The word “histrionic” means “dramatic or theatrical.”“5 Signs You Might Be a Drama Queen” by Claire Jack Ph.D.Cleveland ClinicHistrionic Personality Disorder (HPD)For people with histrionic personality disorder, their self-esteem depends on the approval of others and doesn’t come from a true feeling of self-worth. They have an overwhelming desire to be noticed and often behave dramatically or inappropriately to get attention.People with histrionic personality disorder often don’t realize their behavior and way of thinking may be problematic.
A pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by 5 or more of the following (Diagnosis Criteria):Is uncomfortable in situations in which he or she is not the center of attention Interaction with others is often characterized by inappropriate sexually seductive or provocative behavior Displays rapidly shifting and shallow expression of emotionsConsistently uses physical appearance to draw attention to selfHas a style of speech that is excessively impressionistic and lacking in detailShows self-dramatization, theatricality, and exaggerated expression of emotion Is suggestible (i.e. - easily influenced by others or circumstances) Considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually areWhat are the signs and symptoms of histrionic personality disorder?Personality disorders, including histrionic personality disorder, are among the least understood mental health conditions.Studies that have been done about histrionic and other personality disorders have identified several factors that may lead to the development of histrionic or other personality disorders:Genetics: Histrionic personality disorder tends to run in families, so scientists think there may be a genetic (inherited) link.Childhood trauma: Children may cope with trauma, such as child abuse or the death of a family member, that later as an adult may be disruptive or problematic in their life and become part of a personality disorder.Parenting styles: Children who experience parenting styles that lack boundaries, are over-indulgent or inconsistent may be more likely to develop histrionic personality disorder. In addition, parents who display dramatic, erratic, volatile or inappropriate sexual behavior put their children at risk for developing this condition. Some researchers think that problems in parent-child relationships lead to the characteristic low self-esteem in people with HPD.How is histrionic personality disorder diagnosed?Past history.RelationshipsPrevious work history.Reality testing.Impulse control.Personality continues to evolve throughout child and adolescent development. Because of this, healthcare providers don’t typically diagnose someone with histrionic personality disorder until after the age of 18.Personality disorders, including histrionic personality disorder, can be difficult to diagnose since most people with a personality disorder don’t think there’s a problem with their behavior or way of thinking. When they do seek help, it’s often due to conditions such as anxiety or depression due to the problems created by their personality disorder, such as divorce or lost relationships, and not the disorder itself. When a mental health professional, such as a psychologist or psychiatrist, suspects someone might have histrionic personality disorder, they often ask broad, general questions that won’t create a defensive response or hostile environment. They ask questions that will shed light on:Because a person suspected of having histrionic personality disorder may lack awareness of their behaviors, mental health professionals might ask to collect information from the person’s family and friends.Mental health providers base a diagnosis of histrionic personality disorder on the criteria for the condition in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. To learn about “Management and Treatment, “Prevention”, “Outlook / Prognosis / Complications” visit Cleveland Clinics website:: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/9743-histrionic-personality-disorder Important Links:

More specifically, Borderline Personality Disorder is characterized by instability in relationships, self-image, emotions, and behavior (impulsivity).Criteria for diagnosis:1. Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.2. A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.3. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.4. Impulsivity in at least two potentially self-damaging areas (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).5. Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures or threats, or self-mutilating behavior.6. Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and rarely more than a few days).7. Chronic feelings of emptiness.8. Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights).9. Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.PBD is a most commonly a trauma/PTSD based disorder.Another cause of BPD is learned behavior from having a parent with BPD or other serious mental health disorder such as bipolar disorder or substance abuse.About 70% of diagnosed patients are female. 6.2% female and 5.6% male.People with BPD tend to use the diagnosis as an excuse for their behavior. It is an explanation NOT an excuse.Relationship push and pull (Hot and cold)Views the world in extremes (Black or white thinking)Everyone feels they must walk on eggshells around someone with BPD because they are prone to explosiveness. They tend to manipulate othersCommon self harming behaviors: cutting, scratching, substance abuse, dangerous sex, dangerous sexual situations, starting verbal and physical altercations,Uncommon self harming behaviors: Pulling out their own hair (Trichotillomania)Medication can assist with symptoms such as depression and anxiety but do nothing for the behavioral symptoms of the disorder.Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) (Recognized as the best treatment for BPD):the core principles of DBT – dialectical thinking, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness – provide a comprehensive framework for helping individuals achieve emotional balance, develop meaningful relationships, and navigate life's challenges with resilience.“5 Signs You Might Be a Drama Queen” by Claire Jack Ph.D.Borderline Personality DIsorder (BPD):What to know about people with BPD:Treatment Options:Dialectical thinking is the ability to view issues from multiple perspectives and to arrive at the most economical and reasonable reconciliation of seemingly contradictory information and postures.

