20:10 – We've got hotels for Haitians and and when we've got an open border again, no matter your political position. Okay, so all of this FEMA funding has been to support people that are not actually citizens of this country. Last time I checked, FEMA was paid for by me, a citizen. I want my tax dollars benefiting my fellow citizens who are struggling first.
31:30 – Why are we even talking about $750 a citizen right now? Granted, I'm not a FEMA trained person, but all you did was light a fire in people, because they heard how small the dollar amount was. You need to take every dollar you got and send convoys of supplies, generators, etc. to help get people back to a healthy state of life. It's not even a level playing field right now.
48:30 – A lot of people are like, well, my work or my life doesn't fulfill me. Well, then go earn the money so that you can go do the things to fulfill you. If people are always trying to find purpose, our work will never be done. People always trying to find purpose. I like having purpose in my work, and I really enjoy what I do.
01:01:55 – Final Words
It's a shame these natural disasters are always going to happen. It's a shame that this one is the worst in recorded history. I think it's a blessing too, because we get the opportunity to take care of each...

28:55 – So I interviewed Michael Easter, author of The Comfort Crisis on my podcast, and great book for listeners, very good. And he had this concept of you're familiar with called the misogi. And it's this idea, it's this Japanese term that relates, that references sort of cleansing, and it's evolved to mean sort of doing something very hard, where you come out the other side cleansed as a new person. And so this Misogi, there's two rules of the...

Chuck Returns To Discuss A Theme On Doing The Right Thing, Taking Initiative, and Community Support:
Chuck Wood returns for a monthly check-in so we can hit on a variety of topics. On this episode we discuss some family drama, personal accountability, and even minor points around political issues. Chuck shares his experiences with family members in trouble and the importance of personal responsibility which Scott agrees on for success in life. They discuss the challenges of parenting and the role of teachers versus parents in children's lives. The conversation also touches on political activism, with Chuck planning to address school policies at a local school board meeting. They emphasize the need for parents to take action and not rely on others to solve problems. Towards the end we even hit on the simple kindness act of clearing a road to help stranded drivers. An important highlight around the importance of taking initiative and community support.

21:30 – So we'll get into local Utah school politics a little bit. There was an article published in the National Review, and it pointed out that two school districts here in Utah had adopted policies from the ACLU that said that teachers should not inform parents if a child decides to transition their sex. This issue is going viral right now and everybody's talking, but teachers are not the parents. I'm the parent. I created that human or adopted that human being, and have full responsibility for that human being.
43:15 – This all comes back to just one or two general principles, and simplified, it's just responsibility. I mean, my brother's in jail because he didn't show up to a court hearing, and he wants us to bail us out?!
01:02:00 – Final Words
Just take responsibility for where you want to end up, and recognize that you have that same responsibility for your kids.

25:50 – How do we set our priorities? What is that focus, right? I've got my health figured out. You know, I'm healthy, I'm happy. So now I can pour into somebody else's cup, if that makes sense...
55:00 – Final Words
I think what triggered a lot of this was just that I realized that I was stressed out and unhappy. So if you're stressed out and unhappy, there's a reason why, right? I'm not painting this as you need to pivot your life. But maybe there's some minor change, and you keep doing what you're doing in a different way. The thing is, when I was working full time jobs, by the time I was considering whether or not it was worth jumping ship or trying to fix whatever was wrong, wherever I was, I've learned that it was just time to jump ship. The thing is, is just sit down and yeah, figure out, okay, well, what is it that I really want?

04:40 – Very few people get that like, I love failure, like failure is my friend. In fact, I've failed more times at most things and most people that I know probably other than you, I think you're a bigger failure than I am.
13:30 – Things that I learned from skydiving. One is that courage credits don't transfer. Courage credits don't transfer, you can't go skydiving to abolish all of your fears. All it's going to do is going to abolish your fear of skydiving? There's not one thing you can do that's going to transform everything. What you can do is begin to chip away at your own resistance to doing new things. So the current credits don't transfer but the practice of doing new things helps overall.
19:00 – When you do something a lot, it gets easier, like there is nothing that you do a lot of that you get worse at. I mean, you'd have to try. So whatever it is that you struggle with, that you're resistant to understand that, there is something really cool on the other side of it.
32:00 – A friend of mine is actually a rocket scientist and he says they are not that smart. But the thing that I am doing now, is I'm focused on teaching people a method of not a method, a culture of selling, that are called selling authentically. The reason it's a culture and not a method or a tool or a trick is because it's exactly what you and I are doing right now we're having an authentic conversation. Like there is no script here.
45:40 – It is my mission and intention that everybody leaves a conversation with me in a better space. Whether we end up working together or not.
47:30 – Everything that we have been talking about, is about betraying your own internal stories that tell you to not do...

