✨ Who is Catherine (Cat) Storing?
My journey began in the high-stakes world of corporate leadership, where I held supportive, managerial, and director-level roles for over two decades. I witnessed how high-pressure environments slowly chipped away at creativity, productivity, and well-being—not only in employees but also in those leading them. That firsthand experience ignited my passion for helping others prevent and recover from burnout.
After a whirlwind of success as a TEDx speaker, ghostwriter, and business coach, I hit a wall myself. Burnout came knocking—and I answered. That wake-up call led me to step back, realign, and walk a deeply transformative path of healing and rediscovery.
From the serene landscapes of Bali to immersive studies in somatic healing, hypnotherapy, and family constellations, I began unearthing the layers of stored trauma that were holding me (and others) back. I became certified in Somatic Experiencing, with a specialty in Somastery, and expanded my practice with powerful hypnotherapy tools that unlock profound change at the subconscious level.
But I didn’t stop there.
I also discovered the incredible healing power of sound. Today, I integrate intentional sound frequencies, vocal activations, and vibrational healing tools to support deeper emotional release, nervous system regulation, and cellular transformation in my client sessions. Whether it’s through sound bowls, rhythmic drumming, or channeled vocal harmonics, sound helps accelerate breakthroughs that talk therapy or mindset work alone often cannot reach.
Now, I bring together everything I’ve learned—corporate wisdom, somatic intelligence, spiritual depth, and sound medicine—to help high-achieving entrepreneurs and professionals heal faster, reclaim their energy, reignite their creativity, and thrive in all areas of life. We will NOT be talking about that movie on our show on April 23rd, however we will be sharing some enlightening tips as shared by my good friend, The Oracle of OC, Livia Jenvey

In 2020, I had a mentor come into my life and say to me, "it is time to remember who you truly are"
I really was confused by his message, however, I will say that at that time I felt so lost....I knew he was on to something
Even though my brain really didn't understand what the hell he meant by that, my Soul did.
Have you ever felt lost, dazed and confused about how in the hell you got where you were?
And how you became someone you didn't recognize anymore?
That was most definitely me
And I was more than ready to figure out the WHY behind that lost, dazed and confused feeling and awaken to my truth once and for all and stop losing myself to the external world and circumstances that I had surrounded myself with that was NOT serving me.
For I realized that, without that, I was in misery and experienced a lot of personal pain and suffering.
I was the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result
AND the strange part, as the pandemic went on and 2020 became 2021, 2022 and beyond, I met more and more people just like me who felt lost and were trying to "find themself"
They were losing friends left and right
Didn't feel connected to their family or former groups/organizations, etc.
Business partnerships were ending
more and more divorces were happening
More and more people were seeking for answers
People were moving to new states/cities and countries
I am so happy and grateful that now after 4 years of grueling inner work.....Thankfully, I was able to remember who I truly was and that changed my life, my perspective and my consciousness level
And all the answers lied within, as cheesy as it sounds. It was kind of annoying to be told this over and over again.
Ultimately, to simplify it, remembering who YOU truly ARE can be summed up in one sentence or description
I AM a spiritual Being having a human experience
And, I believe, so are you.
You have all you need inside of you (a whole world actually) - you just have been taught otherwise your whole life.
We've been programmed to look outside ourselves for our answers

Today I interview my first spiritual teacher I studied with in 2016 and whom I still call upon whenever I need support.
He helped me start the journey to letting go and going inward In order to fully understand Enlightenment, you take a look at its opposite, which is ignorance. Ignorance is ignoring something that already exists. Because we are born human, we are already enlightened.
All we need to do is dissolve the barriers that keep us from recognizing that.
And Ascension does that. Ascension dissolves stresses of life so that we are able to experience more and more of who we truly are in each moment. Many people have heard the phrase, “We’re in this world, but not of this world.” We refer to the still, silent place within as the Ascendent, because that word can’t offend anybody.
The practice is designed for everybody, globally, in all cultures. Ascension has no belief system or dogma, and therefore does not interfere with one’s religious or spiritual practice.
Stress in our lives stems from when we’re young.
For instance, I had three older, adopted sisters. When I was three or four years old, they told me and my younger brother, “Well, we were chosen. Mom and Dad just got stuck with you.” These kinds of things create a lasting imprint on a person’s psyche. Even if we grow up in perfect, loving families, we still go to school. We experience judgements and comparisons and all kinds of conflict. And then comes the hormonal turmoil of puberty.
By the time we are adults, our ego-mind has created this “individual” that is supposed to be an adult and know what to do.
Ascension can help dissolve all of these constructs, judgments and then some. Optimal Performance: Ascension can be the impetus for success in business. Magdalena Grace, one of my students, wrote, “I did so well the first 6 months after I learned to Ascend that the company bought me a brand new Mercedes.”
And I have created even better life changing results since then! We will talk about ascension as a practice AND how to find/create inner peace.

Having lost over 20 people to sudden deaths like suicide, addiction related passing and all 3 of my parents between 2006-2022, I am no stranger to grief
Add to that partnership break ups, moving many times, starting over many times....and the list goes on
Abandonment wounds/loss wounds = grief
There are many, many forms and no matter how it happens for us, it is a gift and an open door to a spiritual awakening of joy/bliss/and a reservoir of love that is worth every tear and every sorrow

If you've been following me for some time, you know my grief and addiction recovery journey has benefited and been supported by countless tools for healing

Finding my new teacher/mentor Sita Severson, at the Soul of Yoga, was a game changer in 2024 and has helped me find a new lease on life and my own personal journey of spiritual awakening Sita Severson is a lifelong clairvoyant whose love of working with people led her into the world of Yoga & Ayurveda in 2005. She started her Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching practice in 2007 and later became an Ayurvedic Practitioner. In that time, she has led classes on Meditation and Yoga to the professors at Johns Hopkins University, Johns Hopkins Hospital, as well as, the Department of Aging for Baltimore, County. Since the establishment of her practice, Sita has become a published author, a beloved teacher on The Shift Network and Wisdom from North (the Scandinavian version of MindValley). She has worked with thousands of individuals as their Vedic counselor, supporting their health in mind, body and spirit. She is an RYT 500, YACEP and a Certified Yoga Therapist, and Ayurvedic Practitioner. She is newly living the RV life with her husband, three dogs and their cat.