    - Text your questions and comments to 865-268-4005 or visit the Krypt at https://kuldrinskrypt.com.- In this episode, by request, we are talking about human furniture play.- Rules to Love By: (https://inclusionwoodworks.com)Safe, sane, consensual, and informedKNKI: Knowledge, No Intolerance, Kindness, Integrity“Submission is not about authority and it’s not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.” -Wm. Paul Young- “Human Furniture: What, Why, and How?-S05E18”Human furniture refers to a practice within the BDSM community where a person acts as an object or piece of furniture for another individual's use or pleasure. This practice involves a consensual and negotiated power exchange dynamic where one person willingly takes on the role of being used as an object or piece of furniture by another person or group. The person might be positioned or manipulated to resemble furniture, such as becoming a footstool, table, chair, or any other household item. The submissive might be required to hold a specific pose or position for a certain period, providing physical support or serving as a surface for the dominant person's comfort or convenience.Participation in human furniture kink, like many other activities within BDSM or fetish communities, can be motivated by a variety of psychological factors and individual desires. Here are a few potential reasons:Power Dynamics: For some, assuming the role of human furniture can be a way to explore power dynamics. Both the person taking on the role of furniture and the person using them may find pleasure in the exchange of power and control.Sensory Stimulation: Engaging in this kink might provide intense sensory experiences. For some individuals, being in a static position or role could create physical sensations or mental states that are stimulating or arousing.Role-Playing and Fantasy: Like many BDSM activities, human furniture play can involve role-playing and fulfilling specific fantasies. It could be a form of escapism or a way to explore desires that are not easily expressed in everyday life.Exploration and Experimentation: Engaging in unconventional or taboo activities like this can be a way for some to explore their own boundaries, desires, and limits within a safe and consensual context.Connection and Intimacy: It might also serve as a means of connection and intimacy between partners. Trust and communication are crucial in these scenarios, and the level of intimacy can deepen as participants engage in a vulnerable yet controlled environment.Crafting a human furniture scene: Like all scenes, there are eight basic steps to follow to help mitigate risks and increase rewards. A few of the most important things to remember are to communicate thoroughly, go slow, and don’t expect yourself or someone else to be a table for hours on end at the start. Like kneeling, impact play, bondage, and most other types of play, a person needs to build stamina through practice.Communication and Consent: Start by discussing interests, desires, and limits with your partner(s). Clearly express what you're comfortable with and what you're interested in exploring. This includes the roles, positions, intensity of the play, medical conditions, medications, and psychological issues and needs.Establish Safe Words and Signals: Agree upon a safe word or signal that anyone involved can use to pause or stop the role play if they feel uncomfortable or need a break. Safety and consent are paramount.Define Roles and Scenarios: Decide who will take on the role of the human furniture and who will be the user. Discuss the specifics of the scene, including the type of furniture the submissive person will portray and the expectations regarding behavior and interaction.Set Up a Safe Space: Choose a safe and comfortable space for the role play. Ensure the area is free of potential hazards, and have any necessary equipment or padding to ensure the comfort and safety of the human furniture.Agree on Boundaries and Limits: Clearly establish boundaries and limits for the scene. Discuss what is acceptable and what is not, and ensure everyone involved understands and respects these boundaries.Consent to Physical Contact: Define the level of physical contact allowed during the role play. Some scenarios may involve touch or manipulation to position the human furniture, so make sure everyone consents to and is comfortable with the agreed-upon physical contact.Engage in the Role Play: Once everything is discussed and agreed upon, start the role play. Maintain open communication throughout the scene and regularly check in with each other to ensure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves.Aftercare: After the role play, engage in aftercare. This involves providing emotional support, reassurance, and comfort to each other. It's a crucial part of the experience, allowing participants to decompress and reconnect after intense or vulnerable moments. It's important to note that the motivations behind participating in human furniture kink, or any other BDSM-related activity, vary widely among individuals. Each person's preferences, desires, and reasons for engaging in such activities can differ significantly, and there is no single explanation that applies to everyone. The key aspect in these scenarios is mutual consent, communication, and respect for boundaries. What is human furniture? Why?Important Links:

Of more than 3,000 women who use online dating apps, more than half said they had experienced a violent or degrading act that hadn’t been agreed upon with prior consent.

