Sunny is a Nurse Practitioner practicing and teaching in Vancouver, British Columbia. She completed her Masters in the family nurse practitioner program in 2012 and has a diverse clinical background which includes working in primary care and mental health clinics. Sunny eventually took on a position as a Director of Health for a large non-profit organization where she managed a varied health portfolio. At present, Sunny has been working as a nurse practitioner in Neurosurgery for the last 6 years.
Shortly after graduation, Sunny recognized the scarcity in formal education for NPs preparing for OSCE Exams as well as resources supporting new graduates in solidifying the practical skills for entry into practice. From this, stemmed the beginning of Sunny’s unique clinical course development for NP students and practicing NPs and the conception of her business, The Teaching NP. Sunny’s courses have supported NP students and NP graduates from across Canada and the United States. The foundations of her courses focus on the practical skills essential for clinical practice. This includes gathering client histories, providing client education, developing management plans, identifying ominous patient signs and symptoms, identifying differential diagnoses and performing physical exams.
Sunny’s ongoing commitment to innovation in education has further been highlighted with her development of online E-courses such as the NP Student Master Course and her NP Physical Exam course. The creation of online courses has supported students with the option of online learning and convenience. Sunny also offers comprehensive clinical templates as well as interview prep resources and she continues to support NPs through innovative education delivery.

Kristen is a registered nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and is the Inaugural Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being. Kristen currently serves in her role at the Jefferson Bucks, Frankford, and Torresdale Campuses. Prior to this role, she has performed in various nursing leadership roles as well as cared for numerous patients in the emergency medicine setting. As a graduate of Holy Family University and Walden University, Kristen has remained steadfast in advocating for the well-being of the nursing staff working alongside her as well as for the nursing profession.
Kristen is the current President-Elect of the Philadelphia Emergency Nurses Association as well as an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association’s Wellness Committee. She is also a Certified SMART Practitioner and provides SMART training opportunities to her nursing peers within the Jefferson Health System. Kristen has presented on well-being in healthcare through various agencies including the Board of Certification for Emergency Nurses, the Emergency Nurses Association, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the AACN, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services in Maine. Kristen most recently had the opportunity to present “Caring for the Caregivers” at the Benson Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital’s quarterly educational update. Kristen will also be a panelist at the Benson Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital’s annual conference.
