Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia and a self-described skeptical agnostic for over three decades, recently stunned the world by announcing: âIt is finally time for me to confess and explain, fully and publicly, that I am a Christian.â
Why would a philosopher with a PhDâa field often dominated by atheists and agnosticsâabandon skepticism for faith? What rational evidence led him to Christ in his 50s?
In this interview, Eric Huffman sits down with Sanger to explore his remarkable transformation. Once deeply skeptical of religion, Sanger began questioning his worldview after uncovering the pervasive evil within Hollywood and elite circles, which led him to reexamine the Bible and Christian philosophy with fresh eyes.

Manifestation, the Law of Attraction, and the idea that we are all gods and goddesses - these are just a few examples of New Thought - a movement Christian apologist and YouTuber Melissa Dougherty says is taking over our churches without Christians even realizing it. Melissa used to be all-in with New Age and New Thought, but in recent years she has made it her lifeâs mission to help believers identify and deconstruct what she calls fake Christianity.

The origin of life on Earth stands as one of the great mysteries of science. Various answers have been proposed, but chemist and nanotechnologist Dr. James Tour believes the science behind these theories is largely false, and he continues to challenge top researchers to provide real evidence. Named one of the world's most influential scientific minds, Dr. James Tour often finds himself in the spotlight for his heated debates against secular scientists. In this interview, he explains why this topic is so important to him, how origin-of-life science has fallen short, and how a Jewish boy from New York fell in love with Jesus decades ago.

Human trafficking is the worldâs fastest growing crime, with an estimated 27.6 million victims worldwide at any given time. The majority of those victims are women and girls. Of those who fall victim to trafficking, only one percent are rescued. What if we looked at this problem not merely as an issue of flesh and blood, but as a spiritual battle against evil itself? Thatâs what one Houston man, Colonel Kevin Lilly, did. Leveraging his authority and connections as the Chairman of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, he helped coordinate and carry out the most significant sex trafficking sting in Texas history. This is the first time heâs sharing the behind-the-scenes details about the cartels, the victims, and how this operation provides hope for combating sex trafficking.

In this raw and honest interview with Maybe God guest host Justin BrierleyâŹ, Preston Perry tells the story of how God chased him on the streets of Chicago, and how heâs since discovered not only the importance of the truth, but how to tell the truth in a way that speaks to someoneâs heart. The apologist, spoken word poet, and co-host of "With The Perrys" talks about growing up in gangs, finding Christ, and how God convicted him about his old approach to evangelism. The generation born into evangelical purity culture has grown up, and many have started families of their own. But as time goes on, it's becoming more evident that many still struggle with purity culture's complicated legacyâits idolization of virginity, its mixed messages about modesty and lust, and its promise of a healthy marriage and great sex for those who follow the rules.
In this interview, Eric chats with celebrated author Rachel Joy Welcher about purity culture's effects on her own journey with sex and marriage. Rachel also carefully examines purity cultureâs teachings through the lens of Scripture and offers practical advice for the Christians attempting to navigate heated debates about LGBT+ relationships, premarital sex, and more.

In a world riddled with political idolatry and endless rage bait, division and strife have become the norm. Even Christians have fallen prey to this polarization, causing us to abandon the biblical call to unity in favor of our favorite political commentators. Though it seems as if meaningful and respectful disagreement is a relic of the past, apologist Sean McDowell insists that these conversations are not only possible â they're ESSENTIAL. For years now, Sean has been critically engaging the world on his own wildly popular YouTube channel. In this interview, Eric and Sean discuss the traumatic upbringing of Sean's well-known father, Josh McDowell, the questions that led to Sean's teenage deconstruction, the upcoming election, and Sean's new book, "End the Stalemate: Move Past Cancel Culture to Meaningful Conversations."

Jesus never talked about same-sex relationships. The Apostle Paul only condemned abusive same-sex sexual relationships, not consensual ones. These are two of the most popular arguments that some Christians make in favor of same-sex relationships. They are compelling claims â but are they true? In her latest book, scholar Rebecca McLaughlin analyzes the top 10 claims about scripture and sexuality and sheds light on what the Bible really says. Rebecca also speaks candidly with Maybe God host Eric Huffman about her lifelong experience with same-sex attraction.

In part two of our series on critical race theory, Eric Huffman chats with author and scholar Ed Uszynski about white evangelicals' hesitancy to address racism, and how their silence inadvertently drives onlookers away from the church and toward the "woke" left. On an incredibly personal note, Ed divulges the racist beliefs espoused in his childhood home, the process of examining his own racial biases, and why his journey to championing true, biblical justice is one we should all take. Eric also reveals his familyâs own history with racism and offers a strong call to Christians everywhere.
This must listen to episode also features Justin Giboney, cofounder of the AND Campaign, attorney and political strategist.

Critical race theory has taken center stage in our cultureâs conversation about racism. For many, itâs also become a proverbial line in the sand. If you question anything about CRT, you risk being called a racist. Suggest anything remotely positive about it, on the other hand, and theyâll say youâre a woke Marxist. In this two-part series, weâll hear from two leading experts who will help us understand CRTâs origins, its recent entry into mainstream culture, and how it complements or contradicts the Christian worldview. Part one features Neil Shenvi, author of a 2023 book called Critical Dilemma: The Rise of Critical Theories and Social Justice IdeologyâImplications for the Church and Society.

In this replay of Pastor Ericâs recent sermon series, he tackles one of the most profound questions people are asking about the Christian faith: 'Why are Christians so un-Christian?â Hypocrisy among Christians has become one of the top reasons many people say they'll never give Christianity a shot, which is why it's so important for the Church to take a deeper look at this criticism.