As BDSM grows in popularity thanks to kinky dating apps, sex clubs and movies like Fifty Shades hitting the mainstream, knowing how to practice kink safely is more important than ever. According to Bedbible, ownership of BDSM equipment, such as ropes and whips, has increased, with 23% having used some form in 2023 compared to only 14% in 2017. So, if you’re planning to allow someone to tie you up because it turns you on, it’s vital that you feel safe.
Kink, arguably, is not something that should be practiced with a stranger as it requires a level of trust and a clear understanding of your partner’s interests, intentions and boundaries. However, the internet is a great place to connect with like-minded people who might be into the same stuff as you or have the same sexual fantasies, and that’s why kinky dating apps work so well.
"In the diverse landscape of alternative relationship dating, these statistics underscore the importance of constant evolution and vigilant safety measures,” says John Martinuk, the founder of KinkD. “Our commitment isn't just to connect individuals with shared interests but to ensure that their interactions remain consensual and secure.
"The kink community is serious about safety, but if you’re new to it, how are you supposed to know who is a safe person to hook up with and who isn’t, and whether someone is being honest about their level of experience?
If you’re looking to broaden your horizons and you’re curious about BDSM or trying new kinks or rough sex, there are several things you need to bear in mind before you dive in. This checklist isn’t just about personal responsibility, it’s about ensuring your partner knows the importance of personal respect, safety and boundaries, and the consequences of ignoring these things too.
Always have a conversation with your partner before a “scene”, especially if you’re meeting them for the first time. Discuss what you would like to happen, step by step and that any deviations from the plan that haven’t been discussed will require consent before they happen.
Agree on a safeword and agree that you’ll use the traffic light system during the session. If something traumatic is happening to you, a common response is to freeze, which makes using your words a challenge. So make sure your partner knows your hand signals too.

It’s also important to state before anything happens that you expect the other person to respect you and your boundaries, and if they don’t or if they intend to hurt you, that person will be responsible. Ask them if they’re aware of the laws around consent and if they’re happy to proceed.

68% is a shocking number and with BDSM and kink on the rise in the bedroom – and why not, it can be very fun when practiced properly – it’s up to everyone taking part to have a conversation about consent before, during and after sex.

Exploring the world of BDSM can be an exciting and fulfilling journey for individuals who are open to exploring their deepest desires. Within the realm of BDSM, there are numerous activities and practices that cater to various interests, one of which is depth play. In this article, we will delve into the concept of depth play, its purpose, and common FAQs associated with it.
    What Is Depth Play?
Depth play is a term used to describe a specific type of BDSM activity that focuses on exploring intense psychological and emotional experiences. It involves delving into the depths of one’s mind and emotions to create intense connections and sensations. Depth play can encompass a wide range of activities, such as intense role-playing scenarios, mind games, sensory deprivation, and more.
    The Purpose of Depth Play:
The primary purpose of depth play is to challenge and explore the psychological and emotional aspects of BDSM. It allows participants to push their boundaries, experience intense emotions, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their partners. Depth play can create a strong sense of vulnerability, trust, and connection between individuals involved.
    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

    - Is depth play only for experienced BDSM practitioners? No, depth play can be enjoyed by individuals at any level of experience. However, it is crucial to have open and honest communication with your partner(s) and establish clear boundaries before engaging in any depth play activities.
