This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from myself, Dr. Robin. I say:
“If you're afraid to start something new or make a career transition, know that it's okay to start afraid. Do it afraid. Just start. Do something, and it will get you on your way.”
I’m celebrating the 200th episode of Leadership Purpose with Dr. Robin, and kicking off season 5 with a renewed focus on the stories of high-achieving women who’ve made bold career transitions in pursuit of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Whether you’re just beginning your career, in the midst of a pivot, or considering a late-career shift, this season is here to encourage and inspire your journey toward work that aligns with who you are.
In this special episode, I reflect on the three biggest lessons I’ve learned over the past 200 episodes. These aren’t just podcasting tips, they’re life lessons for anyone who feels the pull to create a more meaningful career. Here’s what I’ve discovered along the way:

If you’re ready to embrace your own journey of purpose, I hope this episode brings you the inspiration to keep moving, keep learning, and keep showing up, even if it means doing it afraid.
And, if you’ve been thinking about starting your own podcast and could use some guidance, my podcast manager, Lynda, has space for one or two new clients. She’s an amazing resource for helping you get started, you’ll find her links below.

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Christina Woods. She says –
“Follow your intuition. But you have to have boundaries to follow your intuition. So what I mean by that is if you are cluttered with chaos, you cannot tune into your intuition. So having boundaries, self-care, a little quiet space, practice to allow yourself to let what you hear move through your heart and not your head. Your head doesn’t have a lot of answers. As high achieving women, we tend to think, let me sound smart. Okay? No. The answers come through your intuition, your inner compass. You have known your whole life what feels right and aligned, and your wisdom will guide you.”
Christina Woods is an internationally recognized clinical hypnotherapist who helps smart, spiritually open women tap into their inner strength and wisdom. She empowers them to set healthy boundaries and build purpose-driven, fulfilling lives. In this episode, Christina shares her personal journey, from being a high-powered corporate VP to finding alignment with her true purpose through hypnotherapy and energy healing. She also explains how hypnotherapy can help women shed limiting beliefs and reconnect with their intuition to create lasting change.
Here are 3 reasons why you should listen to this episode:
Learn how to quiet the noise of daily life so you can hear your intuition and make decisions that align with your values.
Discover why high achieving women often struggle with imposter syndrome and how hypnotherapy can help resolve it.

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Else Johnson. She says -
“I think fundamentally, the first thing that she has to do is accept the fact that she deserves it. So many women, especially high achieving women that I speak with, they're like, yeah. Else Johnson is a mindset expert and speaker who helps high-achieving executives and entrepreneurs get back on track and reignite the passions they once had so they can experience more purpose and fulfillment in their businesses and lives. Else understands that highly driven leaders often feel they're not fulfilling their highest potential, and she is committed to changing that through her business, Else Johnson Coaching and Consulting, LLC.

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Diana Daniele. She says -
We are helping others and that our words are like pearls to them.
“There's a danger with everyone turning to you where you feel like you're giving, giving, giving, and you're kind of giving yourself away and that you don't have any time just for you because people are kind of knocking down your door, and you have to figure out your own path. But I think if we women see that when someone's turning to us, that that is empowering and that we are helping others and that our words are like pearls to them and they are holding them and they are beholding them and treasuring them, that there's a lot of bang for that buck.”
Diana is a tireless advocate for invisible illness and mental health, and she is a writer and publicist living in Los Angeles. And in addition to writing about mental health and invisible illness, she writes about female friendship and family dynamics for publications like Newsweek and Business Insider.
Diana is also currently writing a book entitled Damn Girl. It's a miraculous memoir of motherhood, migraine, and madness, which was recently long listed in the Tall Poppy Writers Contest.
In this episode we discussed:
her miraculous healing of chronic migraines and hearing of her resilience and the power of never giving up on yourself how Diana’s insights about living with invisible illness led to her advocating for mental health, especially among adolescents the importance of women supporting women and nurturing those female friendships that help us through any life challenges

We just need to stop and listen to ourselves.

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Dr Gena C Lovett. She says -
When I discovered the power of my village, the load was shared.
“I would ask myself, what is it that I really like doing? What do I like doing? Not so much a worry of, am I good at it, because it's my belief that if you really like something, if you're really passionate about it, you accomplish that, you find a way to do it. And then the other thing, and they've been very helpful for me, is my village. Who is her village? You'd be surprised, and I was that person for many years that had just myself. When I discovered the power of my village, the load was shared. Because let's face it, a lot of times at work, you know, we're doing well. It helps to have that village around you to understand, you know, and keep you grounded, to someone to have your back, someone to tell you the truth. I cannot stress enough the importance of that.”
Dr. Gena C Lovett, PhD is a speaker, executive consultant, and author of the book C Suite Quotient, The 8 C Suite Behaviors That Propel a Leadership Culture.
