Todayâs guest, Candace Bushnell, is a best-selling novelist, journalist, TV producer, and, most recently, the star of her own one-woman show.
Sheâs the celebrated author of âSex and the Cityâ, which formed the basis for the phenomenally successful TV show that aired for 6 seasons on HBO, followed by 2 hugely popular movies, and the re-boot TV series âAnd Just Like Thatâ, currently in production for its third season.
She has also written NINE other internationally bestselling books: âFour Blondesâ, âTrading Upâ, âLipstick Jungleâ, âOne Fifth Avenueâ, âThe Carrie Diariesâ, âSummer and the Cityâ, âKilling Monicaâ, âIs There Still Sex in the Cityâ, and âRules for Being a Girlâ. Her books, âLipstick Jungleâ and âThe Carrie Diariesâ were BOTH made into TV series for two seasons.
Back in the 90s, our guest had her own reality show called âSex, Lives and Video Clipsâ. Since then, she had an interview program on Sirius Satellite Radio called âSex, Success and Sensibilityâ, which explored womenâs careers and relationships. She then had a 4-part web-series called âThe BROAD ROOMâ, which took a humorous look at women in the workplace. And THEN, she created her own BRILLIANT one-woman show called âTrue Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City,â where she takes the audience on a whirlwind tour of New York City, from Studio 54 to the Lipstick Jungle and beyond, sharing her remarkable stories of fashion, literature and sex while pouring cosmos in Manolos. This highly acclaimed show started out off-Broadway in New York and got rave reviews. She has taken the show overseas, to a number of countries, and as far away as South Africa, and she is currently on tour in the US, playing to sold out audiences and getting standing ovations. And in December, sheâs taking the show to Australia. She is the winner of the 2006 Matrix Award for books, and a recipient of the Albert Einstein Spirit of Achievement Award. Sheâs a frequent guest on ALL of the major talk shows, and sheâs constantly in demand because of her intelligence, warmth, wit, fearlessness and immense likeability.

Todayâs guest, Carlyn Montes De Oca, is an award-winning author, acupuncturist, nutritional consultant and expert in the animal-human health connection. Her best-selling book entitled âDog as My Doctor, Cat as My Nurse: An Animal Loverâs Guide to a Healthy, Happy Lifeâ, reveals how our loving bonds with our beloved cats and dogs positively impact every part of our well-being â mind, body, and spirit.