    - Is depth play safe? Like any BDSM activity, safety is paramount. It is crucial to engage in depth play with a trusted partner(s) who respects your limits and consent. Establishing a safe word and practicing aftercare are essential aspects of ensuring a safe and consensual experience.
    - Are there any risks associated with depth play? While depth play can be emotionally intense, it is essential to engage in activities that are within your emotional and psychological limits. Pushing boundaries is encouraged, but it should be done gradually and with the utmost care, ensuring the well-being of all involved parties.
    - Can depth play be done in a long-distance relationship? Yes, depth play can be adapted to long-distance relationships through various means such as virtual role-playing, intense messaging, or webcam sessions. However, it is crucial to establish clear communication channels and ensure the emotional well-being of all parties involved.
    - What are some common activities involved in depth play? Common activities may include intense role-playing scenarios, psychological mind games, sensory deprivation, humiliation play, consensual non-consent, and more. The possibilities are extensive and depend on the interests and boundaries of the participants.
    - How can one prepare for depth play? Preparation for depth play involves open communication, establishing boundaries, and discussing desires, limits, and potential triggers with your partner(s). Engaging in aftercare activities, such as emotional support and debriefing, is also crucial for a positive experience.
    - Can depth play be therapeutic? For some individuals, depth play can be therapeutic, as it allows them to explore and process deep-seated emotions and desires in a safe and consensual environment. However, it is important to approach depth play with the understanding that it is not a substitute for professional therapy.
    - How can one ensure the emotional well-being of all parties involved? Open communication, consent, and aftercare are key to ensuring the emotional well-being of all parties involved. Regular check-ins, creating a safe and non-judgmental space, and establishing trust are crucial aspects of engaging in healthy depth play.
    - Can depth play be combined with other BDSM practices? Yes, depth play can be combined with a wide range of other BDSM practices, such as bondage, impact play, or sensory play. The key is to communicate and negotiate boundaries and desires with your partner(s) to create a mutually satisfying experience.
    - Are there any resources available for learning more about depth play? Yes, there are numerous resources available, including books, online forums, and educational workshops that delve into the concept of depth play. It is important to research and educate yourself before engaging in any new BDSM activity.
    - Can depth play be enjoyed by individuals who are not interested in pain or physical sensations? Yes, depth play is not solely focused on pain or physical sensations. It primarily focuses on exploring intense psychological and emotional experiences. It can be tailored to suit the interests and boundaries of all individuals involved.
    - Is depth play only for romantic partners? No, depth play can be enjoyed any individuals who have established trust and consent. It is not limited to romantic partners and can be experienced with friends or other trusted individuals.
    - Can depth play lead to long-term psychological effects? When practiced responsibly, depth play should not lead to long-term psychological effects. However, it is essential to be aware of personal limits, communicate openly, and prioritize self-care and emotional well-being during and after engaging in depth play activities.
In conclusion, depth play is a captivating and intense form of BDSM that focuses on exploring psychological and emotional experiences. It can be enjoyed by individuals at any level of experience, as long as there is open communication, consent, and a focus on personal and emotional well-being. Engaging in depth play can create profound connections, trust, and self-discovery, making it a powerful and fulfilling aspect of the BDSM world.

Paul Young- “So, You're Not Kinky, What Now?-S05E11”https://hellogiggles.com/i-tried-being-kinky/ By Katka Lapelosova April 16, 2023When it comes to sex, I am always interested in exploring new experiences and pushing the boundaries of what is considered normal. But as someone who has dedicated a majority of my adult life to researching and writing about and sex and relationships, I’m surprisingly not kinky.I’ve had hundreds of sex partners, yet I’ve always been a bit hesitant about venturing into the world of fetishes. A lot of my sexually liberated friends think you’re not really good at sex until you’ve tried everything in the book: sex parties, swinging, furries, pony play, wax play
the list goes on and on.But sometimes I get overwhelmed just visiting a sex shop. Will a latex bodysuit chafe my nipples? How many calories are in edible panties? Does a leather whip really need a bluetooth speaker? And then there’s the question of why even bother with all this off-the-wall stuff when the simple act itself is pretty damn good. My therapist once told me kink is always rooted in something much deeper than the act of sex itself.“It’s why all these CEOs are into dominatrixes and humiliation,” she explained. “They spend their days screaming at lower level employees and manipulating people into doing what they need to build their business. They want to be dommed because they want someone else to make the decisions for once.”I certainly am not looking to sex to alleviate work-related imbalances. But I did wonder, am I really not sexually adventurous if I’m kink-averse? Am I missing out? I decided to explore it more, and this is what I learned.
