A pizza delivery man was hospitalized Dec. 10 in the evening after being attacked by a pit bull on Brian Circle. The dog then attacked the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputy who responded to the call.
The dog, whose name was Cupo, was shot and killed by the deputy.

A man's fatal shooting of a neighbor in April was justified, the State Attorney's Office announced.
At 12:41 a.m. April 1, Donald Hodges fatally shot his neighbor Danny King in a fight on his property on Green Road in Baker. Earlier in the day, King, a known methamphetamine user and convicted felon, had been arguing with two women — Sara King, who he lived with, and Terri Smith, who was at his house that day — according to the State Attorney's Office.

DESTIN — Two Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated for their role in the shooting of a suicidal man have been cleared. During the gunfire, a woman came out from a room four doors down from where Patton was standing. She was accidentally struck in the calf by one of the rounds, the report. This is the 911 call after the woman was shot.
