Today we have a solo episode on all things HABITS.
Everywhere we look, people are preaching about the power of their daily habits...
What's often forgotten is that the habits themselves aren't the key to change. What actually matters is that you're ready to step into your power and embrace change (whilst sticking to the habits). This is what leads to lasting transformation.
In this episode, we discuss the habits that have changed my life and the routines I have in place to show up as my best each and every day.
Like anything, navigating this is a lifelong journey! It's something I am committed to getting better at everyday.
Let's explore it together.

Bowel Cancer is the leading cause of death by cancer in people aged 25-50 years old in Australia.
Being diagnosed as terminally ill at 3 months postpartum was not part of Kellie Finalyson's life plan.
Growing up as healthy and happy, Kellie notes that cancer symptoms might have existed for 5 years prior to her diagnosis, but were often passed off as "just part of being a woman."
Kellie had just welcomed her first child with her husband, Port Adelaide AFL player, Jeremy Finlayson. It was a time when she should have been enjoying the baby bubble and making special memories. Instead, she was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer, told to stop breastfeeding immediately and forced to fight for her life.
Today we discuss Kellie’s journey to being diagnosed including a colonoscopy that was cancelled 18 months prior.
She shares what it was like navigating her first year of motherhood whilst receiving chemotherapy at the same time, plus what it means to ‘trust your gut’ and the symptoms of bowel cancer that everyone should be aware of.

Her dream was to be a professional entertainer, training as a singer, dancer and actor- but this dream was left behind as she battled an eating disorder throughout her teenage years, which led her to turn to drugs and alcohol. 13 years later, after a divorce and a decade spent working in retail Alicia reclaimed her dream, embracing a total career change and becoming an indoor cycle coach - what she calls “her stage”.
After this episode you need to head to Instagram and see videos of Alicia instructing - you will understand that she was completely born for this! I love stories that showcase how despite our challenges, and the twists and turns life leads us on, we can always find our way back to ourselves.

This is Part 2 of my Solo Chat on Alcohol.
I always struggled with binge drinking, often brushing it off as just part of the Australian culture that normalises heavy drinking throughout your teen years and into your early twenties.
After hitting many breaking points, I realised that perhaps my relationship to alcohol wasn't one that was so 'normal'. I decided to confront my relationship with alcohol and so began a journey of sobriety - now entering into my 3rd year!
Today is honest, vulnerable and a true insight to what it has been like navigating life and social interactions without alcohol. One of the best decisions I have ever made to reclaim my mental and physical health, my identity and my life.
If you're new on the journey, just take one day at a time. It's always worth it.
