  • As you may or may not know I have have a tiny being in my belly right now and I wanted to share with you a personal episode about how mindfulness has supported my pregnancy so far.

    In this episode, I cover the ups and downs of the first 6 months of pregnancy.

  • In this episode, I have the huge pleasure of talking to my teacher and supervisor, Vici Williams. She shares her wisdom from her 25 years of committed practice and her 16 years of teaching. Vici takes us on an adventure from her childhood in Cornwall, to practicing yoga in her twenties, to her first contact with Buddhism travelling in India and Nepal in the early 1990s, to her her meetings with the HH Dalai Llama and the beginnings of her teaching mindfulness within the NHS mental health team.

  • In episode 3, I have a beautiful conversation with mindfulness mediation teacher and teacher trainer Trish Bartley, where she shares practical advice and wisdom around how to bring mindfulness into our lives to support our mood and relationships with others and the world we live in.

    Trish specialises in teaching mindfulness-based courses to people with cancer. When she was training to teach mindfulness in the late 1990s she had cancer herself and from there she developed the 8 week Mindfulness-Cased Cognitive Therapy Course for Cancer.

    Her practice of mindfulness began many years before her involvement in teaching mindfulness to those with cancer, to support herself during a period of deep grief following her brother’s death. She shares invaluable advice from her many years of practice to those new to mindfulness and inspiration for those who meditate already.

    Trish is also one of the founding members of the core training team of the Centre for Mindfulness, Research and Practice (CMRP) at Bangor University. She currently teaches on the masters programme, and trains teachers and leads retreats in the UK and abroad.

    The importance of her mindfulness practice to support lifting her mood, and respond to herself and others in a kinder way. The power of practicing with a group and a teacher to support meditation practice especially if you are new to mindfulness meditation. I will be asking people what inspired them to begin meditating and what inspires them to keep going. And we are generally going to have a good old chinwag about all things meditation, mindfulness and how these practices can support us with our wellbeing and relationships with others.

    I am a mindfulness meditation teacher based in Cornwall in the UK and I am trained through Bangor University to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). This is an evidence-based 8 week mindfulness course that draws from the ancient wisdom of Buddhist meditation, modern psychology and neuroscience to support you to shift your relationship to stress in your life to reduce unnecessary struggle and experience greater peace and ease.
