The time has come to take my 45th consecutive leap of faith. Reminding myself that every waking moment is more time to recommit to the version of life I want to be living. Which is audacious at the minimum. After some serious debriefs with my fear and anxiety, I’ve decided to record a video podcast episode. While this may not seem like a big deal to you, it’s huge to me. My life is a movie, and it’s strange not to be documenting it as such. Talking about the irony (and shame spiralling) of finding out from the internet that being my regular self is perceived as being taboo, controversial and hectic. AND WHAT IT FEELS AND FELT LIKE TO LIVE WITH THAT BURDEN.
With upcoming travels to Morocco, Ghana, and Mexico on the horizon, I’m sharing my thoughts on being brave, making intentional choices, and embracing the freedom to express yourself in any environment. I’m chatting astrology AND more specifically the birth chart of this baby of mine, No Deep Dives (yes, you can cast a birth chart for a business, so why wouldn’t I)🌟

I don’t know if you can ever really prepare for a significant perspective shift in a way that self-indulgent self development makes it feel. The whole time you’re working towards being better, remembering what it’s like to be in a body you’ve never left.
I love when an online scroll bears fruit. I saw a video from a TikTok creator called Beyond Codependant who shares their matrix of people pleasing. WHICH INVOLVES MORE ARCHETYPES OF PEOPLE PLEASERS. SO COOL.
There’s the people manager, the caretaker, the matcher, and of course, the classic people pleaser. In exploring how these roles show up in relationships, it’s reminding me why it’s important to get to know your faves deeply. Not scripting through the relationship. And because you know I love it, I also tie it all into astrology — especially the 11th house — to explain how your sign and modality can influence your social dynamics.
In the spirit of sharing, I’ll also open up about my own experiences with setting boundaries, managing relationships, and the power of being self-aware. It’s like a cosmic roadmap to healthier connections, with a little DIY fashion inspiration thrown in. ✨💫

In the most dramatic way possible (and without having read the book or watched the movie) i understand the eat, pray, love lady. Seeing new places changes you from the INSIDE OUT. ALSO IM RECORDING THIS FROM FRIDA KAHLO’s HOME TOWN AHHH!!!! Coyoacán, Mexico City! 🌞✨ There’s really something about those cosmic nudges that keep showing up (hello, synchronicities!), reminding you that there is a magical art to being self aware. Or at least aware of your experiences as you’re experiencing them. Also, who was going to tell me how you can your emotions to MAKE decisions not just a tool to REFLECT on decisions already made???? They’re basically your personal GPS for making better life choices.
I’m recognising that paying attention to the small, sparkly moments can actually guide you toward a more intentional, values-driven lifestyle. Ofcourse I’ve imbued this episode with a perfect combination of astrology insights, lived lessons from my own experiments to live with more purpose. It's like a cosmic treasure map, but way more fun. ✨🗺

Normalcy? In 2024? Are you sure? I’m trying to unpack how niche behaviours, trends and belief systems have exploded into the mainstream, making everything feel ‘normal’ and yet totally strange at the same time. Australians online are becoming hyper aware and paranoid of cool in a way that feels uncharacteristically American.
We’ll also dive into the mental gymnastics of trying to be aware of what is popular and important to people (thus cool) and the ever shifting standards. Also!! Didn’t Carl Jung teach us about individuation for a reason. The belief that knowing and celebrating the chosen self is far more important than confirming.

Ok, hold on tight because in this episode we’re getting intimate with this sometimes strange concept of ‘doing the work’! Examining through various lenses including philosophy, personal growth & astrology (naturally).
Posing the question - how profound can our daily routines and disciplined efforts be in our lives? We’re getting juicy as we delve into philosophies like Carl Jung’s shadow work, Brene Brown and more!
Dipping into vibes of the Sixth and Tenth Houses in astrology we reflect on how these houses are all about mastering yourself, giving back, and shining in the public eye. We’ll chat about how to juggle your everyday tasks while staying true to your bigger goals, shake off old biases, and break free from what society expects. It’s all about boosting self-awareness and making real, meaningful changes in your life!

I love being a statistic. Mindfulness and routines are actually working for me. As in, I don’t wake up with a pit in my chestgood and a looming sense of Iike that later is validated by the horror’s on my timeline. Who knew that structure can equal freedom, they should teach us this in school , or maybe they did & I wasn’t listening! I’m chatting about some of the things that make up my regular routines, yoga, massages, and morning pages. I’ll break down the sticky, tricky world of discipline and how those vexatious thought loops can hold us back. I’ll also share some thoughts on why traditional talk therapy might not tackle the bigger picture.
With a sprinkle of wisdom from the Gita and my counselling studies, I’ll talk about syncing your values with your actions, consciously uncoupling from overthinking, and making choices that help you grow. As always, astrology is linked to EVERYTHING so you can hear all about how the sixth house connects to this discussion. This episode really has it all, listen immediately!