05:45– One of the biggest hurdles I had to get over was the sound of my own voice. So I recorded myself giving presentations while driving my truck, in front of a mirror, etc. I did 52 weeks of recording driving to work and I made sure I did it every week, for a year straight. Not for content creation and not for anybody else. Yes, there was good content there and I would make sure I posted on YouTube, even before I went into the office.
12:30 – As a coach, in both the mindset life coaching part of my business and the fitness part of my business, it doesn't matter what side of the spectrum you're on, you got to listen to your client first.
43:30 – I work only with the lifestyle mindset coaching side of things, I don't coach them in fitness. I coach them on their lives. We work through the victim mentality and impostor syndrome. Soft talking through the past experiences and the story work. These things take up space in us. We don't realize they're taking up space in us which means we can't bring in new positive experiences. Because this something that is still holding on to us from the past, that we haven't learned to express or let go of or deal with. It's blocking us from moving forward. This happened to me, the reason I am more successful now than I was four years ago, is because four years ago, I had a block. I knew I had a block.
50:00 – I am often focused on the mindset coaching and lifestyle coaching which are my passions that I do outside of the gym. You have to be ready for those conversations. I had a local business that hired me and it was a six week program where I brought them through how to structure, how to plan, and they didn't respond well to the one the week with what I had designed. They all bottled up got really closed off. It was a big time tough room. I felt it and you could feel that in the owner too. So I pivoted and I flipped the script.
01:17:30 – Final Words
That's probably why I came out so happy today. It's one of the things why I shut my mind off for an hour. I focused on whether I was not flat footed or was on my toes or rotating enough. Or like how I was striking or if I was connected to every movement I did. I was listening and learning and taking criticism. It was awesome.
That's pretty cool and more people need to experience that. That feeling to just be centered and...

14:30 – I've seen the Carnivore Lifestyle help a lot of people. I think it's important to get that message out to as many people as possible. You will get people saying whatever the hell they want to say, in a very negative fashion, but it's a vast minority of people. The vast majority of people tell me about how much better they are, how many illnesses they've fixed. They tell me how their dad's out of a nursing home and is able to live on his own again, and that he's off all his medications. Or how someone underweight has put on weight after living very frail and skinny and now he's putting on muscle again. Just like other people are losing excess weight, they're feeling much better, and their diabetes is gone, their acid reflux is gone. These diseases that were just crippling people and crippling society, they just go away in a realist and short period of time.
17:50 – Aspartame is on the carcinogen list for years now. I heard that when I was a kid in the 1980's. It was mentioned casually, like, hey that might cause cancer, or might be involved in it, or something like that. So this has been...

03:45 – Brad has always been like a big brother to me. He has been in my wedding. He's just been a mentor and someone that I've always looked up to. Just in his character, his discipline, and the way that he carries himself in all facets of his life. Including you, we're products of personal development. It's something that I eat, sleep, breathe, and my life is a direct reflection of the time and attention and resources that I've invested into my mindset.

300lbs Released, Not Aerodynamic, Yet, but a Hell of a Redesign:
My name is Scott King 46 years old. Huge all my life. In 2006 I had gastric bypass. Day of surgery I was 552lbs. Lost weight but as these surgeries seem to go I gained all my weight back. I tried to have gastric again and was denied. I heard Vinnie Tortorich on the Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew show and as a last ditch effort I tried NSNG. I have lost 300lbs from it. Never been healthier. I have set my unicorn of all goals and that's the Ironman Texas in 2025. I hope this journey inspires the hopeless to take a change and encourage others.

