and soak up as much as you can from them. Soak when coach Geno won his 12th championship on Sunday, I reflected back on where they started and what you players can take away from their success.

If youāre a high school basketball player thatās been watching all the March Madness basketball games, you may have noticed that a lot of the games come down to which team applies enough pressure to effect the other teamās poise. Today, Iām going to share two great ways you can apply pressure as an individual basketball player on your opponents.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about some specific things you could look for in these games to start studying game film in a more analytical way to improve your basketball IQ. As I watch these games I am reminded of what most basketball games come down to and that is which team can apply enough relentles pressure to crack the poise of their opponent. Strategies from your coach are designed to do this, but there are individual habits that smart players do on both offense and defense that apply pressure too. We are going to discuss two of those today.

Hey all you basketball players out there, has your team ever been down at the end of the game and the only way to win is fouling to stop the clock and hope for missed FTs? Today I going to share how smart players foul in this situation, to give their team a better chance to win.
If youāve followed for a while, you know that I am always teaching about how to play great defense without fouling, but there are those must-foul situations when your team is down at the end of the game and the only thing to do is fouling, so the clock stops and your team can get the ball back after missed free-throws. There is a subtle difference in how the average player executes this strategy and how a smart, high IQ player does.
