    Script 1

If someone comes knocking—and they might—don’t go flinging the door open like you do for the hens. Watch ’em through the glass first. If they ask for me but don’t say my name right—Ellyn, not Ellen or Ellie—don’t trust a word out their mouth. If they say they’re from the Keep, ask ’em who braided your hair last Winter Solstice. If they can’t answer, bolt the door and don’t let them in.

I know you’re brave. Braver than me, some days. But there’s things walking the roads now that wear borrowed smiles. Don’t you forget now Mia.

    About our guest:

Alix Perry is a multi-award-nominated voiceover artist with seven years under her belt, having started her journey behind the mic in 2018. Before all the voiceover fun, she earned a BA Honours degree in Television & Creative Writing, and spent her time writing comedy scripts (because who doesn't love making people laugh?). She also worked in music venues around London, combining her love for live music with a front-row seat to the action. All the scriptwriting, editing, and people skills she picked up along the way have turned out to be the perfect fit for her voiceover career. Now, she’s great at cracking scripts, connecting with any audience, and delivering high-quality audio that leaves clients saying, ‘Yes, this is exactly what we needed!

I thought hiding in the forest was a good idea. Turns out I was wrong.

Ahead, through the gap in the leaves I could see the dirt road. I prayed I’d been wrong, that nothing was coming after me. I'd heard stories about this road, and this forest. People being robbed, killed, and it was certainly not my first choice for a hiding place. However, it was better than the narrow roads where I could easily get cornered. I knew my mistake, staying too late at the alehouse.

When your baby or child is unwell, it is a really worrying time. Sometimes it can be hard to know what to do, but it’s important to trust your instincts and get the right help.

Strep A is a common type of bacteria that is found on the skin and in the throat. Most strep A infections are mild and easily treated.

The nine separate enneatypes are grouped into three clusters called triads. Each triad has one thing in common, a point of view or a feeling that they perceive the world through. Some Enneagram practitioners refer to these as the "three knowledge centres."

The triad groups represent three ways that we can process information.

People often use words like "gut," "bones," or “heart,” to describe their feelings - such as in "I know it in my
gut”. Which option they choose can be very telling.

You'll hear him greet you on the phone at Aviva (and a stack of other Insurance Companies), he'll advise you about special offers in B&Q, and try to sell you BMWs on the radio. In fact, the only place you're unlikely to hear him is narrating an Audiobook (if you exclude 'Penny the Penguin' sleep story on the Calm app).

Bruce grew up in Surrey, and lives with his wife Rachel, two daughters (both Child VOs) and a newly adopted Saluki Sighthound. They enjoy holidays in their motorhome and given the chance, Bruce would spend his life mountain biking and snowboarding.
