Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe examine the Texas wide receiver rotation in 2024 and how Steve Sarkisian plans on handling a group full of new faces. The Longhorns lack proven commodities with the top three wideouts from last season's team off to the NFL, which leaves all but a handful of the targets from 2023 to be distributed to a few returning players and a handful of transfers.
The Longhorns are talented on the perimeter, but is it more likely that a true No. 1 option will emerge for Quinn Ewers? Or will Texas be deeper than ever in the Sarkisian era because so many playmakers need to touch the football?

Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe break down Tuesday's schedule announcement by the SEC that essentially finalizes the first league slate for the Texas Longhorns as a conference member. Texas only has one 11 a.m. kickoff at home and the only morning start on the road could go a long way toward easing concerns about what should be one of the most challenging games in conference play.
Plus, this week's episode looks at a continuity advantage the Longhorns have over almost everyone on their schedule. The edge has everything to do with Steve Sarkisian, Kyle Flood, Pete Kwiatkowski, Torre Becton and Quinn Ewers returning from last season.

Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe discuss where the ceiling and the floor are for the Texas Longhorns in 2024. The best case for Steve Sarkisian's team is winning a national championship, but how from that is the floor if things go wrong in the program's first season in the SEC?
This week's show also examines the College Football Hall of Fame candidacies for Longhorn legends Michael Huff and Dan Neil.

Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe start to examine the impact Johnny Nansen can have on Pete Kwiatkowski and the Texas defense in 2024.
When Kwiatkowski has changed things up from one season to the next in his time on the Forty Acres, it's been of case of bringing the right voice into the meeting room at the right time. That could be the case with Nansen, whose Arizona defenses deployed the kind of exotic looks and diverse fronts that can help the Longhorns overcome the losses of Byron Murphy and T'Vondre Sweat.

Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe dig into who the Texas Longhorns are counting on for leadership in 2024. Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe discuss the addition of former San Jose State cornerback Jay'Vion Cole from the NCAA transfer portal and Quinn Ewers' history with the deep ball. Cole brings a lot to the table for a Texas secondary starved for more athletes who can be sticky in coverage and while Ewers has struggled to consistently hit on the deep ball down the field, he improved a lot in that department in 2023 and could be even better in 2024.

Rod Babers, Matt Butler and Jeff Howe focus their discussion around the 2024 NFL Draft and the school-record 11 Texas players selected over the first six rounds. The Longhorns are headed in the right direction under Steve Sarkisian, but the 2024 draft represents the perfect bridge from the past to the future of college football and Texas has the right man for the job in place heading into to the SEC.
