We suck yo! This team is rough right now. They just lost 2 out of 3 to the Baltimore Orioles!! What is that shit?! Bogaerts, Martinez, Devers, they’re alright. Res of the offense?? Basically non existent. The pitching has been alright but it isn’t consistent enough. It’s just been a sucky start dudes

Alright I know I’ve been gone awhile but that’s ok. I just wanted to give the season some time before I really started looking at numbers. And boy did it hurt to look at numbers. The Red Sox offense has been absolutely horrible through 17 games this season. I get it. 17 games. Aren’t I overreacting? And the answer of course is yes but that’s what I’m here to do. Xander Bogaerts has an empty average, Trevor Story is OPSing in the .500s, Rafael Devers and Alex Verdugo are the only guys with more than one home run. We are closer to last place than we are first!! Can’t be doing that in the AL East, my dudes. Anyways, as always, enjoy the rants, stay safe, stay stoney, and go Sox!

This definitely wasn’t the best way to start off the new MLB season. The Red Sox dropped 2 out of 3 to the Yankees in New York as the bats just couldn’t get it going at the right times. The pitching this series was alright and kept the Sox in it but the same can’t be said for the offense. Listen as I rant about the series, lack of offense, we preview the Detroit Tigers series coming up, and we talk about other cool things that happened around the league including Shohei Ohtani smacking a ball 119 miles an hour and a 20 year old Japanese pitcher named Roki Sasaki who just threw the first perfect game in the NPB since 1994.

All the other MLB podcasts are focused on the whole landscape of the game so why not take a second to focus in on our team? Today we’re previewing the Red Sox starting lineup for the 2022 season. They were a force last year and I really think the addition of Trevor Story makes them so much better. He’s a power speed combo we haven’t had since Mookie Bette. Yeah, I said it. Is he the next Mookie? Of course no! But he definitely helps the Red Sox lineup this year. Listen to hear my thoughts on how I think everyone is going to line up at the beginning of the year and towards the end.

Baseball is back, baby! The players and owners agreed on a new CBA and the lockout is over! A lot of exciting things have happened in the last couples weeks. The Braves traded for Matt Olson, Dodgers sign Freddie Freeman, Twins sign Carlos Correa, Blue Jays trade for Matt Chapman, the Yankees doing absolutely nothing and to top it all off our Boston Red Sox signed Trevor Story to a six year, $140 million and I am stoked! This is gonna be a fun year and this is a fun episode! Enjoy, homies!

Baseball is dead. There’s the gist of the news outta the week’s worth of meetings they had. This episode starts with a ten minute rant about those very bogus meetings and then we have a fun segment called “High” Chance of That where we get a little Stoney baloney and make up some fun trade proposals. Today we’re trying to snag Juan Soto. Can we? Let’s find out

Today we’re looking at whether or not the Red Sox should sign multi time all star shortstop, Trevor Story. We’re taking an in depth look at his offensive numbers, both counting and analytical, how the defensive metrics look at him, and what value he can bring on the base paths. Absolute beast of a ball player who’s going to get an absolute beast of a pay day. Should it be from the Red Sox? Listen and find out!

With still no news on the lockout front, we’re making up our own topics! Today we’re looking at the state of the Red Sox rotation as it stands right now going in to the 2022 season and uhhh… it isn’t too promising. Check it out to here my thoughts on our projected five, my concerns, and who we can get to really solidify this staff. Got anything baseball you wanna say? Make sure to follow @InsoxicatedPod on Twitter. That’s where I’m most active

We cover a lot in this episode. We’ve got the meeting from early February to talk about, we’ve got Rob Manfred speaking with the media on the 10th, we’ve got MLB’s latest counter proposal, I got so much stuffed in this one for you guys! And just a heads up, no there has not been an official delay to Spring Training yet. Enjoy!

It’s Hall of Fame day!! So before we celebrate David Ortiz getting inducted, I figured let’s take a stroll through memory lane and see some of the more questionable selections throughout the years. They’re in no particular order and definitely will consider making a case against for everyone in the hall of fame at some point. Till then, enjoy me yelling about times I wasn’t even close to being alive in!
-
Still no baseball news. Still making up episodes as we go along. Today’s topic: who is going to fall off the hall of fame ballot. With the HOF announcement just a few days away I figured why not give some shout outs to those we won’t see next year.
-
With still no exciting baseball news going on cuz of the FUCKING LOCKOUT, we gotta go back to making up our own topics! So today we’re predicting the NL home run leaderboard since we did the AL a couple episodes ago. So without further ado enjoy
-
Finally there’s some baseball news!! MLB and the Player’s Association met for A WHOLE HOUR to discuss some stuff and I’m here to put that stuff in layman’s terms!
-
We’re still in a lockout so join me and get a little Stoney baloney and let some fells out. With no baseball news still we gotta make up our own episodes so let’s start a prediction series! We’ll start with the home run leaders for the AL in 2022. Enjoy!
-
Just trying to find literally anything to talk about still with the labor lockout going on. Today we take a look at what the Red Sox could do in right field since they traded Renfroe. It’s a little bleak but hey we come up with solutions here
-
With no new baseball news to talk about, we have to make our own things to talk about! So today, we’re taking a look at potential second base options for the 2022 season since the Red Sox have not had a consistent everyday second baseman since that hit piece on Pedroia was taken out 4 years ago. The options aren’t amazing or eye catching but we do come up with one option I think the Red Sox should absolutely jump on!
-
With very little new and exciting baseball news due to this slow as all hell lockout, I decided it would be a good time to look at the Hall Of Fame ballot. I used all 10 votes, as I feel the actual voters should do, and feel like I made the absolute definitive 2022 ballot. Every other ballot that isn’t this is wrong, thank you very much.
-
There is a LOT of complaining this episode. The Red Sox have me confused, the Yankees have me confused, the Dodgers have me confused. Big market AND small market teams alike have me confused. It’s just a very confusing time to be a baseball fan. But, hey, at least we got Michael Wacha!
-
The Atlanta Braves are your 2021 World Series Champions!! They took down the Houston Astros in their own building in Game 6 to win their first World Series since 1995! We take a little trip down memory lane to see what life was like back in ‘95 and then we look ahead to free agency and the Red Sox’s three biggest needs in my opinion and who should fill them.
-
The World Series is pretty boring so far… John Smoltz suucckksss as a broadcaster. Red Sox land is real quiet, hopefully we’ll get off-season buzz soon
