  • Welcome to a brand-new season of The More Than Your Age Podcast! Whether you’re a long-time listener or just discovering the show, I’m so glad you’re here. This season is packed with incredible stories from inspiring women, and I can’t wait for you to hear them!

In this episode, Erica Pasvar sits down with Michelle Woo, a master gardener, artist, and founder of Hearts and Spades. Michelle shares her journey from growing up in a creative household to working her way up as the executive director of the Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation at a very young age. Along the way, she talks about her education in graphic design, traveling abroad for an internship in Jordan, and the challenges of balancing a thriving career with motherhood.

After experiencing burnout, Michelle found solace in gardening, which became the inspiration for her floral delivery business during the pandemic. She opens up about returning to work after maternity leave, choosing contentment over chasing success, and the lessons she’s learned about navigating life’s transitions. Michelle’s story takes us through her high achievements and difficult decision to leave her “cush” job at the Billion dollar company, Spanx.

Why did she decide to do it…? You’ll have to tune in to see!

  • Welcome back to The More Than Your Age Podcast!
I appreciate you joining and listening in. I want to thank you all for being a part of a special 3-part series for both Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I know these episodes are heavier than usual, but they offer immense hope and light as we hear each woman’s story of overcoming some of the darkest seasons in their lives.
This week’s episode brings additional hope as we hear from Joya Robertson, a two-time breast cancer survivor. At one point, Joya almost gave up, but she realized she couldn’t and made a life-altering change in her treatment, which contributed to saving her life by the age of 40.

She talks about the emotional toll of facing cancer twice and how her exploration of alternative healing methods gave her new strength. Now a health coach, Joya’s story is one of faith, support, and holistic healing. She is passionate about empowering others facing similar challenges, encouraging them to take control of their health and well-being.