04:40 – I've always been a strong swimmer. But as I got into triathlon training, I realized I was actually a strong floater, and I wasn't the strongest swimmer. That is, I was very buoyant and so I mistakenly thought that meant I was a good swimmer. That was a whole entire different beast and my first try was a pool swim, a short one, then you go into open water swim. That's a whole different animal too now that you got currents to deal with, even in a small body of water. It'll expose every flaw or weakness you have in any technique.
17:30 – I'm going to build up to that Ironman level of training. But with that comes incredible expenses. entry fees, all of that stuff. I mean, just simple stuff like hydration, nutrition, and that sort of thing. Buying shoes, because I'm a big guy, I wear out shoes, bicycle stuff, everything has a huge expense. Let's not forget I have three daughters. I've told Vinnie before I live in a trickle down economic system in my house, nothing trickles down to Dad, I'm the afterthought.
24:15 – I had gastric bypass back in 2006 and I lost a good chunk of weight. Like a lot of people though, I started putting the weight back on. Roughly, around 2016-17, I was pretty much back exactly to where I was when I had gastric bypass beforehand. So I've tried to have gastric bypass again, because oddly enough, and I say this in quotations if you can get both or whatever. It was the only thing that ever worked for me. Which is kind of ironic because I'm trying to have it again because it didn't work for me.
26:00 – So I downloaded a PDF, just saying screw it, I gotta check this No Sugar No Grains out. It was a simple list of don't do this, don't do that. I'm married, so I get this list, I'm pretty good at it, but I still didn't do anything about it. But one day, we were out front in the front yard. At the time, my two and a half year old daughter ran out to the street. I'll stop right now, nothing bad happened, because it's a very quiet street, but she was already in the road before I...

8:55 – I was already the vice chair of the county party. I took a leave of absence for three weeks and ran for office and then I didn't win. So now I'm back doing my prior role, so I've always kind of been in the political space. I've got people talking to me now about running for office next year. I don't know if I have another campaign in me.
16:40 – Now, one thing that our politicians in Utah do, though, is they want to show people they're doing stuff. So the last two or three days of the legislative session, they suspend the rules, and they'll pass like two or 300 bills in two or three days, which is nuts, because it's like, look, you haven't read them.
18:30 – I don't want to discount either the people who are just out there trying to live their life. I mean, if you're running a business, if you're out there, you're contributing to the world in a way that you're good at, and you get paid for. I mean, you're making a difference, too.
28:25 – Back to that idea of balance again. I don't I hate the word balanced, because people think of it as okay, I've got six things I'm trying to do. So I'm trying to keep the thing centered. I don't think that's realistic. But recognize what you're sacrificing over here to make progress over here. So that you don't ruin this column to gain in this column.
48:00 – I just finished phase one. Honestly, 30 days of phase one was harder than 75 days of 75 Hard. I'm doing phase two right after Thanksgiving. Because you have to wait 30 days, between phases. If you fail during those 30 days, there's no penalty, right? So are you going to do it just because? It's funny because some of the stuff like I'm not working out twice a day anymore, I just follow my regimen. I have a program that gives me workouts for my triathlon next year. I'm gonna do a half Ironman, that's my goal next year. So if there's one workout in the day, that's all I'm doing, right? But the deal is, is if you slack off some are you disciplined enough when it matters to kick it back in? So 30 days is enough time to really get out of the habit if you're not going to stick to it.
52:00 – Final Words
Well, it's interesting, because I was talking to somebody earlier today, and they pointed out that the market is tough, right? The dev market has just been for the people that are out there. You know, some of them have kind of been coasting, you know, got pretty comfortable. Then all of a sudden, the market is not as great you see stuff start to soften up. You see a bunch of people getting laid off. I mean, when we're talking about this level of personal excellence and stuff like that, it, it really comes down to if you're doing the work...

05:20 – I really wish I had been introduced to this 20 years ago as it would have saved me a lot of suffering. I suffer from a condition called tinnitus and it is a ringing in the ear. I maintain that condition and it was caused by eight years in the US Army,
12:00 – One of the things I try to get across the people every time I talked to them is that they need to guard their hearing. Some of the concussive sounds that I have heard in the Army with no hearing protection on the market would have helped or would have protected it to that degree. Did you know that I get letters every single week from dentists who are working on teeth and they were getting negative impacts from how the drills are resonating.
23:10 – I love most music, we all love to listen to whatever type of music it is we listen to. That is really the whole reason that we did Melody Clouds and put it together the way that we did. Once I was able to figure out, okay, this is how binaural beats work. Let's find out what other problems that binaural beats will help solve.
32:30 – The way that we've done it is I put all the binaural beats in a solfeggio and the guided meditations in one section. People who like binaural beats, they like the guided meditations and solfeggio has worked for them as well. They're familiar with it, and they know how that works. Now, the one thing I did was, add images, all of the images in Melody Clouds are award winning art and award winning photography.