    Apparently, butt stuff isn’t kinky
BDSM is such a head trip
    Costumes are expensive
.And then there are some things I just flat out won’t doI
Stop telling me I’ll “find my kink” eventually

End It!-S05E10”https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2023/jun/23/i-am-kinky-but-my-partner-is-not-should-i-end-our-secure-loving-relationship“Every relationship involves sacrifices, writes advice columnist Eleanor Gordon-Smith. But yours might not be as fulfilling as you think – for either partyTalk about Stephen Ing’s “Your magic sex number” and personal experiences to intro the topic.“I am kinky but my partner is not. Should I end our secure, loving relationship?” by Eleanor Gordon-Smith Thu 22 Jun 2023I have been in a loving relationship for three years. When I first met him, I told a close friend that I thought I’d met the love of my life. That initial infatuation gave way to a more realistic affection, but he’s smart, handsome and caring. I enjoy our time together and feel secure and trusting.
Sexually, things were enjoyable at the beginning. That calmed down into a less frantic dynamic but we still have sex once per week.I am kinky and he is not. We have discussed this and he doesn’t feel comfortable doing the things that I enjoy.
Initially, I thought this would be OK – relationships always have compromise – but as time has gone on I am not sure it is something I can forgo. He has made clear that an open relationship would not be acceptable to him.I have an anonymous online profile on a kink dating site. I started talking with someone who shared my interests. We met, and the sexual encounter was satisfying to a level I have never experienced before. We have continued to meet on a weekly basis for six months. Neither party knows about the other.I do not want to end my relationship, but I cannot live without this aspect of my sexuality. I feel guilt about being unfaithful but exploring in this way has enabled me to stay in the relationship.
Should I leave my partner because of the gap between our sexual tastes? Should I give up my kink desires for what is otherwise a relationship I would have no reason to leave?
My boyfriend’s aggressive dog has stalled our plans to move in together. How can we move forward?
Eleanor says: Listen, it’s fine to feel that this part of your sexuality is something you can’t live without. It’s also fine to decide that a relationship isn’t going to work because of that. We get to leave relationships when staying would mean being bereft over missing out on something. That doesn’t get less true just because the thing in question is sexual. You could leave if you wanted kids and your partner didn’t; if you wanted to live in a particular country and your partner didn’t. Continuing a relationship isn’t just a question of whether you like this person, it’s a question of whether your lives can really dovetail.
But what’s never going to be fine is continually deceiving your partner into staying in a relationship that isn’t the way they think it is or the way they want it to be. You say your partner has been clear that he wouldn’t be alright with an open relationship. Unbeknown to him, though, he’s already been in one, and continuing these meetups is continuing to keep him in an arrangement you know he wouldn’t be OK with.
Your partner will be making sacrifices to be in this relationship. They might differ from the sacrifices you make in their content and exact contours, but all of us change our lives and reorder our priorities to be in a relationship. So far as I can tell, you’re accepting this person’s sacrifices – monogamy, commitment, support, cooperation, friendship. He’s making considerable alterations to his life in order to have a certain kind of relationship with you, which, in fact, he isn’t getting.
It is not deviant or selfish to decide that you have to have this part of yourself satisfied. For many of us, sexuality isn’t an optional extra to a life well-lived, it’s just as crucial an ingredient in wellbeing as friends or exercise or time with family. The fact that it’s called “kink” and gets relegated to the sidelines of subculture doesn’t mean you have to relegate it to the sidelines of your life.
But it’s just never going to be the case that the best thing to do would be to carry on deceiving someone who you respect. Quite aside from the obvious unfairness, it also won’t get you what you want – not really. You want to feel electric. You don’t want to keep this part of yourself separate from the rest of your life forever, so that it’s always wrapped up with splintering; with concealment.