In this episode of the No Deep Dives podcast, I’m excavating my brain to discuss themes such as community, cisheteropatriarchy, and the concept of ideas as relationships. I like to personify my thoughts to understand them so I’m delving into how attention, focus, and creating mental space influence creativity. Plus I'll share my experiences with acupuncture, yin-yang energy balance, and the significance of integrating mind, body, and spirit for holistic well-being. As I think about my path to avoid burnout, let me stress the need for practical self-care and the importance of sharing knowledge to evolve and regulate emotions collectively. We'll wrap things up with a call for engagement, somatic suggestions, and an invitation to keep the conversation going - yes I'm talking to YOU!!

In this episode of No Deep Dives, I’m getting into Ikigai, the Japanese philosophy about finding your life’s purpose. Honestly, at first, I thought it was one of those buzzwords you'd find in an airport bookstore and kept it moving. But once I actually started applying it to my life, things started to click. I’m breaking down the four key areas of Ikigai: what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can get paid for—because we love a good paycheck! Along the way, I’ll chat about why multitasking is a myth, how social media is wrecking our attention spans, and why doing things that take actual brainpower matters. Expect my usual mix of personal stories, some astrology realness, and wellness hacks like acupuncture and journaling. If you're looking for a holistic chat on finding your purpose (without the fluff), this is for you.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!!! I'm tempted to say it's because Mars moved out of witty and superficial Gemini, into sensitive and self protective Cancer.
This episode brings me to the eternal question: does passive aggression ever get the job done? From a surreal confrontation with strangers demanding silence by the river to deep dives into emotional intelligence, we’re exploring how our demons often sneak up on us sideways. Is passive aggression a form of self-protection, or just emotional avoidance? And how does the astrological vibe of Mars in Cancer intensify this sneaky behavior?
Along the way, I reflect on lessons from yoga, breathwork, and astrology, as we unpack how to turn our emotional triggers into conscious action instead of passive stand-offs. Plus, we explore philosophical insights from the Bhagavad Gita and how it challenges us to reflect on the deeper distinction between self-awareness and self-knowledge.
We also break down how over-intellectualizing our emotions can lead to dissociation, particularly during yoga and other mindfulness practices. We’re drawing from ancient philosophy, yoga insights, and that cosmic question, “Is it better to speak or to die?” Tune in for a mix of wit, wisdom, and just the right amount of chaos. In this episode, I dive into the shifting nature of time and how novelty (or lack thereof) impacts our perception of it. From the thrill of trying new things and expanding life’s horizons, to the monotony of routine that makes the days blur together, we explore how to break free of that Groundhog Day feeling. Sorry to stress you out!!!! I've had an epiphany spurred by flashbacks of Year 10 Religion classes. Didn't we learn in Buddhism that desire is suffering? So, the pursuit of joy is riddled with pain? Maybe the "bad" stuff we experience doesn't exactly mean that our lives are deficient – perhaps they're just symptoms of being a person.

In this episode of No Deep Dives, Flex starts with a brief mention of her newfound love for the movie Dune 2, highlighting its depiction of real-life issues such as colonialism and religious engineering, before diving into the main topic: suffering, stress, and Buddhism.
She discusses the nature of suffering and how it's intertwined with human existence, referencing Buddhism's Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path as a framework for understanding and potentially overcoming suffering.
Flex also explores the concept of karma, the impact of actions and intentions on one's future, and how modern society's perception and management of stress don't align with our evolutionary development.
Throughout the episode, she shares personal anecdotes and reflections on learning, the challenges of ethical living in a capitalist society, and the pursuit of enlightenment. The discussion extends into the societal and personal factors contributing to stress and the perpetual quest for joy and comfort amidst life's inevitable hardships.

Then dissects the evolution and occasional misinterpretations of the male gaze, ultimately leading to the emergence of the female gaze phenomenon.
Through the lens of notable TikTok creators like Strange Kevin and Quinn, we'll analyze how these trends mirror deeper societal shifts in gender dynamics, self-presentation, and the pursuit of authenticity in digital spaces.
Join Flex to challenge preconceptions and unravel the layers of these trends. Who truly benefits, and are we witnessing genuine progress or just a fresh coat of paint on age-old patriarchal norms? Let's dive in and find out.