On Today's Episode With Tyler of WeShape, He Reminds Us Of The Power Of A Healthy Mindset, Mindfulness, Self-Worth, And More:
Co-Founders, Katie and Tyler Bramlett started WeShape with the intention of advocating for women to stop focusing on the number on the scale and instead put their energy and efforts towards a more meaningful intention such as movement, rest, and a deeper connection with self. Their entire company and product is rooted in intention, movement, community, and beliefs. They have a passion for bringing awareness to the toxic expectations placed on women in the fitness industry, as well as the often overshadowed, yet pivotal roles women play in business and entrepreneurship.
Quote: "A Disciplined Mind Leads To Happiness, And An Undisciplined Mind Leads To Suffering ~ Dalai Lamahttps://youtu.be/VtKEo2GdpW4
05:15 – How do we give them the tools to go from unconsciously working out, like mindlessly exercising, it's the hammering away on the treadmill, while you're watching an episode of Oprah. Hitting the machines and not really dropping into your body or really experiencing movement. How do you actually learn how to mindfully move your body from the intention of wanting to care for your body, not from the intention of wanting to change the way you look? So you can get external validation and feel good about yourself? Right. So that's kind of how we got to here!
10:40 – I also think that if you surround yourself with people who are all stuck in the same toxic mindset, then you end up complaining and circulating in that mindset. It's interesting to me, one of the things that we discovered early on about community was, it is one of the greatest predictors to overall longevity. In fact, I think it was Wendy Suzuki is a neuroscientist that said that it was the number one predictor of longevity is the amount of positive connections you have with other people.
14:30 – I feel like this is something I've become really aware of. It's funny because Katie was the one who came up with this intention as the business was, how do we change people? How do we bring awareness to this toxic weight loss culture we're stuck in, which is like, do this crash diet, do this...

Today’s Top 3 Takeaways: Branded domain name emails.Integrating CRM’s including ZOHO, Salesforce, Zapier Automation, Click FunnelsOnline Scheduling including Schedule Once and Acuity Schedulinghttps://youtu.be/hk6DIZvzjSM
07:50 – Mail servers on their own are pretty stupid. It's the stuff that you build on top of it that matters. So Google built this application layer on top of it, that sorts it all out and allows for that custom domain email universal platform for businesses. They have two advantages. One is that they've been doing this for a really, really long time. So they they've gotten pretty good just on their own building algorithms to say for example, hey that looks like spam! The second thing is now we're getting into the age where you have Machine Learning aka AI aka Artificial Intelligence. What it is, is they are taking this giant data model, and you train it against the systems that build basically mathematical formulas that replicate the result you want.
09:10 – This is all in software. So effectively, what you do is you set up your system and then you feed it. You say, here's an email, it's spam. Here's another email, it's spam. Here's an email, it's not spam. You send millions and billions of emails through to the end, what happens is when you send an email that you don't know, it can come back and it can say this is 90% chance, it's spam. So then you just have to decide how sensitive you want to be. The more you train it, the better it gets.
20:20 – The issue that I had was this CRM, it did a bunch of stuff, I could go I could cancel like four or five services, because they all could now get consolidated. So I was super excited. I start using it, and then it seemed okay, but the email deliverability was in the toilet. So they're like, hey, look, you know, we have this tech expert that will go in and fix it for you. So I paid the extra to have the guy come in and fix it for me. So he comes in and fixes it and the deliverability gets better. It's not where it was using the other system. But it wasn't so bad that I just threw up my hands in disgust and walked away.
30:30 – So I went back to Schedule Once, and you know that they're cheap. So it's not a big deal. But they'll let you set up booking pages that all go to different calendars. That's the kicker, and I have to set up like 10 of them for all the podcasts and everything else. Then I can use the Zoho calendar thing, because it's already built into everything else, just for the stuff that involves just me.
42:15 – Final Words
The thing...