You said that, this aside, you’d have no reason to leave. As I see it, though, you do have a reason to leave: the fact that if you stay, you’ll be deciding your partner should remain in a relationship of significant deceit instead of finding someone whose preferences about sex and monogamy really do align with his. Whether to end this relationship isn’t just a question of, as you put it, what you want.”

    - Text your questions and comments to 865-268-4005 or visit the Krypt at https://kuldrinskrypt.com.- In this episode, we are talking about one of my favorite things-edging.- Rules to Love By: (https://inclusionwoodworks.com)1: Safe, sane, consensual, and informed2: KNKI: Knowledge, No Intolerance, Kindness, Integrity3: “Submission is not about authority and it’s not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.” -Wm. Paul Young- “A Guide to Edging-S05E08”Delayed gratification: Building up to orgasm and repeatedly backing off builds up the physical, mental, and emotional anticipation typically resulting in harder, longer, and more fulfilling orgasms.Control: It is very common in BDSM play for the Dom(me) to deny or edge a submissive. Denial of a basic animalistic urge can be an extremely intoxicating type of controlAwareness: Edging tends to make people more self-aware of their bodies and minds involving their orgasmic state and how things like breathing and internal thoughts add to or take away from their orgasms. They can then apply that knowledge to other sexual experiences when not edging to provide similar results.According to Anne Russo, LCSW, “edging involves building up to orgasm and then slowing down or taking breaks before you or your partner reach climax. The process, sometimes called “surfing” or “peaking,” can increase blood flow to the genitals to enhance arousal. This can create a lot of sexual tension and excitement, which can lead to a really intense and pleasurable orgasm. It’s like a rollercoaster ride for your body.”The prolonged release of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, testosterone, and estrogen can provide a much deeper and longer-lasting euphoric state.Addiction: due to the release of neurotransmitters and hormones it is an easily addictive behavior.Loss of orgasm: This can happen once (common), often (common), or permanently (rare). There is a fine line between an edging, a denied, and a ruined orgasm. Many people if edged too long can become so mentally frustrated that it gets in the way of the physical release. Some people start requiring longer and longer “rollercoaster rides” to get the same level of chemical release. If this is constantly being fed, the mind and body will become programmed through classic conditioning and won’t be able to get enough to complete the release. You will easily recognize this happening and you know to take a few weeks or even a few months from all sexual activity to allow for a reset. It’s also advised to seek help from a professional therapist or psychologist who specializes in sexual addictions and dysfunctions.Diminished or loss of genital sensitivity: On average it takes women 20 minutes to climax and men 2-10 minutes. Think about the amount of stimulation that it takes for an hour, two-hour, or ten-hour “rollercoaster ride” of edging! Now, multiply that by the average number of times a person masturbates and has sex a week. I don’t have those figures but that’s got to be a metric shit-ton. The nerves are so sensitive that prolonged, intense stimulation can cause them to dull. This can make it difficult, hard, or even impossible to orgasm. The numbers game: rating the pleasure intensity on a scale from 0-10 and picking numbers or rolling dice for pleasure peaks and valleys. How close can you get? Pushing for the exact edge of climax without going over.Ejaculating without orgasm: Running a man to edge of climax and then removing all stimulation can cause men to ejaculate without the full body orgasm. This often means no loss of erection and further build-ups to finally achieve climax is possible.A great article on edging by Tianna Soto: https://stylecaster.com/lifestyle/love-sex/1388127/what-is-edging/What is edging? Edging, peaking, or surfing is a sexual technique whereby an orgasm is controlled for the purpose of prolonged pleasure and/or agony, It can be performed alone or with a partner and involves the maintenance of a high level of sexual arousal for an extended period without reaching climax. Why?How does it work?Who’s it for? Everyone, right?!?! Well, no. I haven’t been able to find any statistics I trust so basing it only on my personal experiences, I’d say half or most people have stronger, longer-lasting orgasms from edging, around 20% have mixed results, and 20% have consistently diminished orgasmic experiences.Risks? How? Easy! First, if doing this with a partner, talk about it thoroughly and openly. Make sure everyone is on board, consent is agreed upon, and an easy safe word is known. Bring yourself or your partner to the brink of orgasm and slow down, stop, or move the focal point of stimulation to another part of the body. Do this as many times as desired or until a safe word is called. Be sure to talk about what that safe word means. Does it mean all sexual contact must stop? Is it a way to say “I can’t take it anymore! I need to cum NOW!” or does it indicate a need to check in and see which one the person wants. I prefer that “yellow” means “check in with me”, “May I PLEASE cum, Sir” tells me she’s had enough and want to be finished off, and “red” means all activity stops, I check on their physical, mental, and emotional safety, provide any medical attention, support, food, drink, or space needed, and enter in to aftercare. It is not the time for 20 questions of “Why did you call red?!?!?!” They will get to that. It is time to make sure your partner feels and is safe.Games:Important Links:

Paul Young- “Most Things to Know About BDSM Brats-S05E07”“A beginner's guide to being a 'brat' in BDSM”By: Gigi Engle on April 20,, 2023https://mashable.com/article/bdsm-brats-explained -What is a brat?“Make me.” According to the Fetlife Kinktionairy, a brat is defined as “A person who likes to exhibit one or more of the following behaviors: teasing, playful, sneaky, mischievous, stubborn, rebellious, disrespectful, or disobedient. This behavior may be a component of their power exchange relationship and should be consented to beforehand”Emerson Karsh, a kink educator, said “A "brat" is a delightfully disobedient sub within the Dom/sub dynamic in BDSM. "Brats enjoy questioning dominance, as well as like for dominance to be proven to them."- Why would you want to be a brat during play or sex? Why wouldn't you? Being cheeky, disobedient, snarky, and naughty can be fun. It creates a sense of playfulness that is often missing in sex. Being a brat is a very fun way to engage with your submissive side, without being a stereotypical sub. Brats are mouthy, badly behaved, and keen on punishment."Brats get great enjoyment from playing [a game of] cat and mouse, defying authority, and in turn receiving a ‘punishment’ from their Brat Tamer," explains Julieta Chiaramonte, another kink instructor and sex expert. If you’re turned on by disobedience, this might be something you want to explore.-What it means to be a 'brat.'The brat can be a very fun submissive persona. A brat intentionally misbehaves in order to get a rise out of their Dom, often eliciting "punishments." The brat enjoys driving the Dom a bit mad with their naughtiness. It’s all centered around defying authority, which can be very hot.A brat will taunt, push boundaries, and test their Dom’s limits and patience in hopes of causing a reaction. The Brat Tamer/brat dynamic is typically very playful and easily adjusted for nearly any consenting dynamic. -How is this submission?Brats offer their submission in a way that is amusing, consensual, and done for a reaction. You’re not being obedient in the traditional D/s way, but a brat will submit when their Dom decides to punish them.-The Dom is the 'brat tamer.'They may choose to go by a different name like Sir, Daddy, Mommy,or whatever but the brat tamer is their style of Domination.Their 'role' is to put their brat in their place, remind them of the rules, and enforce punishments and order that was negotiated. While it may not appear like it to some Brat Tamer is an authoritative and patient role that one must be comfortable and confident with accepting.Brat Tamer is not a soft roll. You can not be afraid to put your foot down. It takes a lot of skill and development. You have to hone your skills in giving your brat space to be a brat and maintain a healthy power exchange. It could be through punishments, orders, ignoring the brat or the behavior, or something else.-How brats act out and how they get punished.Ask a thousand people and get a thousand answers. However, here are a few common examples for each:Verbally:Make me.That’s all?You can do better than that. You can’t make me.Oh, yeah? What’s the worst that can happen?Prove it.BehaviorallyThrowing thingsSitting down when told to “come here”Punishments Spankings.Orgasm denial.Forced silence.Getting walked like a puppy.Forced orgasm.Bondage.Tickling.Being put in a cage.-How to engage in brat play in a safe way.Do your research.Communication and consent.Pick a safe word.Start Low Go SlowDon’t be afraid to get creative. When von Kafft-Ebing first began labeling various paraphilic sexual interests, they were believed to be generally rare. But research by Joyal and Carpentier reports that nearly 50 percent of a non-clinical, random sample disclosed being interested in at least one sexual behavior historically deemed unusual or anomalous.Criminal Conflict With BDSM
